  2. It had only been a few days since they had started to travel from their beautiful island home, she was already missing it, but couldn't do much about it as she wanted to help find away to get Vis fixed. She felt sad that any of this had happened in the first place, if only Cedric hadn't insisted on bringing her home, or helping Vis out of the situation they would be perfectly happily feasting on plenty of fish around a nice large warm fire. The young woman was in a borrowed dress that Cedric had brought with him for her, simple and pink, but hugged to her curvy form, atop that set a dark black traveling cloak. The hood pulled up over her head, hiding her eyes from any and all of the sailors that were working on the ship, as she had a habit of changing their colors when she was flustered or stressed out and this trip was quite stressing.[C]
  3. She worried about Vision, and how he was handling this all, being that it was late into their night of travel the wind began to pick up seeming out of nowhere; so much so that it actually blew the hood off her head to reveal her beautifully dark black curled hair softly blowing with the breeze. Her hazel green eyes seemed to be searching from the direction that it was coming, but suddenly a swirl of black and purple smoke appeared and the ship was seeming to be barreling right towards it. Water was just seeming to poor into it and then she would panic a bit "Vision, where are you?" she asked worriedly as there was also rain and thunder with lightening seeming to light up the sky as the ocean waters were hurling them towards this unknown opening that seemed to want to swallow everything. Her eyes shifted to a worried blue color as she searched for him, then when she spotted Cedric she would grab on to him.[C]
  4. "Did you use such magic again??" she yelled out of the roar of the wind, waves, rain and constant thunder. Soon though before she could say anything else she spotted Vision and a bit of a relief washed of the woman, but just as she had, the whole ship was just sucked right inside of it. Being crushed and mangled up into pieces, bit by bit. "Cedric! what do we do?" she yelled as she started to fall from the ship.[E]

  9. Getting the outcasted creature onto the ship had been quite the hassle, but what choice did it have? Vision was either to be alienated on the island or had the option to come with them. The thought of being alone, especially with his Maimai going away, the latter was the better route. It still didn't mean he couldn't hesitate or change his warped mind. The little boat that took them to the larger vessel was ok, but once they got to their destination, the big creature was starting to get antsy. it wasn't too late to jump in the water and swim back to shore. The efforts of both Mai, Cedric and the extra money paid to the captain finally got the beast aboard. All manner of reassurance was given that Vision wouldn't cause any trouble. Cedric had to play peacekeeper for some of the trip until things seemed to settle. He wished he could have put the monster to sleep, at least until they g

He wouldn't eat anything unless Mai brought him something and even that had been very little. His anxiousness spiked shortly before the sudden storm had hit. Cedric was out on deck and wrote in a small notebook. Most like solitude and quiet to study, he needed background noise. Cedric had his lantern nearby as he found a place to settle until he got tired. The night crew talking, waves splashing, wind through the sails, the ship itself creaking as it moved along, the whole 'Drunken Duck' was alive about him and it was peaceful. Yeah, he was skeptical about the name, but so long as the ship did it's job, as the captain boasted himself, why complain about the name? Since leaving the island, everything was going smoothly. He came upon a shocking scene; seeing the nativ

Whether affected by this unknown thing like the others, or maybe because of how she had to survive on the island along with them...Mai wasn't too thrilled to see him. He was blamed for her current condition, which was to be expected since it was his fault. Then later, he tried to help her friend and found out the hard way that magic was a no no when dealing with the creatures. His fault again and now Vision was the way he is. Taking them away from the island was just brewing another oops on his part. There was a shift in the water and at first he thought he was a wave, feeling that slight dip down before the shouts started. Cedric had to jump off his train of thought and quickly put his notebook away. The wind was starting to blow an

So many things were going on in a short...VERY short amount of time. He nearly lost his balance as the water and rain hit the deck and he slid. Suddenly he felt someone clutching his arm. "This wasn't me!" Cedric would be upset about the accusation later, right now he needed to keep Mai safe. A wailed howl broke through the wind as a terrified Vision was hunched down on all fours. His claws digging into the wood and his tendrils flailing about wildly. He didn't want to move and would have burrowed right through the floor if he could. The angry flapping of the sails and the masts threatening to snap made him hunker down even further. Another mournful wail erupted from his slanted mouth and his dark eyes clenched tightly. It

  17. was only when he dared to peek, did he see he was getting swallowed up by the darken tunnel and the ship was being ripped apart! It spurred him to move and scramble towards them. So much going on and Cedric felt Mai slipping away from him. Not again, he wouldn't lose her again! His hand launched out and he caught her by her sleeve. Just as Vision got close enough, the scholar would step forward and shout something over the wind. A purple light illuminated over the three just as they were swallowed up by the unknown force. Darkness would envelop them and it was suddenly hard to breath. Water would soon surround them and they bubble up and to the surface of a lake. Cedric gasped for air and coughed as he tried to breathe and look around. Daylight, calm, and some debris floating about him, including the name of the ship. "Mai, Vision!" He tried calling out and prayed they were alright.

  20. Mailia:
  21.
  22. All that Mailia could constantly remember once she found that it was her brother that had come to her home island, was that horrible disappearing game he wanted to play with her; sure she could be that annoying little sister, though it was only due to her desiring to be closer to her brother. Cedric was her hero, and idol, she adored him quite a bit and just wanted to know what it was that he was studying, until that day he told her she could finally see what it was he had been working. Finally she was happy that the day in and out pestering her older brother to show her, Cedric was finally; though little did she know that such a thing would happen to her. She was sent far from home, and ended up washed up on the shore of a distant island that seemed to be lost out to time, she was also quite beat up from the coral reef. She had quite a few scratches and deep cuts.[C]
  23.
  24. The natives had found her, and with how fair and lovely she looked they knew she didn't belong there, but thought to care for the girl so that she wouldn't be left out to die. The villagers took her in to treat her wounds, and from there she told them that she was waiting for her brother to fix his mistake with his magic. From then on time passed along fairly quickly, and soon she realized that he didn't try to find her or fix the issue; spending many days crying and sobbing as she just wanted to go home. Soon though her tears were dried and she quickly took to learning how to live off the land, hunt for food, sow her own clothes as well as a verity of other tasks she needed to learn to keep living there. She even was quite versed in which, plants helped heal what. Then that incident happened and that day changed her forever; with-so anyone that was in it's spot of vivacity of that stupid stone.[C]
  25.
  26. Her body started to change and adapt, but not in the way that Vision's had, but in a more positive light; almost as if she was immune to it's negative effects. Once they had gotten settled on the ship, Mailia spent most of her time tending to Vision as she was grateful that he wanted to come with her; as she thought that exile wouldn't do him any good, but neither would being without her. They had grown up together and she wasn't about to leave her sweet best friend and love in the world alone, and not with Cedric's insane magic always going haywire. She began to wonder if he truly had mastered anything decent of the sort. But as the ship collided with an unforeseen storm and black hole; how could no one see such a thing clearly as her? was it something to do with the change? she had near to perfect eyesight vision even in this stormy whether. Having quickly snatched up Titianna, her tiger cub up into her arms as they got closer and closer.[C]
  27.
  28. After grabbing his arm she would shake her head a bit "any time there is any kind of magic involved it seems to always be your fault!" she managed out before she had started to slip down off the ship. Just then being surrounded by a force from Cedric, and barely being held to as her sleeve started to tear at the seem, it could only hold for so long, before she knew it she was gasping and surprised that sudden darkened void swallowed them up and now she was back in water. Swiftly swimming to the surface with her cub in her free arm, she would take a deep breath of fresh air as she broke through the water. Making sure to quickly get the cub's head above the water she would cough a bit as she was further out in the middle of the lack, her black curls now flat and her hair matted against her face and arms. Shoving it aside as she treading water a moment to get her barrings in such a new place, before her eyes landed on Cedric, then quickly looking around for Vision.[C]
  29.
  30. "Vis!!!" she shouted out loudly as she started to float on her back and placed the cub against her chest so she wouldn't drown as she started to kick her feet backwards. She was growing tired, how she ended up in the middle of a lake in this odd quiet place was confusing to her, but one thing was for certain she was completely done with magic. She hated it, and everything that it's done to her, and her Vis; at this point she was starting to feel home sick badly, tears welling up in her eyes as she tried to blink them away. This was indeed a strange place, though seeming to be still quite nature filled, it wasn't her usual nature filled home.[E]
  31.
  32. Cedric:
  33.
  34. Cedric would continue to float and bob in the lake. His green gaze frantically scanning the water's surface. He was sure he had gotten them in time, god rest the souls of the sailors though...If he could he would have save everyone. Spur of the moment and luck was on the side of his sister and her friend. No way in hell was he calling Vis her love. At least...Not right now. Maybe it was because of the creature's looks, or maybe he was just too protective of his sister and no one would ever be good enough. Still, he had called out for the beast as well. Nothing but debris at first. When the scholar paddled some and felt his feet touch ground, he finally spotted life. Mai had shown up first, reacting the same way as he did with the sudden chance for air. Her cub as well...Cedric had forgotten about the animal. Thankfully she had gotten a hold of it before the protection spell activated. He continued to float c

Another screechy gasp and that slit mouth of his opened to welcome the air into his lungs. More tendrils popped up and the large creature was having trouble seeing. The water surrounded where his eyes were and made his vision blurry. Something bumped against him as he felt Mai's feet and grasped at them. As soon as he realized he had hold of a leg, he managed to stop himself from pulling her under. More coughs and grunts escaped him as Vision told her he was going to try and find shore. Anyone else besides her would just hear the guttural noises and not much else. Well anyone but Cedric. The man had found out using any sort of magic on Vision or his kind ended badly, so he put one on himself to help understand what the hell they were talking about. He cou

Cedric's protection spell ended up giving the critter increased size and more tendrils...Which he wasn't happy about. He pulled Mai close enough to shore so she could aid herself if need be. Cedric was pulling himself from the water and was going to help...Before he met an angry tendril that punched him hard in the shoulder. "The hell was THAT for?!" Cue a whole bunch of sounds and possible words that shouldn't be repeated in front of a lady. Another swing made Cedric face plant back into the water before Vision crawled out and shook the water of his body. The scholar would cough again and try to get up. "Well next time I'll let you drown!" Followed by grumbles as he wrung his clothes out a bit and tried to go check on Mailia.

  40. Mailia:
  41.
  42. Of all the times for him to finally act like a brother it was now, just because Vision look like he did, didn't change the years and days they spent out in the wild together and how they always looked after each other. Or the fact that he had been there for her in the times that she was missing her brother and family, or when she grew angry at her brother for allowing this to happen in the first place. She had grown to have deep feelings for him, and no amount of protectiveness would change that, and more so now as things just seemed to be getting worse. There was no way she was going to leave anywhere without him right at her side, and now this; she really was beginning to grow a bit bitter towards her brother. Once she was free from the water's grasp, slowing her breathing and racing heart she would look up and see that the sky was still blue, and full of light white fluffy clouds, so not entirely to much changed from their world to this one, but nonetheless; happiness was not in her vocabulary over this mess. She would calm the cub against her chest as she decided that floating on her back would concerve as much energy as possible from her long swim to the surface. Even though she spent most of her time in the water, and in the wild jungles of the island, that was still a lot more water she had to swim through this go around. Her body was tired, so was her mind and beyond frustrated with the whole magic stuff that she rather it all just die and go to the pits of hell, but of course wouldn't voice that as they still had to fix Vision, and of course that would require magic. Feeling something bump into her and knocking her out of her thought process she would glance up and noticed it was Vision and relax a bit back into the water as she noticed he was having a tough time reconzing that it was her. "shhh, it's alright, just I" she told him gently in their own native language to getly sooth him as he grabbed against her leg. "Alright, don't strain yourself" she told him as she noticed that he was taking care to not tug on her to hard, and headed in the direction that she could hear Cedric's annoying voice once again. She could tell that Vision seemed to have grown more taller as well as more tendril like things, as there was a few more than she was used to. Damn that magic, it seems to always bother him more and more; she also hated seeing him so upset; it was beyond agervating as she couldn't change anything about it. Once they got closer to shore, she would gently toss the tiger cub on the bank, landing on all four feet as she then slowly made it towards her feet just as she heard and seen Vision punching Cedric's arm a few times. She would sway a bit as she got her balance, as she would raise an eyebrow at Cedric, before narrowing her blusish white eyes at him. "It's your fault we're here in the first place! you should of just left us alone! but after so many years, months, and days, you thought it was so wise to try and take me away and fix what wasn't broken!" she scolded him as she yanked herself away from him. Stepping out on to the bank as the salty smelling tears slipped down her eyes "and now who only knows where we are, and we are so far from anything that is home! I was fine!.....it wasn't like you continued looking for me after that day anyways! I want to go home!" she yelled at him more as she scooped up the cup into her arms as sobs could be heard coming from her. Softly depositing the beautiful white and black tiger into Vision's lap, she would walk around scavaging for dry wood to start a fire to warm them up as they would need something. "Maybe you can make yourself useful, and just go see if there is a town or a village or something near by....maybe we can get some help" she instructed her older brother as she tried to keep her tears from falling more; though it seemed to be impossible.
