  1. Jessalynnia had been staying in the home her Sire and Sir had made clear that was her safe home in the Shadowlands. Plus she had come to enjoy the peacefulness. But something else had been nagging at her, the dreams had been of her mother calling her but the voice was different, everything was odd. Lucius was out and about, she wasn't sure what her Sire did away from his place in the Shadowlands, but she had been learning shadows and powers to the best of her abilities. Even learning Sir Ryuk's lessons fast and as quickly as possible. Today was calm day. And she needed to know what the hell her mother wanted.
  2.
  3. Sitting down in her quarters of the Shadow Villa, she would draw the cirles, and designs while positioning the candles in perfect angles. Rubbing her ringed fingers together, she closed her eyes and concentrated, pulling on her necromancy and demonic gifts to pull forth her blood mother to speak to her. Her hair would blow around her when a cool wind was felt, opening her eyes at the sight of the mist hovering over the candles, finally dropping to the ground between them. Once it solidified, she would look up in shock, how could she mess up a simple summoning.
  4.
  5. "Aunt Jadalynn?" She would whisper softly, her Aunt in almost solid form bowed her head for a moment; her long fiery mane was braided and over her shoulder still reaching her waist. The violet eyes were soft, while her smile was welcoming to little Jessalynnia. "I don't understand. I summoned my blood mother."
  6.
  7. "Jessalynnia, breathe, la petit. I know you are confused." Aunt Jade would whisper, she always had been able to calm the children; and Nia had missed that so much. Sitting upright, Nia breathed deeply, before her eyes would refocus. "I think it's time I told you the actual truth."
  8.
  9. "Anytime now Aunt Jadalynn." The young Giovanni hybrid would try to keep her voice respectful to her dead elder, but it was slightly harder than she expected.
  10.
  11. "Then I want you to listen all the way, no interupptions Jessalynnia." The girl nodded to her Aunt before the woman would continue, her hand folded in front of her as she began to speak once more. "As you know I was married to your Uncle Gabriel, for the Dubrinskys wanted another foothole into the Orleans territory. I wish my mother hadn't agreed to it but I followed my mother's law as my children were to follow mine when I became Regent. I had Jacoby, Gregori wanting a strong man to rule the coven, which you know the Orleans law, female first in line of the matriarchal laws and rules. Then I was expecting twin girls, you can imagine my happiness of not just one girl but two. We had then, and supposedly only one survived according to the Doctors and Gabriel. I was heart broken, about the same time your mother Katja 'adopted' an infant daughter." Nia was shaking as she was already piecing it together in her head.
  12.
  13. "No, can't be true. Why? Why would Uncle Gabriel do that? Why the fuck would YOU allow that?" Throw out all the respect and protocols to the Elders, Jessalynnia was upset at this development. "How can you prove it?"
  14.
  15. "You agreed to let me finish Jessalynnia. Now let me." Her Aunt scolded her softly, as Nia bowed her head apologetically. "Gabriel wanted to be able to control the idea of making Jacoby better in everything so I would pass the mantle to him instead of his sister. Gabriel was cruel to little Jesliskyya, but she adored her Pere. Finally when she turned ten, you and your Mother came to the Quarter for birthday celebrations. You and Jesliskyya are identical, no denying it, even Katja questioned where Gabriel found the newborn he gave her. I knew then what Gabriel had done, and the fight was fierce. To the point Katja took my kids deep to the bayous for vacation, cause she knew what was going to happen. I confront Gabriel," Jadalynn projecting the memory which was full and clearly not altered.

  20. It was obviously Aunt Jadalynn's home, and the two adults were in a heated argument, Uncle Gabriel was just like her Father, Gregori, tall, dark hair and eyes with high cheek bones of the Romanian blood. But her aunt was the spitfire and the last one anybody should piss off. Her demanding answers from Gabriel.
  21.
  22. "You said she died? You gave her to your brother?! Why Gabriel Lucian Dubrinsky, why?!"
  23.
  24. "Orleans didn't deserve the co regency of twin girls. Better off you thought the child died, at least one of them would learn her proper place. Beneath the men." Gabriel snarled... at that it would become a magical battle, one that Jadalynn won in the end, and her husband died. Gregori would retrieved the body, but made it clear, Jessalynnia was HIS and Jadalynn was no longer welcome in Le Rouge. Under penalty of death should she or her children break his law.....

  29. Jessalynnia was reeling back at the memory, on her hands pressed over her belly. No wonder she was forbidden to have contact with her cousin Jessalynnia. Knowing her own father, Gregori would have never divulged that history to her brothers Mischa and Darian. Looking up at her Aunt, voilet eyes almost pleading for it not to be true.
  30.
  31. "You are my daughter. Think about it, can cousins seriously look that close?" Jadalynn would smile softly, Jessalynnia would shake her head in agreement, feeling her Aunt's hand touch the top of her head. "Your real siblings will need you, Dubrinskys need to return to the Carpathian Mountains and leave my Home alone. Are you willing to embrace your true heritage, Jessalynnia?'
  32.
  33. Nia would take a deep breath, everything was piecing together, even memories unlocking that she had shoved so deep so she wouldn't remember them. She truly was a Malinna, and not a damn Dubrinsky. Finally, she would raise her head. "Yes, Mother, I am ready." She whispered the formailty, Jadalynn smiling at finally being reunited with her daughter she had lost soo long ago.
  34.
  35. "I consecrate Jessalynnia Meharet Malinna to my family and coven," Jadalynn whisper, energy exploding out of the circle. The wind would encircle Jessalynnia giving her all the power and gifts that came with the Malinna bloodline, everything she could learn of course. Her mother would never forsake her over the kindred side of her. Once the energy was pushed into Nia, the girl would fall over passed out, everything extinguishing. Only thing was the smoke wafting up from the now unlit candles. ..... Jessalynnia would have alot to explain to her Sir and Sire when he would find her out cold infront of a summoning circle several hours later.....
