  165. 04.) EASY, NORMAL, HARD - G0400
  166. ===============================================================================
  167. ===============================================================================
  168.
  169. The game features three difficulty settings, and here I'll explain the
  170. differences between them.
  171.
  172. 1. EASY MODE
  173. - HP automatically recovers between battles.
  174. - 0,75x modifier is applied to enemy stats.
  175. - You cannot obtain all enemy item drops (those will be greyed out).
  176. - EP obtained after battles is graded like this: big enemy 4 EP, medium enemy 1
  177. EP, and small enemy about 0,25 EP.
  178. - Gil dropped by enemies is 50% less than on NORMAL mode.
  179. - Certain EP abilities cost less to use (for example Teleport costs 2 EP).
  180. - Using EP ability Escape gives no penalty to remaining time for current day.
  181. - If the enemy strikes Light [BAD encounter], no HP penalty is incurred.
  182.
  183. 2. NORMAL MODE
  184. - HP does not recover between battles.
  185. - Enemy stats are at default value.
  186. - You cannot obtain all enemy item drops (those will be greyed out).
  187. - EP obtained after battles is graded like this: big enemy 2 EP, medium enemy
  188. 0,5 EP, and small enemy about 0,12 EP.
  189. - Some EP abilities' costs are higher than on EASY (like Teleport with 3 EP).
  190. - Using EP ability Escape returns Light to the same state as before entering
  191. combat, but 1 hour passes on remaining time for current day.
  192. - If the enemy strikes Light [BAD encounter], she takes 5% MAX HP as damage.
  193.
  194. 3. HARD MODE
  195. - This mode can only be selected after you defeat final storyline boss on
  196. either Day 13 or Day 14.
  197. - HP does not recover between battles.
  198. - 3,5x modifier is applied to enemy stats.
  199. - You can obtain all enemy item drops.
  200. - EP obtained after battles is graded like this: big enemy 1 EP, medium enemy
  201. 0,25 EP, and small enemy about 0,06 EP.
  202. - Gil dropped by enemies is 50% more than on NORMAL mode.
  203. - Some EP abilities' costs are higher than on EASY (example Teleport for 3 EP).
  204. - Using EP ability Escape returns Light to the same state as before entering
  205. combat, but 1 hour passes on remaining time for current day.
  206. - If the enemy strikes Light [POOR encounter], she takes 5% MAX HP as damage.
  207. - Certain weapons and shields can only be obtained in this mode.
  208. - 13 garbs can obly be obtained on this mode, and all are bought in shops.
  209.
  210. 4. PALLAS ATHENA GARB
  211. - To get Pallas Athena garb (obtain Platinum Trophy), you do NOT have to play
  212. on HARD mode, as all trophies can be obtained on EASY mode.
  213.
  214.
  215.
  216. ===============================================================================
  217. ===============================================================================
  218. 05.) NEW GAME PLUS - G0500
  219. ===============================================================================
  220. ===============================================================================
  221.
  222. 1. You can start a NG+ in three ways:
  223. A - Getting Game Over by running out of days.
  224. B - Completing the game by defeating the final boss.
  225. C - While already on NG+, a green hourglass (Crystal of Atonement) appears in
  226. the Ark from second day onward. Examine the hourglass and confirm your
  227. choice twice to immediately suspend your current game progression. Make a
  228. save and use it to start the game from beginning. This is much better than
  229. having to manually truck through the days.
  230. Note: another Crystal of Atonement is available on Final Day before the
  231. cathedral, should you change your mind.
  232.
  233. 2. When you start a New Game+ (regardless of how achieved), you retain:
  234. - All items, except quest items.
  235. - All weapons, except one weapon which you get in final dungeon.
  236. - All shields, except one shield which you get in final dungeon.
  237. - All accessories.
  238. - Accumulated statistic bonuses, EP and ATB increments, as well as item slots.
  239. Even if you completed quest X on first play, complete it again on second play
  240. for a second (smaller) statistic boost.
  241. - Gil obtained.
  242. - All garbs and adornments collected.
  243. - EP abilities obtained.
  244. - Any and all quest progression is not carried over.
  245. - Enemies slain counter is not carried over. This counter is important for
  246. Omega enemies (I'll explain more on that in the walkthrough). Omega enemies
  247. are called the Last Ones in the game, but when you fight one, it has a greek
  248. sign for "omega" next to its name, hence my calling Omega enemies.
  249. - Accessories can now be upgraded (read next bullet for more info).
  250.
  251. 3. When you start a NG+ from a save on which you defeated final boss, you can:
  252. - You can choose HARD mode.
  253. - You gain the ability to upgrade shields and weapons at the Forges. To upgrade
  254. a weapon or shield, you need cash and upgrade materials. Mats are either
  255. dropped by enemies of bought from certain shops. Weapons and shields can also
  256. be downgraded, if you so choose.
  257. - Accessories are upgraded a bit differently. To cite an example: when you get
  258. to Luxerion for the first time, you begin just before the N train station.
  259. Look to your left to spot a ladder. Climb it and jump to nearby railing to
  260. find a treasure ball with accessory inside. When you open this same treasure
  261. ball again on NG+, the accessory you got on first round will get upgraded.
  262. You can upgrade it one more time on NG++. However, on NG+++ you will then get
  263. cash instead.
  264. - Forges carry more powerful equipment if you play on HARD.
  265. - Damage output is increased by adding a new option in settings menu - Limit
  266. Break. Get it by collecting treasure cube in the Ark on Day 1. When this
  267. option is ON, Lighty's STR and MAG can be increased to 9999, instead of
  268. capped 5000. And her HP can be increased to staggering 99999 HP!
  269. However, you're not graded after boss or Omega battles, and you can't submit
  270. scores. You can still obtain trophies though.
  271.
  272. 4. Completing main quests, subquests or Canvas of Prayers quests that you have
  273. already completed in previous playthrough will yield lesser rewards in terms
  274. of stat boosts. You get more gil, though.
  275.
  276.
  277.
  278. ===============================================================================
  279. ===============================================================================
  280. 06.) WALKTHROUGH - G0600
  281. ===============================================================================
  282. ===============================================================================
  283.
  284. First off, here is some important advice to take with you.
  285.
  286. 1. By completing six main quests and subquests, which HAVE to be completed as
  287. part of main quests, you can accumulate enough Eradia for Yggdrasil to bloom
  288. six times (equals six additional days) in order for Light to reach Day 13.
  289.
  290. 2. However, Yggdrasil can bloom seven times - five orbs will bloom on tree's
  291. stem, then tree's flower blooms partially, and finally tree's flower blooms
  292. completely into an orb.
  293.
  294. 3. Completing all six main quests and at least 40 subquests before the end of
  295. Day 12 has following effects:
  296. - Yggdrasil blooms for the 7th time, therefore you can reach Day 14!
  297. - On Day 13 you get access to Ultimate Lair bonus dungeon.
  298. - On NG+ you get to fight different version of final boss.
  299. - In order to reach Day 14, you must complete at least 40 subquests. ATM
  300. I confirm that having 40 subquests is enough to reach Day 14. Kouli
  301. comments that 37 subquests is enough, which I shall test in the course of
  302. this walkthrough.
  303. - After blasting final boss, you can enjoy extra ending scene.
  304.
  305. 4. Depending on which day you decide to complete MAIN quests, you may fight a
  306. different version of the boss for that quest. This applies to main quests 1,
  307. 2, and 4.
  308.
  309. 5. Completing MAIN quests may award any or all of the following:
  310. - HP boost
  311. - STR boost
  312. - MAG boost
  313. - EP counter boost
  314. - ATB bar boost
  315. - Item slot expansion
  316. - gil
  317.
  318. 6. Completing subquests may award any or all of the following:
  319. - HP boost
  320. - STR boost
  321. - MAG boost
  322. - Item slot expansion
  323. - gil
  324. - garb
  325. - weapon
  326. - shield
  327. - adornment
  328.
  329. 7. Completing Canvas of Prayers quests may award any or all of the following:
  330. - HP boost
  331. - STR boost
  332. - MAG boost
  333. - gil
  334. - weapon
  335. - shield
  336. - adornment
  337. - item
  338.
  339. 8. There are 66 subquests in the entire game.
  340. - Luxerion has 20 subquests.
  341. - Yusnaan has 16 subquests.
  342. - Wildlands have 22 subquests.
  343. - Dead Dunes have 8 subquets.
  344.
  345. 9. There are 83 Canvas of Prayers quests in the entire game.
  346. - Luxerion has 13 quests.
  347. - Yusnaan has 14 subquests.
  348. - Wildlands have 25 subquests.
  349. - Dead Dunes have 18 subquets.
  350. - And finally 13 global quests, accessible from any Canvas.
  351.
  352. 10. The maximum amount of completed subquests on FIRST playthrough is 64, and
  353. on any subsequent playthrough 65.
  354. - There's a quest in Dead Dunes that can only be completed in NG+.
  355. - One Luxerion subquest must be failed in order to access another subquest.
  356. You can complete all Canvas of Prayers quests on any playthrough.
  357.
  358. 11. Depending on whether or not you strike the enemy to initiate a battle:
  359. - Striking unaware enemy begins the battle with all enemies at 75% MAX HP.
  360. - Striking aware enemy begins the battle with all enemies at 90% MAX HP.
  361. - Light suffers 5% MAX HP penalty if enemy strikes her (not valid on EASY).
  362.
  363. 11. Three real life seconds equal one ingame minute. So rounding it down 72
  364. real life minutes equal 1 ingame day. The game stops time while you're in
  365. menus, cutscenes, or battles. The only exception is Ultimate Lair, where
  366. time flows even when yu're in a battle.
  367.
  368. 12. Here are several instances on how to recover your HP.
  369. - Play on EASY mode where HP autorecovers between battles.
  370. - Use items like Potions from item menu.
  371. - Regen buff, applicable thru various means like specific potions, or as an
  372. auto-ability of certain equipment.
  373. - Curaga EP ability.
  374. - Sleep at a hotel.
  375. - Eat at a restaurant.
  376. - Mediguard ability.
  377. - Certain auto-abilities of accessories.
  378.
  379. 13. Be sure to read the section on Rare Forge!

  389.
  390. Select your difficulty mode - personally I'd recommend EASY, since the game is
  391. played quite differently from FFXIII, or FFXIII-2. You also have access to the
  392. same stuff as if you'd play on NORMAL, plus since enemies drop more EP, you can
  393. accomplish more during the days. But in the end, it's up to you. I'll be basing
  394. the walkthrough on NORMAL mode.
  395.
  396. If you have Internet connection to your console, I advise turning on Outworld
  397. Service as it will be of huge assistance. During you travels you may encounter
  398. people or animals with bluish text above them. Talking to such a person or an
  399. animal will bring you to a menu from which you can sometimes buy an item or a
  400. weapon. Be on the lookout for Ether (2800 gil) and Turbo Ether (5600 gil) -
  401. these two items recover EP gauge, which can prove to be a lifesaver in certain
  402. situations. Sometimes you may be lucky and get an Elixir offered! If you have
  403. 360000 gil to spare, buy the Elixir for a trophy.
  404.
  405. - The Patron's Palace / The Ballroom
  406.
  407. After the intro scene Lighty is thrust into the first battle. Pass [Schemata]
  408. tutorial and follow the instructions, then kill Anubys foe. Post-battle you get
  409. to wrestle with [Camera Settings] tutorial and then you can move around the
  410. area. Subdue all foes present, and when you fight another Anubys you'll be
  411. greeted with [Guard] tutorial.
  412.
  413. With all foes defeated, continue up the stairs and a robed person will teach
  414. you about [Recovery Items]. Buy Potions for all items slots - you start with
  415. six items slots, but it can be increased by completing main quests and one
  416. specific subquest. Continue upstairs to see Snow OHKO an enemy and run forward.
  417. Hold R2 to dash, but this drains the blue bar in lower left. If it drains
  418. completely, you have to wait for small cooldown before you can dash again.
  419.
  420. - The Patron's Palace / Passageway
  421.
  422. When you enter a battle with at least two enemies, prepare for [Changing
  423. Targets] tutorial. Continue after Snow, climbing the ladders and whatnot until
  424. you get to blocked passage. On one of pillars nearby is the switch you need to
  425. press to open the path. Carry on and you smash it up with friendly neighborhood
  426. dragon Zaltys.
  427.
  428. [Staggering] tutorial is presented. Assault the foe with Thunder until you
  429. achieve stagger, then switch to the other garb and continue using regular
  430. attack's on Zaltys' head to get second stagger. At this point dragon falls on
  431. the ground and is completely helpless for duration of stagger. The game will
  432. now allow you to use your first EP ability Overclock. For the cost of 2 EP
  433. Lighty's abilities are sped up and have no ATB cost, and all enemies' actions
  434. are slowed to a crawl. Overclock doesn't make you invincible, so you must still
  435. beware not to take on too much than you can chew.
  436.
  437. Anyway, activate Overclock and pester your enemy with physical attacks until it
  438. goes down. After the battle climb another ladder and push on to TM to end this
  439. quest.

  444.
  445. - The Ark / Divine Garden
  446.
  447. If you want to play Lightning dress-up, she can get 71 garbs in the game. 57 on
  448. your first playtrough, 13 on HARD playthrough, and last garb when you obtain
  449. Platinum trophy. She starts with two garbs already - EQUILIBRIUM and DARK MUSE.
  450.
  451. Official guide technically counts 74 in-game garbs, so let me explain. Way
  452. later in the game three of your existing garbs get upgraded. They retain same
  453. name, but get a "+" added on the end, and their abilities change. Visually they
  454. still remain the same, though - so that's why I count 71 garbs instead of 74.
  455.
  456. Begin by collecting four TC floating around to get weapon DEVIL'S DAUGHTER,
  457. shield PRYTWEN, BLIZZARD LV1 & LIGHT GUARD LV1, and a garb MIST WIZARD. When
  458. you collect all TCs, [Customizing Schemata] tutorial rears its ugly head.
  459.
  460. Complete it and you obtain EP ability Escape - for no EP cost you can escape
  461. from any battle, but it comes with a penalty. If you're playing on NORMAL /
  462. HARD, one hour passes on the remaining time for the current day. If you check
  463. main menu, you'll see "EP abilities" menu with another EP ability Curaga (for 2
  464. EP you can completely recover your HP).
  465.
  466. Now you have to examine the bookshelf with Book of Conquests on it, and choose
  467. to fight Zaltys from Main Quest 0. A handy [EP Abilities] tutorial pops up - as
  468. for the foe, just repeat what you did several minutes ago, or choose Escape
  469. like the tutorial asked you to. While in the Ark battles, you can freely expend
  470. EP and items which are then refreshed and returned to you upon conclusion of
  471. the battle.
  472.
  473. Okiedokie, talk to Hope several times to get the lowdown on what is going on
  474. and what you're supposed to do. Eventually he gives you two choices, so pick

  790.
  791. OK, welcome to Luxerion. After several scenes a quest screen is brought up - it
  792. briefly explains what you must do, who is the quest giver, what items you need
  793. to obtain (in this case none), and what is the reward (listed as ??? until you
  794. complete it). Accept the subquest LSQ "Whither faith" with Square, and let's
  795. begin the adventure for real, shall we?
  796.
  797. It's Day 1, and you have 9 hours before it ends. There's also a counter with
  798. how many days you have left until end of the world - currently it's stuck at
  799. six (so technically the game will be over by end of Day 7). By completing main
  800. quests and sidequests you can increase the counter by generating additional
  801. seven days, which we shall do in this walkthrough, dontcha worry.
  802.
  803. Look left to spot a ladder, climb it and talk to Surveying Man guy on top for a
  804. clue. Jump to next catwalk and open TBL01, then speak with Officer nearby for a
  805. clue. Drop down and try to enter the train station to be stopped by a guy with
  806. blue cap - accept LSQ "Where are you, Holmes?".
  807.
  808. Turn around and you'll see a bunch of paper clips scattered on the ground.
  809. Examine those for a clue, then talk to Outfitters owner for another clue, and
  810. to the hotel's Innkeeper for another clue. To the left of hotel in a corner
  811. you'll find Holmes, a missing person you're looking for. Talk to him and walk
  812. back to Thorton who gave you the quest - don't run or Holmes will go back to
  813. where you found him. Address Thorton and collect your rewards for completing
  814. LSQ2, and you also get next clue from Holmes. While on the station, talk to two
  815. more girls for two more clues (Resident and Pious Cleric).
  816.
  817. Depending on amount of time passed, more people show up that can give you clues
  818. (like Theorizing Gentleman past 10PM), but you have heard enough already
  819. enabling you to complete LSQ1. Go to the client of the subquest and talk to him
  820. twice for a reward.
  821.
  822. You obtain EP ability Chronostasis - for 1 EP you can temporarily stop the flow
  823. of time.

  828.
  829. Turn around and there's a girl in feathers... what is Chocolina doing here?
  830. Talk to her to be introduced to Canvas of Prayers (these are located near every
  831. train station in the game - two in Lux, one in Yusnaan, one in Dead Dunes, and
  832. one in Wildlands). Canvas offers a plethora of quests in which you have to kill
  833. enemies to get items they carry or find requested items in treasure balls. But
  834. sometimes the item requested will be as a shiny spot on the ground. More on
  835. Canvas quests in appropriate subsection.
  836.
  837. PRO TIP: Getting Miqo'te Dress garb for healing and Esuna! This gard comes with
  838. Mediguard+ MAX ability - Lighty recovers HP while guarding, and also casts
  839. Esuna if she's been debuffed.
  840.
  841. Go to North Station and use the train to travel to Yusnaan, but make sure you
  842. get there before 3AM. There are four chocobogirls in Yusnaan at following
  843. locations:
  844.
  845. - In the Side Alley.
  846. - Near Forge in Armor Alley.
  847. - Near Outfitters in Hawker's Row.
  848. - E from General Store in Hawker's Row.
  849.
  850. You also have to examine one of many chocobogirl posters which advertise a
  851. special reward. The poster I recommend examining is the one closest to
  852. chocobogirl in Side Alley. Once you have checked such a poster, Lightning
  853. learns of the secret word "Meow-meow choco-chow!". Now talk to all ofur
  854. aforemention girls and Miqo'te Dress is yours.
  855.
  856. Back to main quest in Luxerion now - go to hotel and check the stall to the
  857. right. Inside you'll find "Adventuring Essentials", a guy with a backpack -
  858. talk to him for [Libra Enemy Information] tutorial. These peddlers will sell
  859. you Libra scrolls with information on enemies - on New Game Plus playthroughs
  860. they will also sell materials for upgrading weapons/shields.
  861.
  862. Check in with hotel, and advance the time to 12PM. At this time 8 hooded guys
  863. appear on North Station Plaza. Keep Lighty out of their sight and shadow them
  864. thru Restaurant District and Haunted Row to the graveyard. Once there, hide
  865. behind the red boxes for a scene.
  866.
  867. Alternatively, you can try to dispatch the heretics by killing the one with "!"
  868. above his head to advance the quest. But if not successful, just take care of
  869. all of his buddies. Remember to try for Initiative bonus by attacking them
  870. first with R1. With a bit of luck you may get Deshell and Deprotect abilities
  871. dropped by them. Then go to the graveyard's entrance and check the phone booth.
  872.
  873. In any case, now you'll have to figure out the 4-digit code by finding four
  874. special inscriptions of numbers on the wall somewhere in Luxerion. All four
  875. numbers can be found anytime during the day, though one number is located in
  876. the slums, so you can only access it between 12PM-6AM. Note that code is
  877. different on each playthrough.

  882.
  883. Turn around and collect the shinies on the ground. Most of the time, collecting
  884. shinies will give you items you can sell to shops for some quick gil, but
  885. sometimes shiny will be a key item important for Canvas quests. Red shinies are
  886. weapons or accessories, and these usually appear after killing Omega enemy, or
  887. boss of main quest.
  888.
  889. The majority of Luxerion is now open for research, with the exception of the
  890. graveyard and the cathedral. Let's make a pass around the city and open some
  891. treasure balls, shall we? At this moment you can collect contents of TBL02,
  892. TBL03, TBL07, TBL08, TBL09, TBL10, TBL11, TBL12.
  893.
  894. While you're walking around, you are likely to encounter a blackish dome
  895. covering an area of Luxerion. These are known as Chaos Zones, and in order to
  896. make it disappear you have to kill an enemy inside Chaos Zone. It's not as easy
  897. as it sounds, though - the enemy you fight in Chaos Zone has following traits:
  898. - 1,5x multiplier to HP, STR and MAG
  899. - enemy has permanent Regen which can't be dispeled
  900. - enemy is less likely to recoil
  901. - debuffs on enemy expire faster than usual
  902. - debuffs on Lighty last longer than usual
  903. - when battle is won, you get +1 EP bonus recovery
  904. - when battle is won, you get 3x usual amount of gil
  905. - when battle is won, item drop rate is doubled
  906.
  907. You will almost always find purple shinies in Chaos Zones - these are Soul
  908. Seeds. Collect them in order to sell them to specific NPCs for small gil reward
  909. and occassional item like Ether or Elixir.
  910.
  911. Now complete some subquests in Luxerion (details are in next subsection), shop
  912. around at armor shops to buy new garbs, weapon shops for weapons, or combine
  913. abilities at magic shop. When the clock hits 6AM, you'll be teleported back to
  914. the Ark.
  915.
  916. Assuming you did say at least 6 quests, you should have enough Eradia for
  917. Yggdrasil to bloom for the first time. Collect stuff from treasure cube (garb
  918. RED MAGE, weapon LIBERATOR, shield JUNO SOSPITA), then talk to Hope and pick
  919. second choice (a new addition). Next talk to Hope again, pick third choice and
  920. go through both red entries. Now you're allowed to leave, so pick Luxerion
  921. destination and off we go.
  922.
  923. Stroll over to Wharf of the Faithful (on the map looks like a dead end in a
  924. shape of reverse "L") - here you'll find first number for the 4-digit code. Now
  925. go to Back Alleys and sniff out second number next to set of stairs. Continue
  926. by going to 1st Ave. near S train station - on the map go left from Canvas to
  927. find third number on the wall. Note - in the corner next to Canvas is Strange
  928. Man, a man with moustach man who sells you info on Centrum code, if you part
  929. with 500 gil.
  930.
  931. Last number is located in Warren at Wall of Wealth, so you have three options:
  932. - Past 12AM, go to the phone booth in Forsaken Graveyard Gate, and try to guess
  933. the fourth digit, which finally grants you access to graveyard in case you're
  934. successful. Doing this will cause you to miss rather important story scene.
  935. - Past 12AM, go to the phone booth in Forsaken Graveyard Gate, and try to guess
  936. the fourth number... if you're wrong, you can still choose to continue. In this
  937. case you'll have to fight Dreadnought - defeating it opens the gate to
  938. graveyard. Doing this will cause you to miss rather important story scene.
  939. - Past 12AM, go to the Wall of Wealth via Rusted Gate and locate the last
  940. number along E side.
  941.
  942. Seems like you have some time to spare, don't you? You can complete subquests
  943. and Canvas quests, or choose to go to one of other three areas of the game to
  944. start main quests there. These are covered in details further down the guide -
  945. as I explained at start of walkthrough, I do not wish to have you jump from
  946. point A to point B as I specify. Choose your own route of saving the world.
  947.
  948. With regards to abilities and preparation for boss battles, I would advise:
  949. A) Saboteur role for debuffing the enemy: most useful debuffs are Deprotect,
  950. Deshell, Debrave, Defaith, Poison, and Imperil. But your choice should depend
  951. on the situation and what the enemy is weak against. Noel doesn't have any
  952. immunity to negative statuses, though he is resistant to some before they
  953. stick.
  954. B) Commando role for physical brutality against enemies weak against physical
  955. attacks: this sometimes occurs when the enemy has been KOed, while some enemies
  956. are weak to physicals right off the bat (like Gremlin). When you get Artemis's
  957. Arrows ability from Soldier of Peace garb, you will be almost invincible.
  958. Debuffing the enemy with Deprotect is recommended in order to inflict even more
  959. damage.
  960. C) Ravager role for that magic touch, when physical attacks just don't cut it.
  961. Debuffing the enemy with Deshell is recommended in order to inflict even more
  962. damage.
  963.
  964. So it's past midnight, and we're going to Wall of Wealth via Rusted Gate.
  965. You'll soon run into the female that keeps pulling pranks on Lighty, and a
  966. rather important story scene plays. Were you to go with other two options I
  967. presented above, you wouldn't get to see this scene. Note: it appears that this
  968. number is always zero (0). I played through the game at least 8 times so far
  969. and it never changed. Now hustle to the phone booth in Forsaken Graveyard Gate,
  970. speak the magic code and access is granted.
  971.

  976. Crawl through the Sinner's Corner, collecting TBL13 and TBL14 in the process,
  977. until you come to the Monument. After the scene DO NOT FORGET to pick key item
  978. CREST OF ETRO to the right of Lighty's position.

  982. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
  983.
  984. Go back to the Warren, specifically N end of Wall of Joy, and with the crest in
  985. hand you can now access The Trench where Noel is hiding. Talk to the hooded guy
  986. in front of the door and show him the crest, then walk past him to spot Noel.
  987.
  988. In case you didn't collect CREST OF ETRO from Monument, you can do following:
  989. - return to Monument and collect it
  990. - kill the Heretic in front of you and you get Crest post-battle
  991. - another Crest can be found near Phone Booth in Forsaken Graveyard Gate
  992. - a Crest can be found near all spots with the digit for the code
  993.
  994. He runs away, and we shall give chase. When you get to the ledge with blinking
  995. red light, look down to spot a dead end with TBL15. Climb back up and carry on
  996. - keep an eye out for a truck down below with two barrels in it. Near this
  997. truck is TBL16, which is the final TB in Luxerion.
  998.
  999. Equip Thundara and Sparkstrike you picked up from TBs, and press on after Noel.
1000. I also recommend fighting some Fanatics so they drop Deshell and Deprotect
1001. abilities, then equip these as well.

1044. he's staggered: Unprotected, Unshelled, Cursed, or Hindered.
  1045.
1046. Noel has a couple of tricks up his sleeve, like buffing himself with Vigilance,
1047. making it harder for Light to interrupt his attacks. You should also be careful
1048. of his multihit special attack, which can be guarded against completely with
1049. perfect guards. But to do that you must perfect guard each hit separately. When
