  1. (Hello hello! New POV starting this chapter. No smut in this actually, just a lot of plot and some fierce arguing at the end. Hope you all enjoy!)
  2.
  3. Chapter 24
  4.
  5. Jack found himself running through the forest around his property, or at least it looked like it. Nebby, the multi-colored Pokemon was beside him and panicking, floating along with him trying to keep up. Suddenly he tripped over something he couldn’t see. He heard loud cracks and booms as trees were broken in two and fell in the distance, getting closer and closer with every crack of wood. For the life of him he couldn’t remember what he was running from, but something told him the situation was dire. He got back up and started running some more until he cleared the woods and got to a sandy beach. He rested for a moment, catching his breath and looking for anyway to hide. He saw dark shapes along the coastline, figuring them probably to be rocks along. “C’mon Nebby.” He said lowly as Nebby seemed to be quite tired as well. He decided to pick up the multi-colored Pokemon and began jogging across the soft sand, realizing it was much harder than he’d realized. Suddenly the crackling of wood and booms of falling trees ceased and Jack turned back to the forest, seeing a bright light gathering energy. Jack was out of breath and his legs ached. And then the bright light shot a beam of brightly colored energy directly at Jack and Nebby-
  6.
  7. Jack awoke with a fright and out of breath. He realized he was in Bianca’s bed and she was resting peacefully beside, snoring slightly. He shook his head and wiped the sleep from his eyes. “What the fuck was that?” He wondered silently.
  8.
  9. His stomach felt pretty upset from the profuse drinking he’d done the night before, but he didn’t need to throw up. His head ached slightly, and he had a severe need to pee. He got out of bed and found his swimsuit he’d brought and hadn’t used for any swimming, then went to the hallway as quietly as he could.
  10.
  11. It was still dark outside, and Jack checked his phone, seeing it was just after 5:00 in the morning. He found one of the bathrooms, but it was locked. “Hopefully Sina’s still not in there.” He muttered, and decided he’d just go outside and pee in the sand. He opened the sliding glass door to the deck, seeing the beer pong table with cups lying about, having been blown around by the wind. He took the two steps from the deck to the sand and heard a male voice.
  12.
  13. “Jack? What are you doing up this early?” Kukui asked.
  14.
  15. “Just trying to take a piss.” He smiled. “The hell are you doing up this early?’
  16.
  17. “Couldn’t sleep, figured I’d watch the sunrise.” Kukui explained.
  18.
  19. “I had this crazy dream.” Jack said. “I was running through the woods outside my property with Nebby and something was chasing us, destroying trees and what not... I got to a beach then it fired some beam at me and I woke up.”
  20.
  21. “You’re that worried about this Necrozma stuff, aren’t you?” Kukui asked.
  22.
  23. Jack nodded. “Yeah... It’s pretty freaky, the way Sabrina and Lusamine are deathly serious about some cataclysm. I think it’s just now starting to hit me how serious things could be.”
  24.
  25. “Yeah...” Kukui said. “For arriving here a few months ago, you’re awfully worked up about the safety of the islands.”
  26.
  27. “Well Alola’s my home now, it’s such an incredible place.” Jack explained. “Plus, I don’t think I mentioned this, but May and Lillie are pregnant, so I’ll have a family to look out for. Can’t have some apocalyptic thing happen if I can prevent it, y’know?’
  28.
  29. “Yeah, makes sense...” Kukui put his hand up to his chin and pondered on things for a few moments. “Hey, go take your piss, I’ve got something I should give you.”
  30.
  31. Jack remembered about his very uncomfortable bladder and went dozen yards from the house and pissed for well over a minute and half straight. He give his dick a couple shakes and walked back to the deck, Kukui emerging at the same time.
  32.
  33. “So I can’t believe I just remembered this, but better late than never.” Kukui said, holding some sort crystalline object in his hand with a beaded necklace attached to it. He extended his hand, and Jack grasped it, taking a closer look at it.
  34.
  35. It looked like a Z-Crystal and it had a yellow coloring and a black tiki design in its center. “I’ve never seen a Z-Crystal like this before.” Jack said.
  36.
  37. “Same.” Kukui said. “I’m not sure what Pokemon uses it, I’ve tried a few dozen, but nothing matches up with it.”
  38.
  39. “Where’d you get it? And why should I have it?” Jack asked.
  40.
  41. “Well, I’m not sure if you know this, but this lab-” Kukui pointed to his beach house. “Was the direct result of a grant from your father.”
  42.
  43. “Oh... I didn’t know that.”
  44.
  45. “You didn’t seem comfortable talking about your dad very much when we first met so I didn’t bring it up.” Kukui said. “I only met him a few times, but the last time was about five years ago. He was starting to have health issues and probably wouldn’t be back in Alola, so he told me to look after this. He didn’t want his estate managers getting a hold of it, and he didn’t know if you’d be ready to handle it.”
  46.
  47. “So you’re giving it to me now?”
  48.
  49. “You definitely have your fun, but you do deeply care about Alola. Maybe you’ll be able to get it researched on the side with that other Z-Crystal thing you’re seeing Burnett about.” Kukui.replied.
  50.
  51. “Good idea.” Jack said, examining it as best he could in the developing twilight.
  52.
  53. The two took a seat and shot the shit about the night, trying to piece together what happened after Jack, Clair, and Lorelei went into Bianca’s room, watching the sunrise from the east as the sea and skies began to light up.
  54.
  55. ***
  56.
  57. The Hau’Oli airport was a bustle of activity at the early hour of 7:00 AM. People and their luggage hustled about as the loudspeaker droned on about safety precautions. Three women stood next to each other, awaiting the carousel to spit out the last of their luggage.
  58.
  59. The first woman, tall with a red top and a lab coat, along with strawberry-blonde hair that reached her waist had her arms folded and a frown on her face. “Nessa, did you really need three suitcases? You could’ve just put most of this with the shipment of your furniture and your other crap.”
  60.
  61. The dark skinned beauty in a designer beige dress with long black hair and blue streaks grimaced. “Ms. Oleana, I didn’t want anything to get lost. And that stuff won’t be here for another week.”
  62.
  63. Oleana groaned. “I’ve got a lot to do today and you waiting on your third suitcase is trying my patience.” Oleana paused for a moment, awaiting a rebuttal, but none came. “After everything Cobal Industries has done for you, and the incredible opportunity you have before you, this is how you’re going to start off your first day in Alola?”
  64.
  65. Nessa sighed and looked at the floor, defeated. Oleana smirked, unable to prevent herself from enjoying her small victory. Nessa had been a top model in Galar, then signed up as the public face for Cobal Industires. Unfortunately for Nessa, she had recently been found with illicit drugs on her person in Cobal Industries’ corporate headquarters. Instead of a very public fall from grace or a long prison sentence, Oleana offered the stunning, elegant, beauty an alternative: become the bodyguard for the young Mr. Cobal, seduce him, and eventually marry him. The coincidental timing of it all happening hadn’t risen suspicion to anyone. After all, Oleana had the drugs planted on Nessa. It was just a standard power play to Oleana. She needed to fix Arthur Cobal’s brat, and to do that she’d need to be able to control the young man’s future wife.
  66.
  67. “Is that it?” The third woman pointed out. Her voice was bubbly, and she wore dark tights, a small yellow skirt, and an azure and white shirt. Her brown hair was divided into two large buns with strands hanging down her back, and she wore a visor to keep everything in place.
  68.
  69. Nessa looked up and nodded with relief. “Yes, thank you Rosa.”
  70.
  71. “No problem.” Rosa replied.
  72.
  73. “Finally.” Oleana grunted, watching Nessa grab her bag from the conveyor belt and try to stack it on top of one of her rolling suitcases. Rosa took care of Nessa’s other suitcase, putting her own bag on top of it. Oleana then took hold of her own rolling suitcase and beelined for the the gorup of taxi drivers holding signs, finding the sign that read “Oleana Cosmos,” and stopped directly in front of the man. “Thank you for being on time, I’d like to apologize for my subordinate’s delay with her luggage.”
  74.
  75. “No problem at all Ma’am. May I help with anything?” He said, eyeing the stacked luggage Rosa and Nessa were struggling to balance while trying to keep up with Oleana’s pace.
  76.
  77. “Yes.” Oleana said, releasing her talon-like grip from her suitcase and stepping aside. The driver changed his focus and took her suitcase and led the three women to his van, waiting just outside the terminal doors.
  78.
  79. On the ride to the Cobal property, Oleana didn’t say word. She took occasional glances out of the window for some especially scenic views, but she needed to be on point. She’d gotten little sleep on the long flight from Unova and she had to be ready crack some skulls. Every time she thought about the many ways Mr. Cobal’s bastard son dishonored his father’s legacy she wanted to scream. Arthur had been such an incredible man, and it had only taken a few months for his unworthy son to turn Arthur’s favorite place in the world into a bimbo-filled whorehouse. “I’ll certainly need to breath through my mouth around some of the truly fat cows he has.” She thought to herself.
  80.
  81. Occasionally Rosa’s perky voice would break the silence, ooohing and aaahing at views outside of her window, but Nessa hardly responded to Rosa’s attempts to instigate conversation.
  82.
  83. The van driver then pulled up to the gate and Oleana took a remote control out of her purse.
  84.
  85. “Ohmigosh, I didn’t think it was this big!” Rosa exclaimed as the van pulled its way into the vast property. After a few hundred feet the various buildings on the compound came up. “And is that a pool? Awesome!” Rosa said, poking Nessa in the side. Nessa took a quick glance and shrugged.
  86.
  87. “Now girls, I don’t know what exactly to expect when we walk in there, so be ready for anything.” Oleana explained. “Hilda doesn’t know we’re coming.”
  88.
  89. “Oooh, surprise inspection.” Rosa said. “It’ll be good to see Hilda, it feels like forever.”
  90.
  91. “Well don’t get used to her bering around, that’s why you’re here after all, Rosa.” Oleana grunted. The van pulled up to the carport and came to a stop. Oleana swiped her expense card on the cab’s card reader and stepped out. She made her way to the entrance and whipped out her keys, finding the proper one and went to unlock it, but was surprised to find it unlocked already. “Great job, security team.” She mocked.
  92.
  93. She opened the door and looked to see if she’d been spotted. No one seemed to be in the entrance, and she didn’t hear much commotion so she stepped inside. She’d only been here once, back when she was Arthur Cobal’s assistant. It had been about five years since, and some of the place had been re-decorated, but it still had the same layout so she marched to the office quickly. She found the door shut but heard feminine moans inside and shook her head with disappointment.
  94.
  95. She swung open the door to a sight even she wasn’t ready for. Hilda was half naked in the office chair and touching herself, watching porn or something of that nature. “Hilda White what the hell is wrong with you?” Oleana demanded.
  96.
  97. Hilda gasped and turned her swivel chair to face Oleana. Hilda had gotten very portly and corpulent, her belly hung out shamelessly, her thighs had thickened like holiday hams, her chin had doubled, and her breasts sagged in the open air. “Ms. Oleana, I... I’m sorry, this is...” Hilda’s brain grasped for words but the shock had stunned her, she just sat there, panting.
  98.
  99. “I expected something bad, but nothing like this.” She said angrily. “That boy’s degeneracy must be contagious.”
  100.
  101. Hilda started to tear up. Oleana could tell in the girl’s eyes, she knew she was toast.
  102.
  103. “And what are you watching?” Oleana walked over slowly, authoritatively to the computer screen and seeing camera footage... of young Mr. Cobal and a couple of severely obese women in the hot tub having sex. “So this is why you couldn’t call tech support for the messed up webcam? You were too busy touching yourself all day?”
  104.
  105. Hilda stared at the ground, sobbing.
  106.
  107. “Well, it’s a good thing I booked you a ticket back to Unova then. I’ll text you your boarding pass. Consider this your dismissal. A taxi is awaiting you out front, pack up your crap in the next ten minutes and get off this island.” Oleana said, departing the room. She then went down the hall to the kitchen, and saw a sight she should’ve expected, but was not ready for.
  108.
  109. Two massive women sat at the kitchen table, the blonde woman had two chairs underneath her hefty rear and an absurdly tall stack of pancakes in front of her, drenched in syrup.
  110.
  111. “Uh, hi... Who the hell are you?” The brown skinned fatty with black hair asked.
  112.
  113. “I’m Oleana, I work for Cobal Industries.” She said, trying to hide her revulsion. “And you are?”
  114.
  115. “I’m Zinnia, one of Mr. Cobal’s bodyguards.” Zinnia said. “Hilda didn’t mention anything about people coming over today.”
  116.
  117. “Yes, we surprised her.” Oleana said. The sight of the decadent food in front of the massive women finally wore out her patience and Oleana walked to the table and grabbed the plate in front of Zinnia and dumped it all on the floor.
  118.
  119. “Hey! What was that for?” Zinnia demanded.
  120.
  121. “Some changes are being made around here, ladies.” Oleana said calmly.
  122.
  123. “Lillie, go get Hilda, she’ll sort this out.” Zinnia said.
  124.
  125. “Lillie is it?” Oleana said to the absolutely titanic blonde young woman. “I’m afraid you can’t go get Hilda as she’s been dismissed from her duties.”
  126.
  127. “What!?” Zinnia shouted, rising out of her chair. “You’re fucking kidding me!”
  128.
  129. “No I’m not.” Oleana stated. “And please calm yourself, I only took your food away from you, you pig.” Oleana then looked around and realized someone very important was missing. “And where’s that degenerate playboy of yours anyways?”
  130.
  131. Zinnia steamed, but Lillie was the one to answer. “He’s uh... not here.” She spoke meekly.
  132.
  133. “Then get him here, now. There’s a new sheriff in town.” Oleana said, and walked back to the entrance hall to check on Nessa and Rosa. Once Rosa saw her, she waved.
  134.
  135. “Oleana, is everything alright?”
  136.
  137. “Not yet. I need to make a call.” Oleana said, marching her way out the front door. She grabbed her phone and browsed through her contact list, finding the name she was looking for, and called. It rang a few times before an out of breath female voice answered the phone.
  138.
  139. “Hey there Ms. Oleana.” The voice greeted.
  140.
  141. “Bea, it’s worse than I feared. I’m going to need your help to whip these fat bimbos into shape. How soon can you be on a flight to Alola?”
  142.
  143. “Uh... a couple days? I have to pack and I have to take care of some things...”
  144.
  145. “I’ll double your salary. I need you here tomorrow.”
  146.
  147. ***
  148.
  149. Jack was reading up on some articles, lounging on a chair on the sand enjoying the morning sun when he suddenly got a call from Zinnia.
  150.
  151. “Y’hello?” Jack said casually.
  152.
  153. “Jack, holy shit you need to get back here now.” Zinnia said. “Some bitch named Oleana from the corporation is here and she fired Hilda-”
  154.
  155. “She what?” Jack said, mood changing on a dime. “Slow down, did you just say she fired Hilda?”
  156.
  157. “Yes!” Zinnia sounded exasperated. “You need to get here now, her taxi’s about to leave apparently.”
  158.
  159. “What? She’s just leaving, just going back to Unova?”
  160.
  161. “Apparently.” Zinnia said. “It’s fucked here. Two other girls are with this bitch, you need to get here pronto.”
  162.
  163. “How soon is Hilda leaving?” Jack demanded.
  164.
  165. “She had her bag and went out the front door. Lillie is getting all of her stuff in boxes as we speak.” Zinnia said.
  166.
  167. “She’s going to the airport?” Jack asked, in a panic.
  168.
  169. “Yeah.”
  170.
  171. “I’m gonna meet her there. Then I’ll be back at the house and we’ll sort this shit out.” Jack said angrily. He got his keys out and headed for the SUV. Hilda had warned about her boss, Oleana. The day of reckoning had finally come, Hilda had been right.
  172.
  173. “Hey boss, where ya goin’?” Misty called out, a couple donuts resting on her domed gut.
  174.
  175. “I’ll be back, stay here.” Jack commanded.
  176.
  177. He turned the SUV on and called Hilda, but she hung up immediately. He then texted her.
  178.
  179. Jack: I’m meeting you at the airport. Zinnia told me a little bit of what happened. You’re not leaving until I see you.
  180.
  181. Jack then put the car in drive and got onto the dirt path leading up to the road. He checked his phone periodically for any responses, but didn’t receive anything, just a “read” notification.
  182.
  183. Jack: What airline are you on? Please Hilda
  184.
  185. As Jack neared the airport, his stress levels increased. “I need to know where the fuck she’s going.” He muttered to himself. He got an idea and called Lillie.
  186.
  187. “Jack hi...” Lillie said, sounding quite dejected.
  188.
  189. “Lillie, have you met the two women who came with Oleana?” Jack asked.
  190.
  191. “No... I’m in Hilda’s room, packing things up.” Lillie said. “It’s so sad...”
  192.
  193. “Lillie, I need your help. Find one of those women and ask them what airline they took in.” Jack ordered.
  194.
  195. “Uh... Okay. Ms. Oleana might get mad at me though...”
  196.
  197. “She’s not your boss, Lillie. I need you to do this for me.” Jack ordered, anger rising.
  198.
  199. “Okay, okay.” Lillie said, and Jack hung up the phone.
  200.
  201. He parked in a parking lot just outside the airport entrance and waited. It took four minutes, but Lillie finally texted him.
  202.
  203. Lillie: She’s flight 2816 on Alola Airlines.
  204.
  205. Jack: Thanks.
  206.
  207. Lillie: This Rosa girl is really nice actually. Not at all like Oleana.
  208.
  209. Jack shook his head at Lillie’s second text and pulled out of the parking lot.
  210.
  211. Jack pulled up to the terminal drop-off zone and parked in the lane closest to the airline entrance. He turned the car off and started running into the terminal.
  212.
  213. “Hey, you can’t park there!” A voice yelled at him.
  214.
  215. “Ticket me!” Jack yelled back and dashed inside. He looked around as best he could and couldn’t find Hilda. He went up the escalator to the baggage check and she was nowhere to be seen. “I probably beat her here.” Jack thought to himself and stood by the entrance to Alola Airlines check-in counter.
  216.
  217. About five minutes passed, and then Jack saw Hilda waddle into the terminal, head down. Jack walked over to her and then stood in front of her path and when she got a few feet away she looked up and gasped. “Jack, what are you-”
  218.
  219. He hugged her and kissed her. “It’s okay, I’m here. You’re not leaving.”
  220.
  221. “I have to.” Hilda said, a sob coming out.
  222.
  223. “I’ll get this sorted out with the board.” Jack said. “I’m the fucking owner anyways.”
  224.
  225. “If they sent her, they’re the ones approving what she’s doing.” Hilda said. “I’m sorry it has to be this way. I should’ve done better...” Hilda began to cry loudly.
  226.
  227. “No, it’s not your fault.” Jack said, trying to comfort her. “This is all me, and you can’t leave.”
  228.
  229. Hilda broke the embrace, tears streaming down her face. “Jack I... I think I have to tell you, I’m pregnant.”
  230.
  231. Jack’s jaw dropped. “Well then there’s no way you can leave!” He exclaimed. “You’re fucking staying with me and that’s final.”
  232.
  233. “If you defy the board they’ll come after your shares, your money. They could even take the property here in Alola. That’s how the trust is set up.” Hilda said.
  234.
  235. “Hilda, I’m not sending the mother of a child of mine away.” Jack said, deathly serious. “I’m still going to Akala tonight, right? You can come with me.”
  236.
  237. “It’s not that simple Jack, the legal stuff-”
  238.
  239. “Then what can we do? You have to at least stay in Alola.” Jack said, just now realizing he had tears in his eyes as well. “Please Hilda... I need you. And that baby growing inside you will need us.”
  240.
  241. Through the tears streaming down her face, Hilda managed a smile. “You’re right... Until things change, we can’t be seen together.” Hilda paused and nodded, approving the plan in her head. “They have people waiting for me in Castelia, they will have to receive me. But I’ll fly back ASAP, I can’t stay with you on Akala, but I can be nearby. You’re staying at the Hano Grand Resort, I’ll stay at the Tide Song Hotel. It’s on the other side of Heahea, but I’ll be close enough, and maybe I can help you out with Burnett behind the scenes.”
  242.
  243. Jack sighed deeply with relief and gave her a huge kiss. “Thank you Hilda... I’m sorry everything’s all fucked up. I’m gonna sort this out.”
  244.
  245. “It won’t be quick, not with Oleana.” Hilda warned.
  246.
  247. “The more I hear about her the more I believe you.” Jack said.
  248.
  249. “Just make sure Lillie gives them each a touch.” Hilda said. “I told Oleana you were going to Akala for a bit, and I think she’s gonna make you bring the two new girls with you instead of your regular staff.”
  250.
  251. Jack nodded. “Do they know anything about the... the special Z-Crystal thing?” Jack asked.
  252.
  253. Hilda shook her head. “No, I just left a memo that you were checking up on some donations your father made to the museum.”
  254.
  255. “Okay...” Jack said, trying to compress all the information in his mind. “I’m going to miss you so much Hilda.”
  256.
  257. Hilda smiled again, tears still streaming down her face. “And I’ll miss you too... my love.” They kissed deeply, holding it for as long as they could, and they spent another minute looking into each other’s eyes, trying to deny their problems their due a little longer.
  258.
  259. “You have to get back home.” Hilda said. “Oleana will find out you talked to me and she’ll come after me.”
  260.
  261. “Okay... I’ll re-imburse you for everything you need.”
  262.
  263. “Yeah I figured.” Hilda said, wiping away a tear. “I’ve got a flight to book, then.”
  264.
  265. They kissed one more time, knowing it would be a while before they saw each other again. “I have your number, I’ll get a new phone and text you from it.” Hilda said. “Company phone is about to get shut off.”
  266.
  267. “Makes sense...”
  268.
  269. “You need to leave.” Hilda said.
  270.
  271. Jack nodded his head, defeated, but he smiled. “We’ll see each other again, I promise.”
  272.
  273. “Deal.” Hilda said, another tear streaming down her face. “But seriously, you need to go.”
  274.
  275. “Okay.” He said, forcing himself to turn around. When he got back to his SUV, two cops were standing next to it, and there were two tickets on the windshield.
  276.
  277. “Hey fellas, sorry for the inconvenience.” Jack said.
  278.
  279. “Oh lookie here, he’s back.” One of the cops said. “You almost got this thing towed.”
  280.
  281. “Yeah, my bad. Something really important I had to do...” Jack said, hopping back in the car.
  282.
  283. Jack felt extremely drained. Everything playing through his head made the drive back to Kukui’s feel short. Misty awaited him with the empty coolers, and he said goodbye to Juniper and Bianca as they were packing their things as well.
  284.
  285. “Wait, are you guys going to Castelia? Which flight number?” Jack asked.
  286.
  287. “Uh... 2816 I think?” Juniper said.
  288.
  289. Jack chuckled. “You’ll recognize someone on that flight then... And when does it leave?”
  290.
  291. “Not for another three hours.” Juniper said.
  292.
  293. Jack went to go text Hilda, but realized he shouldn’t, and shook his head. “Well, next time I’m in Unova I’ll have to come say hi.”
  294.
  295. “Yes you will.” Bianca replied and gave him a big hug. “Kiss for the road?”
  296.
  297. Jack obliged, and it turned into a make out session.
  298.
  299. “Sorry, kinda needed that. I hate plane flights.” Bianca said. “Anytime I’m in Alola I’ll know who to call!” Bianca said.
  300.
  301. “Yes you will.” Jack said.
  302.
  303. A few minutes later he was driving with Misty in the front seat, eyes shut and trying to sleep. So much weighed on his mind that he didn’t realize there was a very odd, yellow figure levitating above the road until he was a few dozen feet from it, and he slammed on the brakes.
  304.
  305. “Hey what the-” Misty demanded, but she eyed the figure as well. “The hell is that?”
  306.
  307. Jack gazed at the figure a little longer, and the yellow things on its body parted, revealing a black torso with orange hair and an orange skirt-like thing. “Is that... Tapu Koko?” Jack asked.
  308.
  309. “Uh, Jack...” Misty said.
  310.
  311. “Yeah that’s Tapu Koko.” Jack said.
  312.
  313. “Jack... dude... your chest is glowing.” Misty said.
  314.
  315. “Wha-?” Jack looked down and noticed the weird Z-Crystal on the beaded necklace that Kukui had given him was glowing bright yellow.
  316.
  317. Jack looked back up and saw Tapu Koko levitating slowly at the car. He‘d heard the stories of the Island Guardians causing havoc and attacking things. This was the absolute last thing he wanted to deal with on this ridiculous day. He felt his heart pounding in his chest. “Misty, this might be something it wants.” Jack said, trying to warn his bodyguard. Misty readied a Poke Ball dutifully.
  318.
  319. Jack got a crazy idea and opened the car door. “Jack, what the fuck are you-”
  320.
  321. Jack put a finger up to quiet her, then he took the necklace with the glowing Z-Crystal off and held it out to Tapu Koko. The Island Guardian stopped suddenly and banged its yellow shields together, then revealed its face again. In that moment, it was like the Tapu Koko was making eye contact with him, or at least, acknowledging him. Then Tapu Koko gave out a savage cry and flew into the trees surrounding the road. As Tapu Koko departed, Jack noticed the Z-Crystal beginning to dull. “Gonna have to mention this to Kukui.” Jack thought.
  322.
  323. “What was that about? You could’ve been killed! And I would’ve been blamed for it!” Misty barked.
  324.
  325. “Yeah yeah, it’s weird.” Jack said.
  326.
  327. “And when did you get that thing anyways?” Misty asked.
  328.
  329. “Kukui gave it to me. Said my dad gave it to him a while back, said I should have it.” Jack explained.
  330.
  331. “Oh... Can this day get any weirder?” Misty asked.
  332.
  333. “You jinxed us, thanks.” Jack said bitterly, thinking ahead to how he’d have to handle this Oleana woman.
  334.
  335. It took only a few minutes to get to the front gate. He took a deep breath and pressed the button on the remote, opening the gate. He cruised in slowly, and as he pulled up to the carport, he saw Oleana waiting outside the front door, arms crossed. “Well here we go.” He said to no one in particular and turned the car off.
  336.
  337. Jack grabbed a cooler from the trunk before acknowledging Oleana. When he finally did look, two women had appeared behind her.
  338.
  339. “So you must be Oleana.” Jack said, trying to sound neutral.
  340.
  341. “Yes.” She replied.
  342.
  343. “I’m surprised I didn’t meet you when I was in Castelia.” Jack said.
  344.
  345. “I was busy with other matters.” Oleana replied.
  346.
  347. Jack nodded. “So you sent Hilda away?”
  348.
  349. Oleana nodded. “No, not sent away, fired. She failed incredibly at managing you.”
  350.
  351. “I disagree.” Jack said.
  352.
  353. “You’re allowed to disagree.” Oleana said sternly.
  354.
  355. “So what’s happening here, you’re not going to allow me into my house?” Jack asked.
  356.
  357. “Oh not at all.” Oleana stepped aside. “But allow me to introduce you to the two women behind me.”
  358.
  359. “Hilda’s replacements?” Jack asked, indicating a sore spot.
  360.
  361. “No, just additional staff.” Oleana said. Oleana turned and signaled one woman to come forward. “This is Rosa Shiroi, she’ll helping me with clerical work around here.”
  362.
  363. “Pleasure to meet you, sir.” Rosa said, grinning ear to ear and offering him a hand to shake. He did.
  364.
  365. “Same.” He said, not bothering to cover his disdain.
  366.
  367. Rosa’s grin dissipated for a moment before she recovered composure.
  368.
  369. “And this is Nessa Rurina.” Oleana said. “Former model, and spokeswoman of Cobal Industries.”
  370.
  371. Nessa’s attire caught his eye, wearing short shorts and a skimpy top, revealing a lot of skin. Jack then realized he recognized her from some of the pictures of Cobal Industries press conferences he’d looked up during his time in Alola. “Honored to finally meet you, sir.” Nessa said.
  372.
  373. “Thanks for your services to the company.” He said soullessly, shaking her hand.
  374.
  375. “Well now that that’s out of the way, shall we?” Oleana said, indicating the door.
  376.
  377. Jack turned to Misty, who seemed a little peeved she’d been completely looked over, and he shrugged at her, she rolled her eyes.
  378.
  379. Once the group was inside, Jack saw no one around. Oleana then began to speak. “Jack, would you mind if you and I spoke in private?” Oleana asked.
  380.
  381. “Fine.” He said, and she led him to the deck. On his way, he pulled out his phone slightly and set it to record a voice memo. The two didn’t say a word to each other until they were outside. He just had to maintain composure with the bitch.
  382.
  383. “Where’s the rest of the staff?” Jack said calmly.
  384.
  385. “In the basement. Working out, actually. I’m sure they haven’t done that for a while.” Oleana said. “Were you going to be bringing them with you to Akala?”
  386.
  387. “Yes, my bodyguards.” Jack said. “Maybe the fly the rest of the staff over for a little vacation. if I’m out a while.”
  388.
  389. Oleana grimaced. “You’ll be taking Nessa and Rosa with you instead.”
  390.
  391. “You’re not my boss.” Jack said.
  392.
  393. “Your father set up the trust so you wouldn’t have full autonomy. I have mountains of evidence you are performing conduct detrimental to the company, and I have been here less than an hour.”
  394.
  395. Jack realized she was referring to the camera footage. “What I do in the privacy of my own home with consenting adults-”
  396.
  397. “You rubbing Ms. Berlitz’s face in her own piss would be a problem if it got out.” Oleana said. “Your degeneracy is actually impressive, boy.”
  398.
  399. Jack took the slight in stride. He needed to keep his cool. “I did go a bit overboard there.”
  400.
  401. “This place has been run with the morals of a brothel. I will be re-training your staff, since I expect you will want to keep the pigs in your barn.”
  402.
  403. “Do NOT-”
  404.
  405. “I will call them what they are.” Oleana said. “Your father would be disappointed in you.”
  406.
  407. “My father abandoned the one son he knows about, his whole life is a disappointment in my eyes.”
  408.
  409. That got under Oleana’s skin. Her eyes widened and she gritted her teeth. “You should consider yourself the luckiest person alive, inheriting the work of one of the most incredible men who has ever walked this planet. Don’t you DARE call him a disappointment!” Oleana roared.
  410.
  411. Jack took a deep breath and made eye contact with Oleana. “Then do not insult the women I love.”
  412.
  413. Oleana’s gaze narrowed, then she took a breath. “Fine. And is it true two of them are pregnant?”
  414.
  415. “Yes.” Jack said.
  416.
  417. Oleana grimaced. “Are you sure they’re yours?”
  418.
  419. Jack coughed, stunned by Oleana’s audacity. “What the fuck did I just say?”
  420.
  421. “I’m just asking a question, no need to get upset.” Oleana said, clearly taking joy in the situation. “Any other lovechilds the company needs to know about? Or at least, that you know of?”
  422.
  423. “One.” Jack said, he hadn’t gotten confirmation on Lusamine. Although it’d be a card he could play at a later point.
  424.
  425. “And who is the lucky lady?” Oleana lied.
  426.
  427. “Hilda, actually.” Jack replied.
  428.
  429. This time Oleana coughed, losing her composure and raising her eyebrows. “Well, a possible option could be abortion-”
  430.
  431. “Did you seriously just say that? Are you out of your mind?” He asked, trying to maintain composure. If he wasn’t recording the conversation he probably would’ve thrown punches, dooming him even more.
  432.
  433. Oleana laughed. “You’re the raging degenerate here, boy. I’m curious what else I’ll find going through the footage of your debauchery. I wouldn’t be surprised if I caught you fucking a Snorlax-”
  434.
  435. Jack turned away and opened the sliding glass door.
  436.
  437. “Yes, walk away like the little boy that you are!” Oleana screamed. “Mommy’s in town, and she’s going to-” Jack slammed the sliding door shut and blocked her out. Jack went straight for the office, finding the computer tower and throwing it through the window. Glass shattered everywhere, and Jack went to his room in a rage, finding the suitcase Hilda had made for him the previous day beside his bed, grabbed it, and went to his SUV.
  438.
  439. He whipped out his phone while he waited for the gate to open and sent Lillie a text.
  440.
  441. Jack: You need to touch the three women today, do whatever you can. That’s an order.
  442.
  443. And with that, Jack sped onto the road.
