- Hello there,
- This pastebin will detail the way I have decided (at least for now) to handle my $9.99 (worth 2 subs) and $24.99 (worth 6 subs, yes it's the price of 5 but it gives 6) subscription tiers. For those of you not in the know, an extra emote slot is allotted to both the $9.99 tier and $24.99 tier subscriptions. These slots are completely separate from what you earn from the new sub emote unlock thresholds. For example, if a streamer has 134 subs they will have 10 emote slots + an extra 2 emotes (1 emote for each of the higher tiers). If someone subs with the $24.99 tier, they will have access to the $9.99 emote as well. Since these emotes are free slots, I've decided that I want to upload new emotes in an assembly line style.
- To elaborate, lets use where I currently stand at the time of this pastebin to give an example of how things will run. I currently have 11 emote slots that are filled, and am currently thinking of new emotes to have uploaded. Lets say time passes and I've decided on 2 emotes that I want to have, and they are now ready for upload. The 2 new emotes will occupy the $9.99 and $24.99 slots. To those willing to sub in either of the higher tiers, it will be more like an early access kind of thing. What I mean by that is whenever the next emote slot is unlocked, the following things will happen:
- -$9.99 emote is moved to $4.99 emote
- -$24.99 emote is moved to $9.99 emote
- -New emote will be moved to $24.99 emote (if there is a new/returning emote ready to be uploaded)
- I want to give this system a try for the following reasons:
- -Since the slots are freebies, I'd rather not let them go to waste
- -It gives something to those who decide to sub at a higher rate
- -Since higher tiers count for more subs it speeds up the process of unlocking more slots, allowing early access to become access for all subs
- Feel free to give me your thoughts/feedback on this idea, and thanks for reading. :)
