秘書をしていたときは、雇い主が広告用の写真を撮るのに
同行していただけど・・・・・・。
The shoot for my publicity photo.
When I was a secretary, I was with my boss going around to take pictures for advertisements.

まさか、自分が撮られる側になるなんてね。
人生、何が起きるかわからないわ。
But now, who'd think that I'll be the one whose picture's being taken.
There's just no telling what life has in store for you.

You sure are calm about this

そう見せているだけうお。
自信のないそぶりを見せても
信頼は得られないでしょう。
That's just how I appear to be.
Even if I were to show my lack of confidence,
it won't lead to gaining of trust of someone.

何年もそうやってふるまい続けて仕事に打ち込んで・・・・・・
気がついたら、この仏頂面よ。
That has been ingrained to me through those years of working and behaving like that...
So much, that the next thing I know is that I already have this sullen look on me.

でも、安心して。
レッスンのおかげで、昔よりは笑えるようになったから。
それに、心なし目つきも優しくなった気がする。
But, don't worry.
Thanks to the lessons I've taken, I can now smile much better than before.
Also, I think that my expressionless look has softened.

あなたは、どんな風に撮れたいですか？
What kind of image of yourself do you want to be seen in the picture?

・・・・・・まるで就職の面接みたいね。
もしかして、試されてるのかしら？
...That question is like that of a job interview.
Could it be that you're trying to test me?

なら、どうしてそんなことを聞いてくるの？
私は、貴方に言われた通りにしてみせるのに・・・・・・。
In that case, why are you asking me that question?
Here I am, ready to do whatever you ask of me...

・・・・・・そうだったわね。貴方は導いてくれるけど、
雇い主でも上司でもないね。
My opinion, you ask.
...So, that's how it was. You are guiding me but you're neither my boss nor my superior.

自分自身で歩こうとしないと、
アイドルとは言えないのね。
It's not just about meeting the expectations...
If I myself won't take the initiative to move, I couldn't call myself an idol.

どんな私を撮ってもらえばいいかわからないわ。

I have no idea on how my picture should be taken.

それにしても・・・・・・ふふっ、あんなに自分の顔を見たのは初めてよ。
毎日見てるはずなのに、どれも違って見えるから不思議ね。

At any rate... Fufu  That was the first time I saw myself looking like that.
I know I should've been seeing every day, but it's somewhat strange seeing how different it was.
