  1. GC CONTROLLER ON PJ64 1.7 (WINDOWS 10 + MAYFLASH GC TO USB)
  2.
  3. Things ya need:
  4. -Gamecube controller
  5. -Mayflash PC USB Adapter (should look like this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B00RSXRLUE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522711276&sr=8-1&keywords=mayflash+gc+to+pc)
  6. -Latest Mayflash drivers: http://www.mayflash.com/support/download/ (W013 driver)
  7. -Project64 1.7 (check speedrun.com for link)
  8. -This NRage plugin: https://drive.google.com/open?id=17fzY2jIcE0XOn7FYy-2uKqoaJEpaUV-C
  9. -This controller layout (closest match to n64 I could find): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1WzqUjA6SAEJgPOMPsIPrsLvK54PHgF9c
  10.
  11. ONCE YOU HAVE ALL OF THE ABOVE:
  12. 1. Get the Nrage plugin and place it into the pj64 input plugin directory. Should be (PJ641.7 folder)/plugin/input
  13. 2. Place the controller mapping somewhere safe, I recommend somewhere inside the pj64 folder or just create a folder somewhere
  14. 3. Plug in the controller to the Mayflash (port 1) then the mayflash into the USB, only the black cable is required as
  15. the grey is rumble,
  16. and make sure the back is set to PC USB
  17. 4. Install the drivers above
  18. 5. If you check in device management, on windows, under human interface devices there should be 4 HID-compliant game controllers,
  19. this is the 4 ports of the adapter.
  20. 6. Boot up pj64 1.7 and go to the options tab then hit settings. From here click the plugins submenu at the bottom of
  21. the list and change your controller input plugin to what should appear as "N-Rage's Direct-Input8 V2 1.80a".
  22. 7. Now close this window and head to options again then configure the controller. Once here click the load profile button
  23. and load the gc profile you downloaded earlier.
  24.
  25. If all was successful everything should now work. I mapped the L button to ENTER on the keyboard but you can change that however you want.
  26.
  27. Troubleshooting:
  28. -Make sure after the controller mapping is loaded you click the devices submenu in the configure input menu and check
  29. that the "MAYFLASH Gamecube Controller" is showing as the gamepad
  30. -Try flicking the switch on the back of the mayflash to wii u then back again to get your PC to re-initialise the
  31. device (signature ping will take place when reconnected)
  32. -Make sure all devices are connected properly (duh)
  33.
  34. This probably won't work on MAC or Linux but hey im not a magician. And as a disclaimer this is what worked for me, if it doesnt work for you hit me up on the oot discord and I'll see what I can do.
