  1. The shroud of darkness is used in brilliant fashion, a regiment of Achyon soldiers infiltrating the Shimmering City just after nightfall. Steel clashes against steel, as alarms ring throughout the streets, the Order employing its defensive maneuvers. The stars above twinkle upon the suits of armor, as squads face off against squads of opposing sides.
  2.
  3. As battles break out across the city, it becomes clear that the sole focus of Achyon's strike force is the retrieval of Bianca Ignacio. Both leaders have ample time to address their elite force, before they too must join the fray.
  4.
  5. (You may RP, and matchups wil lbe posted after!)
  6. [Narrate]
  7.
  8. Quite often, there's only one reason why he comes to Osronans.
  9.
  10. Now there were two - the new one being retrieval of Bianca. Amidst the night, his gaze sets upon their captured soldier- a surprise that strikes his features is apparent, yet it is something that he doesn't quite perceive as satisfactory.
  11.
  12. Not yet.
  13.
  14. The menacing figure of the lethal Captain walks forth; that determined cold gaze already betraying why he's here exactly. Whereas Rhesus made himself apparent by setting Bianca free..
  15.
  16. The gunblade is lifted.
  17. Pointed right at the Stellus.
  18.
  19. "A kind gesture, but that does not absolve you of your crime."
  20.
  21. The rest of Osronans didn't matter to him. Should some hero try and intervene, he'll toss them aside - just like he tossed the countless other magi before.
  22.
  23. But his focus remains clear. There are few things more determined than a parent looking to avenge the death of their child.
  24.
  25.
  26. "Rhesus DeLaurentis. The murderer of Sanguinius."
  27.
  28. "Step forward."
  29.
  30. (Marcel Delisle)
  31.
  32. Despite the release of the prisoner, orders are given to batter the city itself in plunder and destruction! The army of Achyon marches. Meanwhile, Marcel demands the head of Rhesus.
  33.

  45. [Narrate]
  46.
  47. The sound of war is heard once more.
  48.
  49. The sound that he's all too familiar with. Whether successful or not, all that Marcel cares for is to reach to Rhesus this time- a target that just seems to always elude him, no matter what's done or performed to ensure that he would face the killer of his son. Is it any wonder then..
  50.
  51. That he would charge right at him?
  52.
  53. Yet the battlefields tend to be a messy place- a stray shot here, and a sword swing there, and he gets himself caught up battling against the knights and soldiers of Osrona that attempt to intercept the Captain, long before he would reach the Stellus.
  54.
  55. One by one, they're defeated.
  56. But when Marcel tries to look for Rhesus once more..
  57. He's gone. Lost in the smoke of war.
  58.
  59. "..."
  60.
  61. Silent, but unamused and dissatisfied. There is a growing animosity that he feels about it all... a growing anger within his heart that could not accept the notion of him escaping the clutches of the Captain yet again.
  62.
  63. How long it will be until he finally finds him?
  64.
  65. "And again..."
  66.
  67. Again he finds himself unable to reach the Stellus. The soldiers before him, experienced or not, are only given a cold stare of the parent that has been denied vengeance for his son for far too long..
  68.
  69. "I will say this once."
  70.
  71. "Get out of my way."
  72.
  73. Much like he warned the likes of Elise, or myriad other heroes, he would not tolerate interceptions any further.
  74.
  75. He's tired of these.
  76.
  77. Far, far too tired.
  78. (Marcel Delisle)
  79.
  80. As the raid suddenly occurred, it was without warning and yet? The man moved with instincts instilled into him over the years. Still grappling with the situation. All chaos had broken fourth once more.
  81.
  82. "... I'm sorry, but I cannot... A trade for your companion could've been made. This violence? Does nothing more than perpetuate the cycle..." With a deep breathe, he drew out chameolos from its sheath.
  83.
  84. Standing at the ready, his gaze settled onto the man before shifting over to the child beside him. "Be careful little one..." He muttered, a weary gaze, it pained him to see this all happening at once.
  85.
  86. But he couldn't remain idle while others were constantly put into danger. "I ask nothing of you, Marcel... Only that I hope you find what you're seeking beyond this all... Will it even be worth it I question? For even you should recognize. You stand against a mere... Man."
  87.
  88. One without magic, one who looked to remain through the test of time.
  89.
  90. "But I blame you not... Such is the way of the island." Muttered before taking the grip of blade tightly in hand. Swinging forward an array of kinetic prowess."
  91. (Haarper Aertas)
  92.
  93. It is made clear and immediately obvious that things simply weren't going to go his way at all that evening. The impromptu assault had caught him with spirits up, and naturally his words were as arrogantly inflated as they oft were.
  94.
  95. Yet, all of that confidence only rings as fractional once his front is pushed by none other than the most imposing figure in Achyon's hand gallery of onlookers.
  96.
  97. All of that irradiating mana that oscillated around him wavers completely for an instant, whilst Marcel's words pierce cleanly through his eardrums. Soon enough does he know he's faced with a wall he simply cannot hope to scale.
  98.
  99. Yet the words of Haarper resound arrear him, and are quick to reassure his flagrant ego there and then, or at the very last patch it up rudimentarily, in order to have him make a proper stand.
  100.
  101. "You fool! Fufufufufu…" Arrogantly as ever, he restates the imperious nature of his aura and confidently points at his chin with his thumb.
  102.
  103. "Haven't you been told a dozen times already that the lion simply does not falter?
  104.
  105. It should be me asking you to get out of my way! Fufufu…"
  106.
  107. Way to end your life, Lando.
  108.
  109. Way to end it all.
  110. (Lando Metras)
  111.
  112. {RP BATTLE} You have LOST round 2!
  113.
  114. {RP BATTLE} You have LOST the battle!
  115.
  116. {RP BATTLE} {INJURY} You roll a d6... You get 2!
  117.
  118. {RP BATTLE} {CAPTURE} You roll a d6... You get 2!
  119.
  120. {RP BATTLE} YOU ROLLED ABOVE 2: You've sustained an injury in battle! -10% VIT for 1 year. It's up to you and your opponent to determine the specifics of the injury.
  121.
  122.
  123.
  124.
  125. You have received an INJURY from Lando Metras:
  126.
  127. {RP BATTLE} YOU HAVE ROLLED 2 OR OVER: You have evaded capture by your enemies! (Unless otherwise specified, your character may escape captivity)
  128.
  129. Rushing forward, the blademaster wielded his weapon with all his might. Enduring the assaults' with vigor instilled in his mind. Absent, was the thought of defeat. Absent, was the sympathy to give up.
  130.
  131. An unyielding force driven by the sole purpose to accomplish his task. "Marcel!" Words cast past the wickedness that flurried around the trio. Even as his bones shuttered.
  132.
  133. Never surrender... Never give-up... Never... Never... NEVER!
  134.
  135. With his weapon clutched tightly in hand. The man took flight, matching the man across the field. In hot pursuit no matter the distance. Unleashing waves of light cast from the tip his weapon. The constant barrage from both parities were accumulating.
  136.
  137. Burns, cuts. Armor pieced together, but no longer. And as such, the man raised his weapon overhead. Hazel hues staring off directly at the captain.
  138.
  139. "We're only human. Marcel! Remember that while you march forward!"
  140.
  141. In a single sweep downward of his blade. The skies roar whilst being split in-half by Chameolos. Dividing the area in time for the youth-of-all people? To deliver the final crushing blow.
  142. (Haarper Aertas)
  143.
  144.
  145. Holy mana comes out in short bursts whilst Lando desperately attempts to keep up with the duo of more imposing adult magi. And though try as he might, he can't properly hold a candle to neither, it's the humiliation of knowing Marcel's attention can't even casually be begged to be brought in his direction that sees that limit pushed with every fiber in his body.
  146.
  147. Whilst a struggle between near equals ensues and reaches a fever pitch, it's the arrogant Astyan's impotence that causes his force to surge unexpectedly during that make-or-brake moment, right before Haarper's breath runs out altogether.
  148.
  149. "Stop... ignoring... ME!" With two hands laid firmly over the unimpressive phoenix rod, Lando conjures a volley of holy magic blasts that quickly jet towards the Captain's midsection, making one of the luckier ones connect against the joint between his arm and torso.
  150.
  151. And though he drains everyinch and ounce of mana left in his body, straining his circuitry in the process, this provides Haarper with enough of a time window to knock an unstoppable opponent such as Marcel back, perhaps forcing a retreat in favor of tending to his wounds.
  152.
  153. In disbelief and near strengthless daze, the Astyan's grin recomposes, and he nearly slumps over forward, though not without an unbecoming and excessive taunt on his way out.
  154.
  155. "That's... what you get... for ignoring... a prodigy... of the super eli-..."
  156.
  157. Down he goes.
  158. (Lando Metras)
  159.
  160. Experienced as he may be..
  161.
  162. He is not all mighty. There are limits to him, just as there are to all men- and such limit is found when he faces not only against the master swordsman, but also against the holy magi that was helping him plenty.
  163.
  164. Try as he might..
  165. It's just not enough.
  166.
  167. The lightning, the winds, his speed, might and experience - it manages to injure them, to wear them down, but that's about it; for every time that he manages to dodge a powerful strike, he cannot find himself dodging them all.
  168.
  169. Yet there's an attempt to last against the two.
  170. As futile as it is.
  171.
  172. "--For someone who preaches about humanity.."
  173.
  174. "You sure are dense enough to understand the feeling of loss, Haarper."
  175.
  176. Truth be told, he doubts that he would ever understand it- how it feels like to lose a family member, someone he's taken care of for so long. Amidst this..
  177.
  178. He cannot persevere, not with the growing wounds on him- not with the searing bolts of holy magics that begin to peel away his flesh.
  179.
  180. In what could be a fatal blow against him, he manages to avoid it just in time; the wounded Captain was dissatisfied with it all, something that he's yet to remember. But..
  181.
  182. Perhaps the target he looks for won't be this lucky..
  183. To keep avoiding him.
  184.
  185. "..." No words are given to a child. Only unamused glare.
  186.
  187. And the Captain vanishes.
  188. (Marcel Delisle)
