  1. Mahiru and Judy eat lunch
  2.
  3. At the head of the class room the teacher stood with a tall, beautiful blonde girl. In one hand she held the regulation school bag, but the other had a strange round case that she was noticeably careful with.
  4.
  5. "Class, I'd please welcome a new transfer student to our school."
  6.
  7. The girl tried to write her name in ateji, then hiragana, then gave up and just wrote it in english.
  8.
  9. "'Ello mates, I'm Judy Knightley. Thanks for 'avin me in your school."
  10.
  11. "Knightley-san is a transfer student from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in England. She's new to the country and doesn't speak much Japanese, so please help her when you can. Tsuyuzaki-san, you're on day duty so please take care of Knightley-san today."
  12.
  13. "Y-yes ma'am!"
  14.
  15. Mahiru sat up and smiled nervously at the new student. Judy regarded her with a cool stare and smirk, then took the seat next to her.
  16.
  17. "I'll be in your care today gov'" Judy said, offering her hand to shake. Mahiru was taken aback, aware of the entire class watching her. She slowly extended her hand and grasped Judy's. It was cold and moist.
  18.
  19. After Judy sat down and took her books out, Mahiru quietly wiped it off with a handkerchief. There was a strange smell left over.
  20.
  21. ~~~
  22.
  23. "What did you bring for lunch Knightley-san?"
  24.
  25. Judy, Karen, and Mahiru were sitting at a table in the gardens of the school, the natives eagerly waiting to see what kind of lunch the foreigner had brought. Judy set down a large lunchbox along with some cutlery and a thermos. Then she reached into her bag and pulled out another lunchbox of the same size. Then another one.
  26.
  27. Then finally a small bag of sweets.
  28.
  29. "Wow Knightley-san, that's a lot!"
  30.
  31. "You gotta eat a lot to train a lot... and come on mate, call me Judy! You too Mahiru!"
  32.
  33. Even when talking to Karen, Judy's eyes rarely left Mahiru. Something about her down-to-earth demeanour, kindness, and way of speaking reminded her of the perennial whipping boys of her home isles, the Irish. She suspected the girl knew her way around a potato, and her imperial english insticts were kicking in.
  34.
  35. "Oh, almost forgot!"
  36.
  37. Judy opened the round case she was so careful with all morning. It contained a fine, stylish marching band hat. She placed it daintily on her head and smiled at Mahiru. Mahiru blushed, the english girl obviously knowing how to strike an attractive figure. It almost offset how offputting Mahiru found the girl. Almost.
  38.
  39. She opened her lunch boxes to let the japanese girls see her lunch in all its glory. The first contained kippers, jellied eels, potted shrimp, and a small fish pie. All things she chose to show her country's dominance of sea cuisine over the natives of the island nation she was now visiting. The second and third contained all manner of pies, puddings, and sausages, as well as a heaping pile of peas and roast veggies. In between bites she sipped the superior english tea from her thermos.
  40.
  41. She considered letting Karen and Mahiru try some of her lunch, but the rumbling of her stomach and the look of amazement and fear on their faces respectively convinced her otherwise. Mahiru tried to ignore the awful sounds coming from Judy as she devoured her food while eating her own modest lunch from the school cafeteria without success. She only ate half before the sounds made her feel ill. Karen had no such trouble, polishing off her curry and watching Judy with great curiosity.
  42.
  43. Crumbs, gravy, and fish bones littered the table around the english student as well as the front of her uniform. Oblivious to the mess around her, she daintily dabbed her mouth when she finished eating before giving Mahiru a wink.
  44.
  45. "'Ay Mahiru, where's the loo?"
  46.
  47. Karen stood up. "I'll show you to the bathroom!"
  48.
  49. "If you take me to the bathroom then who's gonna eat all these sweets?" Judy said with a sly smile, pushing the bag of english treats towards Karen.
  50.
  51. "W-well I guess I could try some... thanks Judy-chan!"
  52.
  53. Mahiru gulped. The last barrier between her and the english student was successfully taken care of. She stood up and motioned for Judy to follow her, her face burning red.
  54.
  55. As soon as they were in the hallway, Judy pushed Mahiru against the wall.
  56.
  57. "H-hey!" Mahiru yelped. The english girl grabbed her hands and pinned them behind her back.
  58.
  59. "I didn't really want the loo, love. I just wanted a little privacy with you~"
  60.
  61. Judy's face was close. The disgusting scent of all the food she had just eaten wafted over Mahiru's face, almost making her retch. She opened her mouth and leaned in for a kiss. There was gravy and pieces of peas in the corner of her mouth, and bits of blood sausage stuck in her teeth. She pressed her lips against Mahiru's, her tongue swirling around her mouth for a few moments before she released the girl.
  62.
  63. Mahiru started coughing, spitting out chunks of roasted vegetables and pastry. It felt like the english girl hadn't even swallowed half her meal, although she seemed oblivious to the fact. The front of Mahiru's uniform now mirrored the mess that had stuck to Judy's.
  64.
  65. She looked up at her attacker. Judy was standing with one hand on her hips, the other picking her teeth with a fish bone. Despite her uniform, face, and general demeanour being disgusting, her hat was immaculate. Mahiru felt her knees go weak at the sight of that perfect headpiece.
  66.
  67. "So love, how's about you join me in the loo for a round?"
  68.
  69. Mahiru blushed and looked down.
  70.
  71. "I-I'll show you where it is."
