Lynne Harris is one of the fiercest, most thoughtful, passionate education advocates I have ever met. During our shared time on the Board of Education, you could always count on her to have read every single word of every single contract, combining her legal, nursing, and teaching expertise to ask tough questions and ensure that everyone in our community’s needs were looked out for. Lynne makes the Board of Education a full-time lifestyle, investing every spare moment outside of the boardroom into visiting schools, meeting students, and keeping her fingers on the pulse of the community. I cannot think of a better advocate to have looking out for MCPS.
