Essence of the Malign Spirit

[20:37] {NARRATION} In the constant fighting and merry-making of this party, a singular chimp is attracted to the square. With red-eyes and a horrible toothy maw, it was clear that this was no normal animal.

It was a malign spirit, born from the suffering of Esshar and filled with the desire to spread chaos and malice.

"ooh oOH OOH AAAAH AAAH AAAH!"

It begins to grow.

"Elisha can it be my familiar?" Mo'Cha's fighting style was similar to that of a monkey, if he's being honest - he just smacks shit up with his sword.

"I was taking this as a test to see if you could be free or not. It seems that you may need some more time to learn courtesy.", he nodded. "Follow me. The last thing I want from you in times of war is dying."

They look angry.

A rather chaotic situation, only complimented by the appearance of a malicious spirit. Whatever could derive from this chaotic situation is however league times better than this lot beating the crap out of eachother.

[20:40] The night would continue onward as they danced. For a time? Lumin would forget how much time had even passed as he danced with her. But eventually, things would soon tone down as the two began to grow tired. The dance growing more into a slow dance as time went on. A joyous smile still curled on the boy's face as they did so
"Mm. Yeah. Th-that was...a lot of fun! It was...b-better than I thought, honestly."

A small scoff would have given by Lumin as he looked off to the side.
"Mm. Well, that's...one of my strengths, I guess. But...i'm not really as determined or headstrong as you are, you know?"

Lumin shrugs his shoulders as he listens to Kia. Still being embraced in the slow dance as they did so
"...Do I do it often? Well...no, actually. This is...my first time dancing. Or...dancing for real, I mean. I practiced a lot last night so...that I was able to do it right."

The red masked boy would have seemed curious about Kia admitting she didn't leave Myllenoris much. Lumin himself went all over the place given his business as an artificer and a trader.
"Oh. Well, given the war and all..th-things are a little dangerous. Maybe one day they can be a little more peaceful and...well, you'll have more time to go out and see the world, you know? We just...have to have hope."

Lumin nods his head as he continues looking into those silver eyes of hers. A small smile appearing on his face as he continued to speak and slow dance with her

The boy's face would have been a little red as he spoke, though...his words would have been immedieately cut off at the spirit that was now in the square. Letting go of Kia's hand, he stays close to her as he eyes it down..

[20:41] Iris would hold his own against the ex-king's assault. He was harmed indeed, but his fast toes allowed him to escape uncertain doom. This king must be the dumbest king alive, thinking a noble can be in charge of the things we use. A tree simper queen and a child beater king, what an amusing thing to see. The masked teenager threw his mask aside and sheathed his blade in wind magic as he began to rush at Spark. He would land a few scratches on him, due to how fast his sword swinging was. It was honed to a perfection. Although his imprisonment halted his development. That's the sad thing about it. It seemed like Spark was lucky that Iris didn't get the chance to land his young hands around the adult's throat. His speeches annoyed him. It gave the impression that they're nothing more but battle born apes. Upon defeat Iris would stand form afar, his face bruised up and nose dripping blood. The boy popped a vein. Truly he didn't seem to care if THAT queen is a simp for a single tree.

Thankfully, mercifully, they were all interrupted by... things. The cadet didn't QUITE get what they were dealing with, but pulled out his staff regardless.

"Er-" He was about to speak, when someone mentioned 'spirit'. "Spirits? Monkey spirits? Really?"

Maybe he was actually drunk and someone would slap him out of it. Or not, but he'd probably fight whatever this thing was regardless.

A gentle melody shimmering off of her body as she ushers a single hum from her lips. "Oh, they're getting really close, aren't they Yin?" The woman comments in a soft tone as she was most certainly used to dealing with grubworms more than anything else!

Then he flings blood at the dark spirit, knowing full well that every time he's done this prior, it's resulted in the summoning of dark gods and the like.

After all, the monkey-spirit seemed angry.

Well, it was always possible to try and placate the spirit rather than fight it, surely -oh, yep, there it was again, someone not thinking about the potential to peacefully calm the spirit. Damnit Elisha.

She drew her bow, preparing to fight if necessary.

Her foot reared back, shifting in garden's dirt as mana was sent surging to it. With teeth grit and fists clenched, she released the energy stockpiled within her leg. It flew forward; its target being one of the two growing chimpanzees.

An attempt to punt them to the other side of Esshar.

Instead, there seems to be something of a different nature. Perhaps, it is forceful...Or mayhaps, she and Basil were far too used to throwing their daughter at enemies...But, what Parsley would feel is an invisible palm wrapping around her being.

Dangerous intent is posed. As the Felinae's hands rise above head, commanding the stars - she infuses her daughter with the mixture of magics. Gravity and red, betwixt starlight and sheer prowess does she viciously launch her daughter within the direction of the Ape...

What her daughter does with the kill...Is her business.

Masks sounded like fun, but it was time for him to do his best, lay low, even though he reeked of roses, those that got a bit too close would feel /other/ darker forces...

[21:14] With the chimp menace finally defeated, Lumin takes a deep sigh as he holsters his bow. Having landed a few good shots on the spirit, he was at least able to help somewhat when it came to taking it down...

Looking over to Kiastara, it would have seemed that half of Lumin's mask would have broken during the fight. Dangling down the side of his face.
"You okay, Kia? That was...umm..."

"Interesting."

Another look is given at the aftermath of the battle. Lumin honestly did not expect to be in a grueling battle with a giant monke spirit today, that was for sure.
"....No one...got seriously hurt, right?"

[21:15] Tea folds a hand over her eyes and watches the monkey explode into dust. What a spectacle.

"I, your old friend, am okay, Lumin. Thanks for asking."

[21:15] Blackjack says, "I heard this was a party, not an ambush..."
[21:15] Lumin Montclaire exclaims, "Oh, i was going to check up on you too!"
[21:15] She did her part, firing arrows of crystal from her bow towards the large spirit as it began its attacks. She was one string in a massive chorus of course, what with the many others attacking at it as well, but if one was to glace at her, they might notice beneath the mask the telltale sign of tears, streaming down the Teraphim's face even as she continued to fight.

She hated hurting spirits, even malicious ones.

Still, as the battle concluded she stopped, breathing heavily in exertion. Lumin's inquiry drew her attention to him, tear tracks quite visible.

"Y-yes, I'm okay. Its always terrible when the spirits grow angry, I despise having to help them rest in such a violent manner."

Tea's words just drew a snort.

"Of course you're okay, cousin, you're made of unbreakable will and claws."

[21:15] This was not a trip wasted. To see such a banana loving,Power wielding simian was such a sight. Such a thing truly brought a smile to her concealed face.

Such an amazing output of energy. Such dreadful might it held. Even when one consumed another the insanity of the situation did not become dull.

Overall. This was a great experience. If Yelp existed this place would be getting a five star review.

[21:16] Holy light lashes into the misery-laden spirit. How did they always manage to attract something that was terrible for their wellbeing, anyways? This time, though, it wasn't a strange thing that showed off it's brain and towered like a skyscraper over them.

It was a roided up chimp.

The monkey like cooing comes to her, though, as she soon turns-- witnessing her mother who would grab onto her hands.

"..?!"

And she was launched. Just like Basil had tossed her when she was ten years old, her mother joined in on the festivities and tossed her in the direction of the Big Chimp.

"Aaaaaaahhh…?! Ah?!"

Well, she's half way there to an ah-ah.

A suffocating smog of poison emits from her, and she practically solidifies it to lash through the likes of the spirit there, strangling off it's connection to this worled and dispatching it back into the next.

Suffice to say? It bursts into 'treats' for people as Parsley catches a pillar-like rock before dropping down to the ground harshly.

"...Party goes on however long you guys want," she huffs, dirt clinging to her features. "I'm beat, though."

[21:17] Estra stands back confused what really just happened. She jumped into battle hoping to help. Wanting to leave now, but... she should say goodbye to the two she talked with today.

[21:18] The fight was certainly something. And that something was absolute chaos.

Fire, lightning, wind and rock flew absolutely everywhere. The party had swiftly turned into a chaotic hellhole, where the attendees attempted to beat down first two, then one super-powered ape.

Erlen did his own thing, adding to the mix of spells with blasts of fire of his own. The boy kept floating back and forth, fighting with the others to the best of his ability.

After Parsley, with the assistance of her mother, had managed to strangle and suffocate the critter through poisonous smog, Erlen himself let out a short war-cry.

"Apes together strong!"

God that sounded stupid, afterwards.

[21:18] Azshara huffs before letting her quiet melody shut off completely as the acid recedes back into her body.

[21:19] Light and shadow dance upon his form in a holy union, flowing through his body with ease as he fires arrows of the light-- and of crystal, at the creature. A final strike is all that he needs, sending a shard of diamond directly into the spirit's heart before it seems to cope with such things by eating it's brother..

.. which is unsettling. On the bright side?

The two of them, Monkey Prime, was defeated just as easily. He giggles as he manages to pick up a physical form of the creature's maligned essence.

"..Haha! It's always a fun bash with Parsley~!" He giggles. "Things just go like, boom-bap-pow! Big scary monster!"

He remembers Girf. He still had the creature's feather....
