  1. Where were we before we were left?
  2. Maybe we were slow dancing somewhere between
  3. heaven and hell. Wasteland, ash-covered, smoke-
  4. filled, waltzing in the ruins, in the middle of a war.
  5. Where would we be if we left?
  6. Perhaps flying on the highway, running away from
  7. A futureless land. You have always wanted to just
  8. Leave it all behind, drive to the world's end to hide.
  9. We were running, running and running but still ended
  10. Up at the same place where we started. The young only
  11. Know to run but maybe war is in our blood and there are
  12. Some things you can't outrun.
  13. The world shall fall with -- shouts and screams
  14. When anger burns down rationality, slow but
  15. Sure, will you let the wolves sharpen your teeth
  16. To a knife they can use to plunge into your back
  17. When words become bullets and your lips feel
  18. like a smoking gun, will you let pain fill your
  19. Veins, will you let rage escape from your throat
  20. The world shall fall with -- rain and storm
  21. When frozen hearts stole the little warmth
  22. Left on this land, will you still remember you have
  23. a hand to hold out, a voice longing for music
  24. When your last home is a ship destined to
  25. Become wreckage at the bottom of the ocean
  26. Will you drown your fear with tears and wait
  27. Or will you sing, repaying the cold waves in song
  28. Amidst the shouts and screams, find strength in
  29. A melody, a remedy, maybe someone would sing along
  30. Sing about a little thing called hope, a name long
  31. Forgotten, a creature who found her home inside
  32. A maze, waiting for someone, anyone, for lost souls
  33. Don't ask why it has to be you, just stay with me for a
  34. Moment in this fading glory of a city. Dance with me
  35. On the edge of the world, sing with me through the night
  36. And maybe, just maybe, we can keep the dying light alive.
