- [4/15/2015 7:22:46 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Hey Scoots, how are you doing today? ^_^
- [4/15/2015 7:23:06 PM] Scootie: HOLY SHIT O-O
- [4/15/2015 7:23:26 PM] *** Scootie flips you to the floor D8< ***
- [4/15/2015 7:25:15 PM] Scootie: I'm sorry, you really startled me there! OAO
- [4/15/2015 7:29:44 PM] *** Shrimp Noodle is crumpled up on the floor, tail twitching weakly... ***
- [4/15/2015 7:29:49 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Ow... >_<
- [4/15/2015 7:30:08 PM] *** Scootie flaps you back into shape ***
- [4/15/2015 7:30:30 PM] Scootie: So sorry! I didn't really hold back there! ^^;;
- [4/15/2015 7:33:09 PM] *** Shrimp Noodle pops back into shape and lands on my feet next to you ***
- [4/15/2015 7:34:15 PM] Shrimp Noodle: It's my fault, I kinda forget that I should never try sneaking up on you. ^_^; So, how are you doing today?
- [4/15/2015 7:34:39 PM] Scootie: I'm alright today, how about you? ^^
- [4/15/2015 7:39:03 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I'm doing pretty good! I've been grinding a bit in Monster Hunter 4, and I've almost got all of my Rathian armor set already! Plus, my kitty's dressed like a lion now. XD
- [4/15/2015 7:39:52 PM] Scootie: Oh nice and cute! Still at HR2 for now?
- [4/15/2015 7:43:32 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yep, I figured that I should just wait and build up my armor and weapons for now, and then we could do more of those missions together the next time we join forces. ^_^
- [4/15/2015 7:44:29 PM] Scootie: Good! Don't forget to do the caravan too! You can still grind stuff from there as well! ^^
- [4/15/2015 7:49:02 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, I've been grinding both of the Level 4 missions that give me Rathian parts for a while now. All I need now for the last piece of Rathian armor is a few Rathian plates. I even made a poison blade using Rathian parts, and it looks much more awesome than my previous sword. XD
- [4/15/2015 7:50:07 PM] Scootie: Ay, rathian plates be a rare drop too in low ranking missions
- [4/15/2015 7:50:24 PM] Scootie: But praise if you get a Rathain ruby!
- [4/15/2015 7:54:37 PM | Edited 7:55:43 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Yeah, unfortunately. I want a Rathian plate soo badly, I've slaugthered whole families of those dragons just trying to get one. >_< And I didn't even know about the ruby...but now I want one of those too. Probably gonna have to deplete the entire world's population of those dragons just to get a ruby, I bet.
- [4/15/2015 7:55:45 PM] Scootie: Better to not actually worry so much over rare drops, I do grind, but I never really expect them yet I get a lot of them
- [4/15/2015 7:55:54 PM] Scootie: I think I have 2 of them
- [4/15/2015 7:56:47 PM] Scootie: You don't have to worry about rubies now! ^^;
- [4/15/2015 7:57:13 PM] Scootie: Just beat the crap out of Rathalos' ole gurl
- [4/15/2015 8:00:54 PM] Scootie: Don't worry, when you start at High rank, she'll give better drops, though if your working on that poison sword/shield, you'll have to soon going to fight the Pink Rathain!
- [4/15/2015 8:01:37 PM] Scootie: She's a bit familiar in fighting patterns at times, but has more explosive flames and does the triple back flip
- [4/15/2015 8:06:51 PM] Scootie: Also did you know your GS has an upswing attack you can use to string an infinite combo?
- [4/15/2015 8:25:22 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Wow, I can't wait to go to battle against a Pink Rathain, that sounds like an awesome battle. XD And yep, I rarely use the upswing just because of the amount of time it takes to recover your stance, but I normally just alternate the usual downward swing and wide slash attacks over and over for an infinte combo.
- [4/15/2015 8:27:19 PM] Scootie: Yeah, but if you throw that upswing in, you'll recover for fast combos
- [4/15/2015 8:27:55 PM] Scootie: Plus don't underestimate Pink, when in low rank armor, she will hit hard
- [4/15/2015 8:29:27 PM] Scootie: Then you'll want to start trying to get a HR armor set! XD
- [4/15/2015 8:30:00 PM] Scootie: I favor Black Gravios' set for High rank missions
- [4/15/2015 8:30:19 PM] Scootie: It might not be pretty, but it's fairly useful
- [4/15/2015 8:33:57 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Really? In that case, I'll have to try adding in the upswing to my combos next time I'm playing Monster Hunter. I've only used the upswing as a single attack by itself, and it's pretty slow that way. ^_^ And I'll have to make sure to remember Black Gravios as well, since I'll definitely need some armor upgrades once my hunter level raises some more.
- [4/15/2015 8:38:06 PM] Scootie: Black Grav I think comes around at HR 6 in the guild hall, he's pretty spammy with that fire beam
- [4/15/2015 8:39:33 PM] Scootie: But G-Rank is a whole motha fuckin other game, this nigga will shoot fire blasts at people, G-Rank monster attacks are always interesting, but at times really intimidating
- [4/15/2015 8:43:38 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Wow, I can't wait to get to those levels then! The current monsters I've been obliterating are actually getting a bit too easy/annoying since I upgraded mine and my cat's armor and weaponry.
- [4/15/2015 8:45:13 PM] Scootie: Ahh, don't get too cocky now, even I still get one shorted by G-Rank monster attacks, there are literally one hit kill attacks that monsters can have and you won't even expect it, and you haven't even seen the Deviljho yet!
- [4/15/2015 8:46:19 PM] Scootie: Careful when you get to high rank, the hints only get tougher, but keep steady and you mash that Great sword into their heads real good! ... Or chop their tails off! ^^
- [4/15/2015 8:50:24 PM] Shrimp Noodle: One hit kill monsters? Wow, that...definitely seems a bit unfair to the player, but I think I'll be ready for them when the time comes to smash some monster skulls! Hopefully. Hehe, and that's what I've been doing to the Rathian dragons...if they try to poison me with their tail, that tail is coming off in a hurry. XD
- [4/15/2015 8:52:15 PM] Scootie: Oh, actually even if you knock the club of the tail off, that move will still poison you! XD
- [4/15/2015 8:52:42 PM] Scootie: But yes, cutting off the tail is very satisfying uwu
- [4/15/2015 8:53:42 PM] Shrimp Noodle: L
- [4/15/2015 8:55:41 PM] Shrimp Noodle: LOL I guess the poison is just leaking out at that point, so they could probably still get you with their classic back-flip-poison-tail move. XD But I love being able to dish out visible damage to monsters in this game.
- [4/15/2015 8:56:48 PM] Scootie: Found a monster you hate fighting yet? XD
- [4/15/2015 8:57:30 PM] Shrimp Noodle: YES...and also one that I love fighting as well.
- [4/15/2015 8:57:49 PM] Scootie: Oh! Please share! 0w0
- [4/15/2015 9:04:41 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Okay...I HATE fighting the Gypceros so much...I really hate that stupid chicken thing. XD It blinds me with it's bright flashes, then somehow mugs me when I'm stunned. Even if I kill it, it still keeps the object it stole. Then it rains huge globs of poison while charging at me, and makes it painfully hard for me to use any item because Mia can never keep the thing's attention long enough to keep it from trampling me whenever I pull out a potion or try to sharpen my blade. The most tedious mission I've ever done so far was the one where I had to kill two of those things...
- [4/15/2015 9:05:47 PM | Edited 9:06:00 PM] Shrimp Noodle: They just kept flying away to a new area over and over again, and it took forever to separate them and kill each one by themselves.
- [4/15/2015 9:06:23 PM] Scootie: You should've brought dungbombs
- [4/15/2015 9:06:47 PM] Scootie: They'll ward off a monster if two become too much to handle
- [4/15/2015 9:08:54 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I actually did bring dungbombs. XD I threw one dungbomb at the first one, and then the other runs face-first into the blast trying to charge me. Then both of them flew away. >_>
- [4/15/2015 9:10:30 PM] Scootie: Damn, Gyp is not to hard for me because I've learned how to battle it. I use the hammer as my choice of weapon because my main concern part to smash up is the head. Nothing else, keep attacking the head, attack the head, no horn, no horn, don't get flashed >w>
- [4/15/2015 9:10:57 PM] Scootie: Plus it'll really leave them open when the realize they cannot use their flash attack too!
- [4/15/2015 9:11:10 PM] Scootie: So now, who do you love fighting?
- [4/15/2015 9:16:21 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I should get me a hammer then in that case, because it's hard fighting those Burdens of Life with a Great Sword. XD Now, the creatures I love fighting the most is the Najarala, just because of how much I love it's design and how it moves. Every time I see it I just imagine that my dragon sona would be able to move and wrap around people in a similar way.
- [4/15/2015 9:18:20 PM] Scootie: Naja is pretty dope indeed, he's one cunning monster to fight
- [4/15/2015 9:23:28 PM] Scootie: For me
- Hate the most- Rathalos line (Aka all of them)
- Hate at times- Congagala (Poots the ape)
- Douchy to me all the time- Black Gravios
- Too easy to battle- Rathain line and Zinogre (But I fucking love Zino's theme)
- Fun at times- Narcy (Obviously Spider-Man)
- Fun as fuck to battle- Brachydios (If Little Mac had bombs for hands, you can imagine)
- [4/15/2015 9:24:22 PM] Scootie: Most entertaining and adrenaline pumping? Tigrex line and Seregios
- [4/15/2015 9:24:47 PM] Scootie: Those two are still the toughest, but most fun challenges to battle
- [4/15/2015 9:28:22 PM] Scootie: Did I ever tell you I had a quest where I had to battle two frenzied Black Gravios?
- [4/15/2015 9:30:00 PM] Scootie: Also wait til you meet Purple Gyp! XD
- [4/15/2015 9:31:54 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I actually kinda like fighting the Rathalos so far (though I've only had to take on the first one at the moment, so my feelings may change soon) Also, I don't think you've told me that story yet. And what's the Purple Gyp?
- [4/15/2015 9:32:32 PM] Scootie: It's Gypceros 2.0
- [4/15/2015 9:32:38 PM] Scootie: Just purple
- [4/15/2015 9:33:10 PM] Scootie: Plays dead more and flashes more, also that he shoots more accurate poison like a sharpshooter
- [4/15/2015 9:34:48 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Brachydios and Tigrex sound like some awesome fights I'll can look forward to...and there's even more of those chicken things? >_<;; And that's right, I'd almost forgot to mention how much I hate it when they play dead... Those birds are built for trolling players in this game. XD
- [4/15/2015 9:35:36 PM] Scootie: Actually you should take big advantage of that
- [4/15/2015 9:36:16 PM] Scootie: When they do that, you can lay on more damage and get rid of the head horn if your worked at striking it even while it was moving
- [4/15/2015 9:36:47 PM] Scootie: But yeah, purple gyp is gonna make you wish you didn't fight him XD
- [4/15/2015 9:37:27 PM] Scootie: Your first Tiggy is gonna be frenzied in the campaign mode, do be careful
- [4/15/2015 9:37:41 PM] Scootie: I'd recommend a thunder element weapon
- [4/15/2015 9:39:27 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Next time, I'm just going to bring, like, all the barrel bombs for Gyps. XD And I've been hoping to gather the materials I need for a thunder element great sword, but it's a work in progress at the moment. I think I need to gather more thunder sacs.
- [4/15/2015 9:39:46 PM] Scootie: Oh man, the Khezu
- [4/15/2015 9:39:51 PM] Scootie: I hate them
- [4/15/2015 9:40:30 PM] Scootie: But of you do need the thunder sacs, attack Khezu's body, if you damage the body good enough
- [4/15/2015 9:40:55 PM] Scootie: You raise the chances of carving thunder sacs and getting it at the results screen
- [4/15/2015 9:41:17 PM] Scootie: Fire elements are good against Khezu
- [4/15/2015 9:42:13 PM] Scootie: Also that monster's red version makes me think I'm fighting John Carpenter's The Thing, and if it's a direct reference to that, that'd be awesome
- [4/15/2015 9:42:21 PM] Scootie: I love that film
- [4/15/2015 9:43:09 PM] Shrimp Noodle: I just need two more electro sacs, and I can make a Shock Sword.
- [4/15/2015 9:43:34 PM] Scootie: Oh yeah, aim for Tiggy's front claws, he'll start tripping when he starts doing his mad dash attack if you Damage them both and fall over
- [4/15/2015 9:43:46 PM] Scootie: Shock sword is good
- [4/15/2015 9:44:21 PM] Scootie: Though if you want a really good one, the line for Zinogre's great sword packs serious power
- [4/15/2015 9:44:44 PM] Scootie: I have the level 9 one that dishes out 1109 damage
- [4/15/2015 9:45:09 PM] Scootie: It works wonders against wyverns and water monster
- [4/15/2015 9:53:57 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Holy crap, I definitely want that great sword! Until then, I'll just have to settle for the Shock Sword to help in future battles, once I kill enough Khezus to get the materials for it.
- [4/15/2015 9:56:46 PM | Edited 9:58:13 PM] Scootie: Yeah, to get that sword though, you'll have to face off against a G-Rank Zinogre and G-Rank monsters really step their game up because they have a slew of new attacks and your having to learn a new set of fighting patterns too, though Zinogre still ends up being too easy for me to battle. I really like that Thunder wuffy's design. Sigh I heard they nerfed him because of how much of a threat he was in MH3U/Tri
- [4/15/2015 10:03:41 PM] Scootie: Also if you guys wanted to play Monster hunter with me tonight, can't. On duty, it'd have to be tomorrow or Friday at the most -A-
- [4/15/2015 10:18:32 PM | Edited 10:18:38 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Okay, that's fine with me. ^_^ I'll probably get on Gmod for a little while in a few minutes anyways or play some Monster Hunter by myself to improve my equipment.
- [4/15/2015 10:28:51 PM] Shrimp Noodle: Time to call it a night! Hope you have a wonderful night, love ya dearly, and sleep well. ^_^
- [4/15/2015 10:47:26 PM] Scootie: Love you too! I'll see ya hun!
