  1. Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories 5-card randomizer FAQ
  2.
  3. Q: What are you trying to do?
  4. A: Beat a randomizer of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories 5-card mod as quickly as possible. Forbidden Memories uses the same cards as the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG but has different rules.
  5.
  6. Q: What is the 5-card mod?
  7. A: You win 5 cards per duel instead of 1. That's it.
  8.
  9. Q: What is a randomizer?
  10. A: The cards you can win from each duelist are randomized. So unlike the original game, you don't know the best place to win good cards.
  11.
  12. Q: What rules are different from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG?
  13. A: The main one is that you must play exactly one card per turn. However, you can combine cards (including magics and traps) to make stronger ones. A single summon is often a combination of 3-5 cards from your hand. At the start of each turn, you draw until your hand has 5 cards. Because of this, it's often useful to "toss" less useful cards. Also, high-level monsters do not require tributes to summon, so cards such as Blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon (4500 ATK) and Gate Guardian (3750) are nearly unbeatable without magics and traps.
  14.
  15. Q: What are you playing on?
  16. A: ePSXe, an emulator for PS1 games.
  17.
  18. Q: What are the icons on the left?
  19. A: How many copies of certain powerful cards I have. The cards are, from top to bottom: Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth (3500 ATK), Blue-Eyes White Dragon (this represents any 3000 ATK monster), Magician of Black Chaos (any 2800 ATK monster), equips, Raigeki, Dark Hole, Widespread Ruin.
  20.
  21. Q: Why are you not using powerful cards like Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon?
  22. A: They're just too powerful and make the game less diverse and less fun.
