Ore Tycoon 2 is a button tycoon game on Roblox. It is the sequel to Ore Tycoon, and is the second installment of the Ore Tycoon series. It was officially released on December 11, 2017.
Ore Tycoon 2 is currently the only game that is being developed by PlantStudios. In the game, players must step on buttons in their refinery in order to progress.
Contents
Gameplay
Players must step on buttons to progress through the game. Players can make money by purchasing mines, which drop ore. Upgraders will upgrade the ores that mines drop to increase their value. Ores are processed when they reach the furnace, generating money for the player.

Cash is used to purchase tycoon items. There are also other currencies other than cash:
Researching
Researching is a mechanic that players can do after achieving certain requirements to progress through the game and level up. It is basically a rebirthing mechanic.

  This is technically the third game in the series, with Ore Tycoon being the first, the now-closed Ore Tycoon: Age of Depletion spin-off game being the second, and Ore Tycoon 2 being the third.
  Contrary to popular belief, Ore Tycoon 2 is not the first game that was developed by PlantStudios. The two official games that were developed by PlantStudios before Ore Tycoon 2 are Ore Tycoon: Age of Depletion and the PlantStudios Hub. Both have been long closed.

Ore Tycoon 2
Players spawn on an island where they can build their tycoons. This game also has its own premium currency known as tycoon bux which can be used in the shops. The game also has levels which you can level up by researching. Every time you research, you will earn currencies known as Neoorbs, which can be used to upgrade your tycoon and unlocks a feature in the tycoon.
Levels
Levels can be gained from researching. Researching also includes earning neoorbs and tycoon bux. Levelling up may also include unlocking a new feature in the tycoon. When you research, you earn neoorbs and have to start the tycoon again which makes it similar to rebirth.
Level 1
You first buy a conveyor for free. You can then buy the iron excavator and start clicking the button to earn cash. The available floors when you are in level 1 are the first floor and the underground floor. The mines in the first floor are: Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold, Iridium, Platinum, Titanium, Osmium, Crystal, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Turquoise, Amethyst, Opal, Jade, Garnet, Peridot, Aquamarine, Diamond, Alexandrite, Topaz, Uranium, Plutonium, Promethium, Polonium, Radium, Californium. The mines underground are: Obsidian, Quartz, Lapis Lazuli, Germanium, Malachite.
Level 2
To unlock Level 2, you first need to buy the malachite mines underground and a certain amount of cash. When you do unlock Level 2, you will start your tycoon again but this time with the ability to purchase the second floor.
