BACKGROUND :
 ◦ yeori was born in north korea, but she didn’t live there long; her family moved to seoul when she was three. her parents, who had been teachers in north korea, continued working in education, and eventually her dad became the principal of the academy she would later go to.
 ◦ since she was an only child, she was always the center of attention and quickly got used to it. she was always popular in school, although there were certainly people who disliked her and called her a communist for being from pyongyang. now, because her dad is the principal of the academy she attends, she‘s one of the queen bees.
 ◦ when she first came to the academy, yeori was best friends with the typical preps, but once she found they were talking shit about her behind her back, she dropped them and created a blog where she could talk shit about them. the blog quickly grew into a place where she exposed everyone’s nasty truths in the name of justice. over time, she recruited the other eight gossip girls to help her run it.

 ◦ INTIMIDATING. that being said, it’s hard to get into yeori’s friend group in the first place. she’s nice, but it’s the kind of nice where it’s hard to tell if she’s faking it or not, and truth be told, she often is. accordingly, she has a reputation for being fake to everyone except her group, and that makes her completely unapproachable.
 ◦ PROTECTIVE. yeori won’t fight anyone who talks crap about her girls, but she’ll gladly dig up something from their past and expose them in the blog. she’s not afraid of confrontation, especially if she’s trying to make sure her girls are okay. she’s protective in a totally petty and vengeful way.
 ◦ FAKE. she’s one of those people who are really nice to everyone but secretly hate a lot of people’s guts. you can’t really tell if she actually likes you or not, and she likes to keep it that way. only the gossip girls have her genuine love and affection, and she makes sure they know it.
 ◦ CONFIDENT. she knows what she’s doing, and she’s not afraid to say so! sure, she can be kind of bossy sometimes, but in her defense there’s no reason for people not to listen to her when she’s right. and she’s always right.

 ◦ RESPONSIBLE. he’s smart and always the voice of reason when his friends want to do something dumb. he likes to plan things out beforehand. sometimes he can get a little snappish or short-tempered, but he means well.
 ◦ PROTECTIVE. he’s a weird cross between the dad friend and the grandpa friend; he’s affectionate and would do anything for his boys because he just wants to keep everyone safe and happy. he feels responsible for them.

HOW YOU ACT AROUND HIM :
 ◦ beginning: after hearing a nasty rumor about him, she’s just trying to get close to him to expose his secrets, so she’s not worried about breaking his heart. around him, she ups her motherly act and is ridiculously sweet. she’s convinced that he has no idea she’s faking it.
 ◦ middle: because he’s being so nice to her, she starts to feel both guilty about deceiving him and frustrated that she still hasn’t found out anything. she starts flirting with him more obviously, trying to get closer to him, unknowingly gaining feelings for him in the process while they date.
 ◦ end: once she finds out his secret, albeit not from him, she knows she should be happy, but she starts feeling really bad for having lied to him, so she ends up telling him the truth. she stops being so sugary sweet and is just comfortable with him for a change.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOU :
 ◦ beginning: he’s not as oblivious as she clearly thinks, because he knows she’s not actually that nice. while he’s not sure of her affiliation with the gossip girls, he certainly has his suspicions, but he plays along anyway and is just as nice to her as she is to him.
 ◦ middle: he never initiates anything, but when she flirts, he flirts back. even though he’s still suspicious of her, he thinks she’s a good person at her core and doesn’t think she would ever do anything to really hurt him.
 ◦ end: he’s not angry when she tells him what she’s been doing, because he’s lied to her too. he tells her that, and since she cuts her sweet act, he cuts his too.

RELATIONSHIP TRIVIA :
 ◦ she doesn’t mind when he calls her “yo-yo” even if she doesn’t usually let anyone other than her parents do it. other than that, they don’t have nicknames for each other.

SUGGESTED SCENES :
 ◦ yeori is in the middle of proofreading the article the team’s written about chan when she decides to throw it out. she calls chan right then to tell him the truth about what she’s been doing. he laughs and says, “i know.”
 ◦ yeori and TIGHTROPE talk about stereotypes associated with being popular girls and having people hate them for it.
 ◦ THE OTHER SIDE and THE GREATEST SHOW are arguing, so yeori takes them out for ice cream and makes them talk it out until they make up.
 ◦ when yeori tells the other girls chan’s secret, they all ask her if she’s sure she wants to put it on the blog, because “you really like him, don’t you? don’t do something you’re going to regret.” she tells them to write the article anyway.
 ◦ THIS IS ME is openly upset about her family for once, and yeori goes into full mom mode.

ANYTHING ELSE?
 ◦ to clear it up, yeori is a stereotypical prep (fake, unapproachable, etc.); only to her friends is she fiercely protective and loving. i wasn’t sure if she was coming off as a mary sue or not, but while i was creating her i kind of wanted her to come off as a total bitch with a tiny soft spot for her babies.
 ◦ the whole relationship part probably looks a bit confusing - here’s what it is in a nutshell: she hears a rumor about him, she tries to get close to him in order to learn the truth, they date, she finds out his secret from someone else, she tells him the truth, they agree to start over. i figured that probably didn’t quite make sense with just the information the previous sections.
 ◦ i’m really excited for this af!!!! i’m sorry if i wrote too much (or too little?? idk what you were looking for??). i hope you like this form, and even if you don’t accept it, hopefully you at least had fun reading it. :)
