  11. Trainer Teleport Glitch
  12. The method for obtaining Mew requires the use of this glitch, which enables you to teleport (as well as escape rope/dig/fly) away from a trainer whose vision for seeing you is one tile away from being offscreen. This loads a battle in the area you're in. However, since you teleport away, the game enters a confused state where you are unable to access the menu unless you fight a trainer. The trainer you battle MUST walk at least one tile towards you. When you return to the area where you escaped the battle, a pokemon loads based off the special stat of the last pokemon you battled. This happens because you initiated a battle there yet never completed it. Thus, the game needs to substitute in something to load a battle when you return.

  15. For the sake of this run, teleport is the method of choice for escaping from the first trainer that is just to the left of Nugget Bridge because Abra is readily available right after beating Misty. The second trainer battled is a Youngster that has a Slowpoke. Unlike my video below, simply walk down-left towards Nugget Bridge. The menu will automatically appear. Press B to begin the battle with Mew.
