#PastebinMonday 07/01/2024 A Week of GDQ Free Chat Edition

'Sup, doods!

I am in the middle of trying to a thing that I've never done before. I said I was hosting stream to chat about SGDQ 2024 while I half-watch and half-get-s**t-done. Yesterday, I neglected the half-get-s**t-done part. But yes, if you are looking for a space to talk about the GDQ event without having to subscribe to the GDQ channel to chat, I am providing that space for the next week. Come hang out while I do stuff for my stream in the background. Also see how much I mentally deteriorate from 12 hours a day of streaming. :P

I don't mind hosting a week of GDQ free chat. In fact, I could probably use some help in understanding why I should be playing these games because the runners, by and large, are... not... promoting that as much as they should. Then again, I've only performed a handful of marathon runs so what do I know, dood?




Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:


Goal #1: edit the last tournament's video. I have lots of small things to clean up.
Goal #5b: finalize the tournament layout once and for all in a way that I can adapt for the Pokemon Puzzle League tournaments. I wonder how much I will be able to work on this during this week.
Goal #6a: clean up my own stream layout. Most of the framework necessary for a semi-proper stream is done now thanks to streaming the process, though I'm not currently motivated to stream any other part of it at the moment. Next major objective is to make transitions and alerts. I hope to get to a lot of this during this week.
Goal #6b: catch up on video archives that I have yet to upload since I restarted streaming.
Goal #7: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts left to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. Getting back to this will be easier once the workflow for the monthly tournaments is finalized.
Goal #8: release the Puzzle League tutorial series YouTube shorts once a day until they're all done. I really do think I need to time the release of the series with a ramping up of my streaming schedule so that I can take advantage of whatever there is to gain from releasing the shorts.
