- Hello fellow trainer!
- I am writing to you to propose a new project for the Smogon Doubles Chat community. The idea is to scout, evaluate and report on the teams being used on the Doubles ladder. The scope of the project is to better understand the meta, the overall variety of the teams being used, where they originated, as well as the variation of individual pokemon and strategies. I think this could be a beneficial endeavour for the community as it would:
- - Broaden the communities understanding of the meta
- - Give an understanding of the "health" of the tier; the ratio of "bad" teams to good
- - Highlight areas in which the tier could need help in, such as identifying if gimmicks are being used at an unhealthy amount
- - Identify trends in the battling community
- The idea had a decent reception within the Doubles room on Showdown, with users such as Pinoy Pwnage and Circletine willing to help in the effort.
