  1. This was not what he expected to see when he came all the way from London to demand an explanation from Chaldea for the sudden one year gap that happened, again.
  2.
  3. Were these really the heroes who saved it? More than once? Frankly, it seemed impossible.
  4.
  5. Before him, towering ominously in the cold and frigid breeze of Antartica stood a tower.
  6.
  7. A tower made of servants and humans, who all were precariously balanced in rather elaborate and uncomfortable looking positions.
  8.
  9. It's height was unfathomable, it reached above Chaldea and seemed like it made up of more servants than he'd ever seen at once.
  10.
  11. Looking at the tower's base was something that gave him pause, it was the Master Of Chaldea himself, Ritsuka Fujimaru; who was slouched over in defeat, with a dead look in their eyes and supporting a good bulk of the tower on their shoulders.
  12.
  13. How did they bear all this weight? It seemed like they didn't even feel it at all!
  14.
  15. He took a cautious step forward and attempted to approach the silent Master but was deterred when he felt the collective glare of the rest fall upon him.
  16.
  17. "Oi You!" Snarled a rather scary looking servant holding a plate of octopus, "Step away from the tower if you ain't joining it, if it falls we're all going to take it on you!"
  18.
  19. Thoroughly terrified he takes a step back and hastily attempts to recompose himself, "O-Of course, I'll be sure to be careful. I just need to ask your master a few questions, that's all."
  20.
  21. The terrifying servant glares before harrumphing and taking a bite of the octopus, "Well you ain't going to get anything out of Master, they're out of it right now. Something about GSSRs or something."
  22.
  23. She swallows her food before taking another one to eat, "So you'll have to talk to us, or at least the ones who aren't stuck in awkward positions."
  24.
  25. "So what do you want Magus? You're wasting my time."
  26.
  27. The Magus winces but carries on with a shaky voice, "What happened? It seemed like one moment everything was fine and the next all our experiments had gone to haywire. It was just in the clock tower, but the world as well."
  28.
  29. The servant merely shrugs, "The same as last time, there was a beast and we killed it. The details don't matter."
  30.
  31. Don't matter? It completely did! What did they fight? How in the world did they defeat it? Where are the people they sent to help with administration? All he saw was Goldorf, who was red-faced and sweating but supporting the tower right behind Fujimaru.
  32.
  33. "I see," he muttered, stowing away his questions for now it seemed like he would gain no answers until whatever they were doing finished, which lead to the next important question, "Then may I ask, what are you all doing? This looks ridiculous."
  34.
  35. "We're making a human tower," snorts the servant, "what does it look like? We wanted to snap Master out of it at first, but then decided to see how far we con go before we had to stop. Currently, we have a few servants still climbing up the tower and adjusting themselves, but we're running out of people, so we need you to join us."
  36.
  37. "Wh-what?"
  38.
  39. "You heard me," the servant glares throwing the octopus at his face, "start climbing or I'll burn you alive."
  40.
  41. "A-Alright," he stutters, before taking a deep breath to steady himself and beginning his trek to climb to the top of the human tower.
  42.
  43. Why did he have to do this?
  44.
  45. What did he do wrong?
  46.
  47. He was only an inspector.
  48.
  49. He was completely innocent.
