Born to the ultra-rich Yang family, Ophelia has lived her life squarely on the lap of luxury. Graduating at the top of her class at both med AND law school, there was no door, chance, or opportunity closed off to her. A hedonist to the core, there really is nothing she won't really do to fulfill every random want that comes to mind, especially with powers of psychic domination at her disposal. How long will she be able to keep up her reckless lifestyle when the Summer Court comes calling for their emissary?

It's not exactly clear whether or not Ophelia is entirely capable of emotional reinforcement or empathy- she has not had any friendships, romances, or emotional involvements since her years at university. She has no real friends or attachments beyond whomever it is she currently has her eye on, only for them to be swiftly discarded within the day, if that. Her promiscuity has often been a source of conflict between her and her peers and rivals in high society.

The one constant, insofar as a year spent with the young vampiress as her ward qualifies as a 'constant', is Nola Coates, the Red Court fledgling under her care, though Ophelia views her more as a ward, one she is bound by faerie oath to protect and aid, than as a would-be partner. Not even Ophelia herself knows why, despite treating the young girl as a prized plaything, she takes the role of mentorship quite seriously.

Ophelia's drive is singular: now that she stands at the top of human society, she now aims to usurp the position of Summer Lady and claim the Mantle of Summer for herself. Her ancestors are said to have been the Queens of Autumn, long long ago, though she denies that her ambitions are at all related to her familial ties. Whether or not she will accept the consequences of this personal quest, one that is fated to culminate in a choice between her fae and human heritage, is yet to be seen.

If Ophelia is said to have any flaws, apart from the obvious vulnerability to cold iron and inability to tell untruths, it is that, ironically enough, the one person she is unable to be perfectly honest with is herself. She believes that her one chance at a genuine emotional connection has long since passed, and has chosen instead to indulge in her basest desires to fill that void, refusing to admit she craves some level of companionship.
