  1. 4NXC AND I - THE KEYS TO GREATNESS
  2.
  3. So you want to convert one of these pesky XCI files to good ol' NSP? Fear not, mortal! Help is near!!!
  4.
  5. 1. Get 4NXCI for your OS
  6.
  7. Windows: https://github.com/The-4n/4NXCI/releases
  8. MacOS: https://github.com/The-4n/4NXCI/files/3101395/4nxci-v4.03_macos.zip
  9. Linux: https://anonfile.com/q0m7Jck5n3/4nxci-v4.03-linux_zip
  10.
  11. Linux and MacOS don't get official builds. Those version were compiled by users.
  12. Credit, Thanks and fluffy hugs to hbgs own guts for the Linux build.
  13.
  14.
  15. 2. Get a proper keyset
  16.
  17. Get !keys and save them as keys.dat. (Ctrl/CMD + S) Easy, right!? Of course, you could use your very own ones,
  18. that you dumped because SDSetup told you to. Let's face it: They're probably outdated and thus won't work.
  19.
  20. 3. GIVE NSP!!!
  21.
  22. 3.1. Windows
  23.
  24. I assume you are using the GUI version of 4NXCI. Because why wouldn't you!? If you knew how command line shit
  25. worked, you wouldn't be reading this, right?
  26.
  27. Just place the keys.dat file in the same folder as the 4nxci-GUI.exe.
  28.
  29. 1. Start GUI.
  30. 2. Select XCI and output folder. Keys should already be detected.
  31. 3. DON'T FUCK WITH THE CHECKBOXES, IF YOU DON'T EXACTLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING THERE!
  32. 4. Hit Convert.
  33.
  34. 3.2. MacOS and Linux - Command Line Legends
  35.
  36. Because nothing good happens to good people, Unix nerds don't get a proper GUI for now. You have to stick with your terminal.
  37.
  38. 1. Open Terminal
  39. 2. cd to your output folder.
  40. 3. drop 4NXCI binary here -k drop keys.dat here drop XCI here
  41.
  42. Example:
  43. /Users/fuckface/Documents/4nxci/4nxci -k /Users/fuckface/Documents/4nxci/keys.dat /Users/fuckface/Downloads/CompleteShit [v0].xci
  44.
  45. 4. Hit Enter.
  46.
  47. Linux people might have to add sudo, because sometimes Linux is weird that way.
  48. Add your stuff to your environment variables, if you want. I'm lazy af. Drag and Drop works.
  49.
  50. 3.3 We're good here.
  51.
  52. After quite some time (relative to how good your PC is) where a lot of extracting, patching and packing will be done,
  53. 4NXCI will literally tell you, that it's Done.
  54.
  55. By default your NSPs will be named titleid.nsp
  56.
  57. Example: 0100F2200C984000.nsp for Mortal Kombat 11
  58.
  59. 4. IZ NOT WORKING, TOPH HELP!!!
  60.
  61. 1. 4NXCI doesn't work. I just get NCA files!!!
  62.
  63. Congratulations, you are dumb and you have no idea how stupid you sound!
  64.
  65. Really, tho: The conversion process is a little more complex then changing the suffix from .xci to .nsp. Be patient.
  66. Stuff like that needs time, especially if you are on shitty hardware. Have faith. You'll get your NSP, as soon 4NXCI is Done.
  67.
  68. 2. Can I use CXCI (Custom XCI)?
  69.
  70. NO.
  71.
  72. Well, technically you can. Your conversion will at least lead to an installable base.
  73. Chances are, your Update and DLC content will be fucked and will lead to errors at game start, if you install them anyways.
  74.
  75. 3. I get an error about my keys not working or something.
  76.
  77. Again, your Keys are probably shitty and outdated. Just use !keys, ffs!
