  1. Mythical Pokemon are Pokemon exclusive to events, and the bane of every person after a Living Dex
  2.
  3. This Index is a means to make it easier
  4.
  5. If you wanted a completed Living Dex as of Gen VI, you would need at minimum, 15 mythicals. Thankfully, one is now even catchable in game
  6.
  7. 15 isn't too bad, but what about if you wanted a completed PC Stable Living Form Dex?
  8.
  9. You would then need:
  10.
  11. 1 Mew
  12. 1 Celebi
  13. 1 Jirachi
  14. 4 Deoxys
  15. 1 Manaphy
  16. 1 Darkrai
  17. 1 Shaymin
  18. 18 Arceus
  19. 1 Victini
  20. 2 Keldeo
  21. 1 Meloetta
  22. 5 Genesect
  23. 1 Diancie
  24. 1 Hoopa
  25. 1 Volcanion
  26.
  27. 40 Mythicals total
  28.
  29. If you wanted a complete, PC Unstable Living Form Dex, you would need:
  30.
  31. 1 Mew
  32. 1 Celebi
  33. 1 Jirachi
  34. 4 Deoxys
  35. 1 Manaphy
  36. 1 Darkrai
  37. 2 Shaymin
  38. 18 Arceus
  39. 1 Victini
  40. 2 Keldeo
  41. 2 Meloetta
  42. 5 Genesect
  43. 2 Diancie
  44. 2 Hoopa
  45. 1 Volcanion
  46.
  47. 44 Mythicals total
  48.
  49. Now say you wanted a living dex in a different generation? PC Stable? All Forms?
  50.
  51. Gen I
  52. 1 Minimum
  53. 1 PC Stable
  54. 1 All Forms
  55.
  56. Gen II
  57. 2 Minimum
  58. 2 PC Stable
  59. 2 All Forms
  60.
  61. Gen III
  62. 4 Minimum
  63. 4/7 PC Stable*
  64. 7 All Forms
  65.
  66. Gen IV
  67. 8 Minimum
  68. 27 PC Stable
  69. 28 All Forms
  70.
  71. Gen V
  72. 12 Minimum
  73. 37 PC Stable
  74. 39 All Forms
  75.
  76. Gen VI
  77. 15 Minimum
  78. 40 PC Stable
  79. 44 All Forms
  80.
  81. *Deoxys in Gen III was a bit of an odd duck - Its forms are technically PC Stable, but it had to be traded to a different game to change forms. Normal on Ruby, Sapphire, Colosseum, and Gale of Darkness, Attack on Fire Red, Defense on Leaf Green, and Speed on Emerald. Therefore, to have all at once, you would need to spread your living dex across four different games
  82.
  83.
  84.
  85. Definitely a challenge to get all of these, especially with events being long over. However, for as long as the series has existed, so too have glitches and other interesting ways to get these mythical Pokemon
  86.
  87. Below are various ways to get each mythical Pokemon, excluding events. If there is no way to get it in a particular generation, then the most recent way to get it will be listed

  144.
  145. *Glitzer Popping is a glitch in Emerald that lets you rewrite Pokemon as you see fit, and even some game variables. Unfortunately, Mew and Deoxys in Gen III have a form of DRM built in - They cannot, to my knowledge, be traded off of Emerald or transferred to Gen IV games. Celebi and Jirachi do not share this limitation
  146.
  147. **Finding a Ranger game without a claimed Manaphy is difficult at best, so unfortunately this method is of limited use
