  3. Star Citizen Patch 3.8.0c
  4. Alpha Patch 3.8.0c has been released to Evocati, and is now available to test! Patch should now show: VERSION 3.8.0-PTU.3733366.
  6. It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\PTU.
  8. Database Persistence Wipe: NO
  10. The current build is under NDA
  12. Please monitor etf-megachat in spectrum for updates and testing instructions.
  14. UPDATED USER.cfg settings:
  15. r_displaySessionInfo = 1
  17. Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing. When those features reach a playable state they will be detailed on the notes and added to the "Testing Focus".

  20. Camera and Look ahead mode updates.
  21. General gameplay and traversal.
  22. Known Issues
  23. Personal transport beacons do not broadcast.
  24. There's a chance the elevators at Area18 and Lorville will not function as intended.
  25. Rest stops still have lingering texture issues.

  27. The Fortifier helmet has a fully opaque texture while in first person.

  34. There is a large impact/smoke effect covering the screen when mining a ship deposit.
  35. Recovery ship data recorder mission does not update on arrival.
  36. Body and room temperature elements appear on the HUD, but will not be part of the 3.8 release.
  37. Replaceme elements may appear on planetary surfaces.
  38. Players can spawn with blood loss that can't be healed and get stuck in a death loop.

  41. New Features
  42. Ships and Vehicles
  43. New "look ahead mode" functionality.
  44. Look ahead mode now has an "experimental" option that opens up additional functionality. In that mode, look ahead now looks into the ship's "velocity vector", look into turns, rolls into turns, and toward the horizon when near planetary surfaces, dynamically blending when appropriate. Head motion can also be impacted by g-forces to give an additional sense of motion. Each of these attributes can have their relative strengths adjusted in the settings menu.
  45. Added g-force induced head movement, the strength of which can be customized in the game settings.
