Sara believes that she is a member of an elite clan of ninja, and that the Asylum is one of their facilities, as much a training ground as a living space. She was brought there shortly after a major psychotic break, where the man she loved not only broke up with her, but revealed his faithlessness. It was found during the criminal proceedings that she was unfit to stand trial, and so she was handed over to the asylum, where she has been settling in quite well.
