[23:02] <Tangent> Another day in the Overcity. A small figure jogs down the empty streets. It's dangerous, she knows, out here, away from what passes for civilization...But she kind of likes it. It feels right, to be out here...looking for...something?
[23:03] <Tangent> She still hasn't heard back from Iris on the trap...she hopes it went okay. Things back home in Belfast are quiet. She's even chatting with Kreim more, as much as Kreim "chats".
[23:04] <Tangent> Everything's fine, so why's she restless?
[23:06] <Zene> The overcity seems abandoned in many places, but rarely is everything simply as it seems in a place like this. Whether or not she was looking for it, a crash and a human's scream off a street to her left grabs some attention.
[23:08] <Tangent> Amelia's eyes go wide, and her head snaps up. She takes off at a sprint towards the scream. "Hey!" She shouts. "Over here!" She sprints down the street, sword suddenly in hand as she runs towards where she thinks the source is!
[23:08] <Tangent> Someone needs help!
[23:12] <Zene> More clattering would easily lead over to a small, short side-alley.. and any amount of eyesight would easily show a teenage girl bound with rope and gagged, set aside there. More important, however, is the figure of an imposing-looking minotaur, which conveniently turns itself to look at Amelia once she's in view.
[23:13] <Tangent> "Stop right there!" Amelia shouts out, sword in hand and raised. Her voice rings out, surprisingly loud for such a small girl. "Or I'll make you stop!" Blue flames flare up around her threateningly as she makes her declaration.
[23:14] <Zene> The figure slowly turns its entire body to face Amelia, and starts walking intimidatingly towards her... it's not the tallest, but shaking thuds can be heard with each step.

[23:18] <Tangent> Amelia isn't scared. Not really. Not with her magic flaring up in and around her. It's tall...but it's no Wendigo, and she's sure she can take it on. With a wordless yell, she throws herself forward, sword slashing through the air in an arc that sends searingly hot flames to lick at the creature!

[23:22] <Zene> The minotaur holds out a fist and swings at the arc of flames.. and almost seems to crush the magic with its presence. From there, it lets out a loud roar and kicks off with both feet to jump at Amelia, the other fist ready to strike as soon as it lands!... although if Amelia is good at paying attention, she just might be able to note its velocity being just slightly distorted, as though leaving room for her to get out of the way. Or maybe
[23:22] <Zene> it's just adrenaline making it seem that way..
[23:23] <Flamy> (Kill it with fire!)
[23:23] <Tangent> Amelia stands her ground, her blade arcing up in a parrying motion that's surprisngly smooth and practiced given the lack of grace she's shown before this.
[23:26] <Zene> The minotaur flies down at her.. and..... stops?.. It's frozen in the air above her, entirely unmoving.

[23:27] <Lilianna> "U~gh. No, no, you're supposed to like.. roll out of the way! Didn't you hear how loud the footsteps were?" A teenage girl speaks up with a poutingly annoyed voice, sitting on the side of a low roof in the side alley. .. She wasn't sitting there before she spoke.
[23:30] <Tangent> "H-huh?" Amelia looks up in confusion at the pale haired girl, then looks back to the...frozen Minotaur. She prods it experimentally with her sword. "I was going to block it!" She blurts defensively, then shakes her head. "Wait a second! Who are you? What're you doing here?"
[23:31] <Zene> The sword goes right through it with no resistance, as though it's not actually there. Which it isn't.
[23:32] <Tangent> She looks past the Minotaur to the...tied up victim? A frown as she starts guessing what's going on here. "...You set this up?" She asks, frowning. On her features, the expression is almost comically serious.
[23:34] <Lilianna> She snaps her fingers and dismisses the illusion of both the monster and girl. "Most people at least don't try to block a big heavy thing~ and the ones that do just, like, cower or something." After stretching a little, she hops down from the roof. "I like seeing how people react to different circumstances~ oh, and since I'm here now, I guess you can have my name~" After a moment of sauntering over, the girl gives an exaggerated bow.
[23:34] <Lilianna> "Li~li~an~na~ nice to meet you, interesting person~"
[23:34] <Bar_Keep> (Kill her!  She's a monster!)
[23:37] <Tangent> Amelia's frowning. "Amelia." She says tersely. "You shouldn't do that sort of thing. Don't you have anything better to do with your magic than tricking people? What if someone was actually in danger out here next time?"
[23:39] <Tangent> She studies Lilianna with her bright blue eyes. Up close, Amelia's a short, slight girl- who looks if anything a bit younger. Her blue and silver outfit's a cross between a uniform and a knight's garb, with a red shawl around her neck giving it a flash of color.
[23:40] <Tangent> A moment of hesitation and she dismisses her sword, then folds her arms as she waits for a response.
[23:41] <Lilianna> "Hmm~ well, if that was the case, I guess I'd be doing something about it instead, maybe~" She stands up and shrugs a little. "But nope, I don't have much better to do. It gets boring wandering around without playing around with people~ besides, nobody got hurt, right?"
[23:46] <Tangent> Amelia sighs. "I...guess...But that's not the point! Magic's fun, sure, but you should at least try and use it to help people too, right?" She's taking a lecturing tone- and still a little miffed about being the subject of a practical joke.
[23:47] <Lilianna> "Hmm~m~" She leans in a little closer, not especially trying to avoid Amelia's personal space. "So~ how do you suggest I do that, then? All I can do is make fake stuff, after all~"
[23:53] <Tangent> Amelia doesn't step back, her arms still folded. "Don't you have a weapon? Besides, you can still help others hunt monsters that way. If you can make fake monsters, you can make fake girls to trick monsters."
[23:55] <Lilianna> "Nope, I don't have any weapons~ just things that don't actually exist." Her idle smile splits into a little grin. "But~ you certainly seem like you're eager to hunt monsters down~ is that an invitation to make fake girls for you?~"
[23:58] <Tangent> "...No." Amelia's scowl deepens. "You're not as funny as you think you are." She grumbles. "I'm starting to see why you're out here on your own." A pause."Actually why ARE you out here if you don't have a weapon? You're not worried about running into monsters when you're messing around with magic?"
[00:00] <Lilianna> "Aww. Oh well~" She shrugs, then takes a couple steps back and twirls around to resume facing Amelia. "Nope, I'm not~ doesn't especially matter if I can kill them or not if I can just avoid them outright."
[00:05] <Tangent> "So...you just run around out here? Looking for people to mess with? Sounds... a bit lonely, actually."
[00:06] <Tangent> Amelia is the voice of tact as ever.
[00:06] <Lilianna> ".. Pretty much." She agrees, leaning against a wall. "I've tried messing with monsters, but they're entirely predictable~ and since I can't really do anything else, that got too boring to keep up with."
[00:11] <Tangent> "You've never thought about using your powers to do something that mattered?"
[00:14] <Lilianna> "Well, thought about it, maybe~ but not like anyone really wants a trickster that can't help taking the chance to tease, not when she doesn't have anything real to bring along. Maybe if I had fire like you~ but I've got smoke and mirrors instead." Lil shrugs slightly, still keeping a small smile.

[00:20] <Lilianna> "Hmm.. I think so~. I could probably get there from here if I tried. Why do you ask?~"
[00:24] <Tangent> "What if someone did want to bring you? Would you rather keep messing around, or actually help people for once?"
[00:27] <Lilianna> "Hmmm... well~ it'd be worth considering, at least." She offers a slightly vague affirmation.
[00:33] <Tangent> "You could help people. It might even be fun." Amelia insists. "Besides...I hear they pay for these things..."
[00:36] <Lilianna> "Mmmm~... hmm~. Maybe~" She pushes off the wall. "How about I help you, then?"
[00:38] <Tangent> "H-huh? I...Sure, I guess? I'm actually just looking for monsters right now...like you noticed."
[00:39] <Lilianna> "Hurray!" She lays a hand on Amelia's shoulder from behind.. and the one back in front of her, leaning on the wall would cease to be there if Amelia looked away from it. "Onwards, brave leader~"
