  1. Skye: Once Delith stated where she could put the piano between the first champagne room and last booth, she smiled at the women and nodded. Mentioning that she had to un-summon it till Dee found a permanent spot, she nodded again. "I will I promise." Taking note that the one that was called Logan had his eyebrow perked up as if he seemed interested in what she was about to do. Perhaps he'll listen during their game of questions while drinking. Turning on her heels, she went to that area with delight. Hearing that live music would be lovely, truly made her happy. Closing her gaze as she whispered old Gaelic words to summon the item. Soon appeared in a fading cascade an oak stand up piano. It was vintage and reminded her of the one she had growing up. ( https://www.pianocenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/29356-7.jpg ) Her emerald gaze had opened to pull the seat out then push it back in once she sat. Taking a deep breath, she'd place her slender yet long fingers upon the keys. As she pressed the first couple of keys, her hues shut once more. Letting the music over take her. She hadn't even told Dakota nor anyone else was she could sing too. Skye had preformed professionally for a little but it never went anywhere. "My lover's got humor. She's the giggle at a funeral, knows everybody's disapproval. I should've worshipped her sooner, if the heavens ever did speak, she's the last true mouthpiece. Every Sunday's getting more bleak, a fresh poison each week, we were born sick. You heard them say it, my church offers no absolutes. She tells me 'worship in the bedroom', the only Heaven I'll be sent to, is when I'm alone with you. I was born sick, but I love it, command me to be well." Her voice being soft and angelic. That was the only beginning. It was just a small starter before going onto the chorus. "Take me to church, I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies. I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife. Offer me that deathless death, gooooood god, let me give you my life. Take me to church. I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies. I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife, offer me that deathless death, gooooood god, let me give you my life!" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpxJRxa2tYk )

  3. Logan Devereux: The Kin has the grace to chuckle at the good-natured ribbing, merely shrugging one shoulder. He works with some real characters, no doubt about it. Spirits. Where would he have ended up without them or their common purpose? The answer Paddy provides elicits a few silent beats to process. In time Logan nods with a trimmed smile, almost a nonverbal apology of sorts. He'd suspected it might be touchy terrain but he's glad for the answer. "Fine selection. Evocative even. Straight outta Tennyson." He pours another drink, sipping more intermittently while turning some to watch Skye play. Goodness. That is one hauntingly capable set of pipes. The rest of his palm on Delith's thigh gives a warm little squeeze and slide. "It's no kalimba, but it does the job, don' it? Ah think we need a permanent fixture in that respect." Meaning the piano if not the current player. Though, as for that, ideally, both.

  5. Delith: Sorry love! the man is always so well-presented and suave and charming she needed to hear he could be as clumsy or foolish or foot-in-the-mouth prone as she. But what story he does tell? A-hah! Her hand comes over her grinning mouth. Oh god she could just imagine it. an eighty-six year old probably rendering him stunned and dare she imagine it? Blushing? The girl lowers her hand, grin beaming a moment before her lips purse and she kissed the pinch of index and thumb tip in a chefs kiss, dramatically bringing them away. "Beautiful." She snerks then glanced down the other end too. Oh that was a wonderful question! Also, did she need to drink there? Oops. As discreet as she could be Delith hunkered down and drained her glass empty at a trickle, attention keen on Patrick. Though that music began and she sat-up to take a peek around again. Ah, she knew that song! The slow version sounded better to her. The girl had lungs, too! A lean in and Delith was grinning at her friend. Heh, sweet. She could imagine him tumbling through the tender blades, red hair like loose ribbons. "Heh." Tiny, breathy chuckle popped out. She imaged they'd have been great friends if they'd ben kids in the same era, in better times. One leg started a bounce but the other remained still under that heavy and warm hand, Delith sliding her own over it and up his forearm a little in turn. "Wh-..." Kalimba? Clicked her tongue.

  7. Skye: As she continued to play till the end of the song, she opened her gaze to see that Logan, and Delith watching her play in awe. Blinking a few times before smiling at them all. Starting the next song and closed her irises once more. "There's courage, when you leave behind what you know. There’s courage, but someone has to stay at home, and I'm furious. That I still have your back while you're staggering away from me, I’m furious, but take what you need." The fragileness in her voice and soul. "Take care, please remember. There's an always open door. Come back for me, come back for me and take care, go and be that, that stupid man I know. Give your love away, then come back for me!" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGIekH5zyTo ) Having written this song when she gave a chance to someone she met before Dakota, years before. He did burn his freedom. Burned himself in front of her. He got rather depressed after being with that drunk girl at the bar he always went to. After he had burned himself, she decided at least till she met Kota that she wouldn't find love. The girls entire heart was in the song. Almost tears came streaming down as she sang and played the piano.

  9. Patrick: Despite the subject manner in which Logan had asked Delith about, he was interested to hear this answer as it was insight into something he would never be able to experience himself but he knew and was happy with that. He valued the woman far too much as a friend and a confidant to endanger such a relationship for simple physical pleasures and if she enjoyed it with others than he was happy she was happy. The way Logan would say it did draw a mixture of surprise, and even a twinge of disappointment from such crude terms as he would never speak about such things in a manner such as that but his speech about the hour drawing late did draw a nod of his head "I must agree that the time for myself to depart has come though I wish it did not my friends." He drew to the hooks to fetch his coat and slip it on before he would draw back over to those assembled, taking Delith's hand to kiss the top of it gently before he set it back down "Always a pleasure to speak and spend time with you my sweet Deli. You are a delight for the eyes and ears and I know you always will be." He looked to Logan with the smile and nodded his head "Thank you for always looking after her when I am not able to. I do great appreciate it each and every day you are around." He looked to Skye and gave her a small bow "And to you miss the music you have played has been wonderful tonight. Perhaps I shall get to know you soon enough when the time allows for me to do so. For now though, the night calls and I am afraid I must answer. Farewell." He drew to the door and slipped out into the cold night.

  11. Delith: "Logan!" Thwap! She smacks the back of her hand off his forearm and ducks her head down, hand over her face though she, too, was smiling. God sake, Berry. Her hand slowly lowers when mercy is shown. "M'hmn." Yes. connection. Logan sounding his bailing on the game Delith gives her watch a glance and winces. Ah, pretty late. "I should call it a night, yes." Spun and slipped off her stool, meeting Patrick with a rise of her brows. Ah. Oh my. Such gentlemanly like behavior and dressed as he was... Delith felt transported back to the past with him. All she needed was some kind of ballgown, corset and to be fanning herself. "And you, Paddy." Her smile warmed further. Ah he was being so sweet. She followed him to the door and grabbed her coat. "This was fun! Should do it again." Pulled on her jacket and wound her scarf around, hands tugging he boots up a little more up her thighs. "Ooh. Or truth-or-dare?" Temples her fingers and ripples the tips of one another with a villainous chuckle. "Mua ha ha." Yes is aware she'd probably get just as bad as she'd dish but it would be worth it. "Thank you for the music, Skye." She wouldn't mention perhaps offering her a job here - something to speak with Alan about first. Promptly Delith snagged Logans hand and gave it a small squeeze once he was ready to go, stepping out not far behind Patrick. "Don't need drinks to carry on, do we?" Gentle bump, cheek momentarily pressing to his arm as they drifted on into the street.
  12.
  13. Logan: Yep. Logan does not mince terms. At least, not when he's aiming specifically for that effect. It's funny how others romanticize it all. Nice too. Sweet even. But also kinda funny. He's been around too long to maintain a chaste glow of limned light around an urge as base as fucking. In Paddy's wake, and in the aftermath of the swat from the spirit gal he chortles and rumbles, "Ah do believe ah offended." He doesn't seem terribly apologetic. Indeed, he teases lightly, "Y'all are such terribly sweet, tend'ah thangs. Ah dunno what tah do with ya sometimes." He accompanies, though pauses at the piano to give Skye a nod and rumbled, "Thanks fah joinin' us, dah'lin. Yah play beautifully." It's a bit heavy on the emotional angle for him, but sheesh. That'd be a shock to no one. "Have a good evenin'." Then snags that offered hand in his own swallowing one to accompany his lover out into the frigid evening air. "Drinks?" he's audble replying. "No, mah dear. We need hot chocolate and some creamy desserts. Pure decadence, ah'm talkin'," he adds with a smoothing palm at his belly. Then they gone.

  15. Skye: Once the song was over, she smiled to herself. It had been some time since she sang that song. It showed some of her past that was painful to talk about. Song was the one way for her to express her emotions and her thoughts sometimes. Though her gaze went to Patrick when he bowed and told her that he would love to get to know her along with the playing was lovely. Before she could say anything in reply, he was already out the door. Her emerald hues grew soft. It was comforting that he told her that her playing was wonderful. Lifting her frame up and whispered another set of Gaelic words, soon the piano faded away. Hearing Delith thank her for the music, she nodded. "You're welcome. Honestly, it's been a pleasure, Delith. Thank you for letting me play." When Logan soon spoke up after, and told her it was also beautiful and thanked her for joining; she nodded. "Thank you. I greatly appreciate it." The moment she was the only one in the establishment, her gaze fell closed for a second. Taking in all the compliments before opening them again to head to her apartment. Opening the door and closing it behind her. Locking it before closing it and started her walk to her apartment. Humming to herself as she continued it. After a little while she arrived to her home. Unlocking the door, stepping inside and locked it behind her. It was a good night for her. Hopefully it would be just as good tomorrow.
