orime : How long have you been playing league of legends at competitive level ?

Wickd : since first tournaments in the beta, so before the game actually came out.

orime : That's a long time ^^
What's the biggest change that has been done to the game in all this time in your opinion ? :)

Wickd : to the game or in the gameplay itself by the players?

orime : Both

Wickd : well lets start out with the players then ; I believe in the start people played alot more random, and people were playing without tactics. Basically I often saw ppl just run around randomly and suddenly group up and be 5 man together rest of the game instead of now where sometimes you go 4 holding 1 pushing and those tactics. It was more 5 at point A, 5 at point B ; go teamfight and whoever wins takes some profit.
Now its more like 3 people there, 2 people over there to block them and do an initiate, while the enemy is like "ok let them come we take off the two guys fast and then go back to the three". Basically, there's more strategic tactics.
I also believe the game has become alot more passive early game because  people have found out you get more profit from farming your lane early game instead of running around entire earlygame just ganking.
Changes to the game itself is that it's easier to kill people now because back in the beta you saw people getting caught by 5 and with old flash they could flash insanely far and the only way to basically catch a guy with flash was to have flash youself. Now the range on flash is alot shorter, and it's alot easier to catch people that makes mistakes.

orime : Riot stated they were planning to nerf more or remove flash, are you happy with it ?

Wickd : Well to be honest I don't really care that much because I feel like i just have to adapt.
So it doesn't affect me that much except if they nerf everything im good at, so I will be forced to learn all the heroes im bad at from new, if that happened I would probably be annoyed:d

orime : I hope they'll let you with 1 or 2 good heroes :p
You often play on CLG channel, and you seem to have very good relations with CLG people. Do you think there are still big differences between US and EU meta after the WCG ?

Wickd : Well, as you saw the US people had to adapt to the EU people not opposite. But EU played terrible in all their games against CLG. I didnt see the game against CLG in the qualification rounds so dunno about that one, but in the finals the game they won, They still played bad.
If you saw the game youself, you would have seen that EU got dominated on creeps and map control. SK were lucky to have that baron steal that won them the game though.
The thing that destroyed SK gaming was they bet too much on getting ashe and they trained mainly with ashe, so once CLG were lucky to get their ashe, because they also wanted her for some reason - I don't know why, SK had a problem.
The thing with split pushing is its amazing as long as you kite them so you can push and therefore force the enemy to split up and then teamfight or just make the enemy run after you ... and you kite them ... and Tf takes towers.
But Ashe can force towers with ultimate.

orime : So Ashe is a key piece in TF-pushing games ?

Wickd : well, no. But SK were stupid and bet eveything on CLG not picking it cause they also wanted her, and they didn't even ban her. Ofc you can beat an ashe with that tactic, but its just harder I believe.

orime : Another thing that is hard to know about US servers is what exactly the US scene is made of, are there many good teams beside EPIC and CLG ?

Wickd : I believe not, but i don't know.

orime : I guess ESL helped Europe alot with getting a lot of decent teams...

Wickd : I believe GOA helped Europe alot with getting teams, and ESL helped motivating those teams to stay active.

orime : Speaking of which, which team do you fear or admire the most in go4LoL games ? The one that you want to meet in finals rather than before :p

Wickd : Right now I'm teamless, since recently I left my team because I don't think they are skilled enough for my goals, so I'm probably not joining the next few go4lol, but if we look one week back and I had to decide it would probably be Fureur or SK Gaming. Not because those two are the best teams, but they have a good stable play compared to some other teams that sometimes plays amazing and sometimes bad.

orime : I didn't know that you left topELO. I hope you'll soon find a team to play the go4LoL again :)

orime : Can we get any information about it ? ^^

Wickd : sadly no.

Do you think there's some potential for new advances or discoveries, with the current state of the game ? Like overshadowed heroes, or new strategies that aren't too common

Wickd : obviously there are alot of ovreshadowed heroes. For instance, I believe nidalee sux but hotshot is so insanely good with her so she's actually not that bad. But if hotshot hadn't played her she would be alot lower on the tierlist. So the heroes are often placed in a tierlist based on how good ppl play with them.
Anyway as I said the strategys and the heroes that are played depends on wether they are fun to play with or not.

orime : Do you have occasions to play with Hotshot [one of the CLG's players], or on the US server ?

Wickd : well I would never play with him on the US server because I complain alot about lag, and I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the game :D. But he plays with me sometimes on the Europe server, so yes, we played together quite a few times.

orime : Would you like if there were some EU-US team matches from time to time ? for instance exhibition matches...

Wickd : I would love if they made tournaments with 3 top teams from each region each month or something, so theres a tournament in NA server, and a tournament in the EU server and the 3 top teams from both tournaments play each other in a Best team of the month tourney, or something like that.

orime : Last question : If you could ask for a new champion to Riot, what would it's role be ? Support, tank, early harass, anything else ?

Wickd : Hmm, I would love if they made a new system like rage in wow and then make a Damage dealer with rage. But hes not supposed to be tank.

orime : Something in the line of tryndamere ?

Wickd : well I believe tryndamere is too slow gameplay
Wickd : something faster where you gotta be able to react to things faster and so on.

orime That would be amazing, although I would probably suck at it, but meh, what I need is a kniting hero.

Wickd : well I would prefer something incredible op that only i was able to pick... that would be cool lawl.

orime : You wish :p
