- Yet Vegeta's flame-enveloped body tore through the attack like scissors through paper, slamming his elbow into Cell and sending him hurtling down onto the surface of the moon. With a mighty crash, forming yet another crater on its surface, the monster found himself dumbstruck. The green-armored demon bit moonrock, now on his hands and knees, panting for air that wasn't there. Around his tall lengthy form, a cloud of grey dust slowly settled towards the surface, as if in slow motion. Another formed just after, as the Saiyan prince touched down just beside him.
- Vegeta opened his mouth to taunt his helpless foe, but because the atmosphere was negligible nothing came out. It had been Cell's idea to fight out here anyway, and while the view was nice, there was no way of properly humiliating his opponent.
- Cell's eyes widened, turning his head as Vegeta started running towards him. Then, winding back his right leg, the Ascended Saiyan punted his enemy up into the heavens, directly at the small blue planet. The bio-android only picked up speed as he was flung helplessly through the emptiness of space. Inexplicably, he couldn't slow himself no matter how hard he tried. Flying behind him, Vegeta kept spamming him with kiais, increasing both his speed and preventing him from taking any counter measures. Cell even tried to instant transmit himself down to the planet, but each time he'd almost gotten a fix on an energy signal Vegeta would stun him again.
- Through Earth's atmosphere, now glowing with the molten orange of re-entry, Cell's body flung helplessly, continuing to gain speed to the point that it only took him a few seconds to reach the surface—a feat that would have taken nine whole minutes in normal freefall. Behind him, Vegeta smiled ever on as he pursued. Below, the conscious Z fighters panicked, each grabbing the helpless ones around them and lifting into the air. They barely made it.
- KAAAATHHOOOOOOOMM!
- As if a comet had just struck the planet, the surface of the Earth splintered, quaking for miles in every direction. A wave of dirt, several hundred feet tall, spread out like a tidal wave away from where Cell had crashed. It threatened to re-shape not just the surrounding area, but probably forever alter the climate for a hundred miles in every direction.
- Mr. Satan's jaw could only drop in pure terror, his arms hanging limply in front of his body, as he stared up at a towering skyscraper of dust and debris.
- "That's it," he gulped. "I'm finished. Goodbye, world goodbye! I love you, Videl, my sweet little baby girl!" he ducked for cover, knowing it was pointless.
- About a hundred yards away, Firecracker and the TV crew expressed similar sentiments. "This...this is the end for sure, ladies and gentlemen!" he shouted, knowing he perhaps had ten seconds left to live. "I hope the world will remember my bravery in faithfully broadcasting to you this most important of events all the way until the end!"
- While the rest of the spectators had all evacuated, most hadn't even gotten as far as West City, which would surely be hit by nearly a full force wave; it was located only six short miles away. Everyone stood still, watching in terror as the wall of dirt could be seen for miles in every direction.
- And then, suddenly, just as Hercule's afro nearly blew clean off his head, the wave of dust dissipated. The mile high wall of dusty soil just vanished, leaving nothing but the visible tremor through the ground itself. Unknown to anyone but the Z fighters, Vegeta had intercepted the blast wave, flying loops around it all the way from the base to the sky. As his speed completely maxed out from his descent from space, containment had been a mere trifle. The Saiyan had completely neutralized the wave of destruction—something he might not have bothered with in the past, having little care for the well-being of humans.
