  1. You are a member of the Red Eagle Task Force, a joint effort by all nations to weed out counter intelligence, and specifically deal with the various insurgents that plague the continent. While the countries may have fought wars in the past, and are still at the fringe of them today, the new world of Transmutation and Alchemy has set forth a need for... something special. Any soldier, Transmuter, or alchemist that has shown capability in the past are offered a chance to join and follow the clues to what's really happening in the world.

  5. In the Continent of Anyir, a Transmuter is a worker of the Æther that links together the lands. By shifting the ties of Æther that connect material, you can change the make up of that material, this is a process called transmutation. A Metallist for example shifts Æther connections together and condenses material into metal. However transmutation isn't a precise process, as much as Ttransmuter would love, and often leaves Æther disconnected as a byproduct. This is called Flux, and has also been called Mana. Mana, in essence is just free-floating Æther used in a form of transmutation called Sorcery, however Flux, has negative side effects in relation to normal Mana, and can break down material, gather up, and cause all sorts of nasty problems.

  7. Transmuters make up a valiant part of both the sciences, as well as the military. Many militarizes across the continent utilize them as human weapons, as well as developers of new forms of combat. As a Transmuter officially licensed by the government, they're expected to be at call at any time for war. As well you are expected for follow a few certain laws. These laws were made 300 years ago, and were signed by all countries of the continent. These laws are called the tenants of transmutation.

  19. As well in the world, transmutation and sorcery have brought many new sciences and technology for mankind to benefit from. Understanding of material, and their actions, have brought into the world a new science called Alchemy, or transmutation applied to technology. Such innovations include bio-alchemical prosthetics, zeppelins, high powered trains, new building techniques, and various other innovations.

  34. Transmutation, Alchemy, or Sorcery:

  36. Transmutation: Transmutation requires a sigil, these sigils channel Æther to change their form, material, and function. Simple sigils do simple things, such as shift the shape of matter to your wants, but attempting to use them to do more complex actions however simply creates flux. More precise and complex sigils have more specific actions, and fine tuning them to efficiency (IE, less Æther used, and less Flux created.) is a mark of a true transmuters. Many study all their lives to only learn to utilize a few, precise sigils, but to various effects and to a grandeur. However transmutation has a few certain rules. The creation of silver and gold is held to be impossible, silver itself even having anti-Ætherial qualities, and gold being impervious to sorcery, transmutation, and alchemy.

  38. Sorcery: Sorcery uses... much less understood means. Strange, unintelligible incantations, movements of the hand, and other such rituals to utilize the stray Æther in the air around us, to gain magical effects. However, Sorcery has a nasty habit to create dry spots of Æther, or worse, create massive amounts of Flux. As well many of it's 'uses' are less than religiously, ethically, or morally just, even to some of the most hedonistic transmuter.

  40. Alchemy: Use of Transmutation with technology. Often, it's an advanced form of prosthetic, armor, or weapon that utilizes principles of transmuting or sigils in it's design to hold a greater, more specialized role. It grew originally from trying to use chemistry to further transmutation, and has evolved since to the creation of advanced weapons, armor, and vehicles, as well as new, amazing materials.
