Osiris asks, "Tell me, uh... Hm... Are you genuinely okay? Concerns, and whatnot?"
It is something that would be asked of him, no doubt.

But he knows that such a thing is something that he would need to go over time and time again- for he knows that his mental state hasn't been.. quite there since the revelation of particular things on expedition. After all, he knows..

It's going to be something.. quaint, to say the least.

"--Just saw something on expedition back there, in the desert."

"Realized that Osrona is full of it an' they cannot be trusted, ever. Each time I have to pretend as if I like them, I hate myself on the inside."

"I hate working for them at all. I'm only doing this so Lionheart can secure their positions, really."

Although, as he approaches the waters, there's but a brief glance to Osiris.

"Well.."

"And you?"

Osiris' lips pursed as they listen to Basil's concerns as to what it was like to be paid to work under Osrona with the knowledge he has of their hierarchy in the past - and even their notable figures as of the present day.

A hand moves forth to grip onto Basil's shoulder - a grounding hand to hopefully stabilise his thoughts. If only to abruptly pull the Rhoynishman into an embrace, nothing different from their usual displays of affection to this dear friend of theirs.

He already know Osiris could be, and was, overemotional at times.

"Will you still be with the guild once everything has been established?" A genuine thought for his whereabouts after the settling of Lionheart to form a settlement.

"And, as for myself...? Well, things have been jarring. The church denied me, but... That only fuelled my drive further. I've been meditating and such... Working, and more. I-..."

There's a pause.

"I feel as though these are all just trials from Phos to prove my determination and worthiness to be a part of that House." They look to Basil, there's a subtle shift in those golden wisps fluctuating around them.

A change which felt like their tether to the stars had grown too.

It's not something that Basil minds.

If anything, where he seeks to embrace the Rhoynish in such manner, he merely reaches out as well to hold onto the Felinae close as well; in such manner, he finds respite from the things that plagued his mind- something that has been, no doubt, a challenging endeavour of its own..

Something that has been troubling him so.

"I ain't gonna leave you guys, no."

"I had a talk with Mars about it as well. I kind of.. got mad at her for trying to cater to Osrona, but she explained that she was merely putting on a face. Political talk and whatnot."

Something that he learned all too well by now.

"But.. so long as they don't reserve themselves to truly serve Osrona? Then I'll be there."

And that is something that he's made clear to her time and time again, but he imagines that there won't be any differences from here on out. Though..

"I don't feel like you need church."

"Ya are great on your own, Osiris, and you ain't need validation of anybody else." But.. with this warmth? With the flicker of something else?

There's a smile of the Rhoynish.. if only because his thoughts were confirmed.

"I knew it.."

"I knew you're gonna make it."

There's a light squeeze offered in the midst of the embrace when he confirmed that he would not be leaving them. That was a weighty relief for the Felinae, for Basil was one of the reasons in which they'd stayed with Lionheart for as long as they had.

If not, the main reason. They cared far too much about him to not do whatever possible to be at his aid when it was needed. For him to be at Osiris' aid when they needed him too.

"I never will understand politics, I'v never really gotten the chance to learn how it works - or even attend meetings for that sort of stuff and whatnot."

They slowly released him as he states they didn't need the Church.

"That's what I came to tell Pericles too. He said he couldn't trust me to not tarnish their reputation as a mercenary. So I told him I'd carve my own path to the stars, because I'm a Felinae. I shouldn't follow in his footsteps."

It should be the other way around.

"I'm still so far... But I'll get there. I know it. I have to."

Their future holds a lot of things ahead of them.

So much so that he knows it could become an endeavour in which they grow out of the shadows of those around them- in particular, that of the people that could potentially stand in their way too. After all, haven't others already tried to intercept them.. in a way that could only show that they're simply envious of what Lionheart has become?

And some are forced to respect them, too.

"I ain't understand it either, but I believe that it's something we would overcome, regardless. As much as I hate to pretend to even like them.."

"It won't last forever."

Soon. He already feels it.. soon it would become an absolute in which he would no longer have to pretend at all; instead, where the Felinae releases him, he speaks out.

"Ya ain't gonna have to follow Pericles either."

"He doesn't knowwhat he preaches. He says that he's serving the interest of the church, yet he's following the dogma of the Teraphim - and he ain't know how to oppose that either."

"The entire church had to admit that they made a mistake, but.."

"We'll remind them of their mistake."

A promise which he made for himself. Now, with the connection to his own star, Alph, growing..

He won't falter.
