  1. Got curious about Mario Kart speedruns after watching AeonFrodo do some Mario Kart 8 32 Tracks runs, so I checked out the speedrun.com page for the Mario Kart series. Eventually I stumbled upon the Super Circuit page, because I like that game, and I found out something kinda interesting. There's a technique used in some runs called Zig Zag Mini Turbos. It's a way to get mini turbos more easily, but it requires you modifying your GBA's D-Pad so it can move around easier. However doing so speeds up the game by upwards of 4 minutes if done right (I'm assuming at least because that's how much of a difference it is between 1st with ZZMT and 1st without ZZMT. It's probably more time.) and allows for some skips to be much easier on some tracks because of it. This simple hardware mod does so much for the game potentially and it made me curious about running the game, whereas I wasn't before. I'm also curious if that would help with some other GBA games too. If anyone can think of any GBA games that need a lot of wobbling back and forth quickly to go faster, let me know I guess.

  3. This guy has a shit ton of videos of ILs of Super Circuit with and without ZZMTs. It's kinda cool to watch what can be done with it: https://www.youtube.com/user/superchraiZy/videos
