  1. Hello Mark!
  2.
  3. It seemed uncomfortable to me trying to squeeze my thoughts into a twit, so I'd like to write here.
  4.
  5. Looks like there are two ways, for quality and for speed. Knowing Blizzard standards, I presume that they might choose a long path to quality. And abandon the project when the market would seem overflown :)
  6.
  7. Either they choose the old client (which works fine, but could use some x64 magic) or adapt the new one, both paths might be treacherous.
  8. Judging from the developer posts over the years, many were things changed, starting from graphics to how character inventory is handled on server (they said it used to be a single linear array of values, both for the toon and its bags, which had something to do with server productivity and disallowed some modern functions).
  9. Also it can be seen, that even in WotLK each realm was not composed from just one server. I remember the issues when the part supporting Northrend was down, anyone who wanted to visit it would disconnect the moment they stepped on its soil, yet those who remained on the other continents or even in Dalaran would still play fine.
  10.
  11. Anyway, here's what I would want to see in an IDEAL situation:
  12.
  13. 1. Updated graphics. Maybe with the new Legion animations. Modern x64 client.
  14. Although the new models have differences from the old ones. At the start they've released human women with no make up. After a huge community uproar it was fixed.
  15. 2. An option to transfer back to the live realms.
  16. A guild-wide quest, a legendary chain which would allow a guild to ask bronze dragons to send them into the future after beating all the content. If anyone would actually want to travel further than TBC...
  17. 3. Use the modern tech.
  18. Using some phasing for the quests when NPCs have to leave their positions and perform a scripted scene. Actually it seemed to be implemented in some places in late WotLK, like the escort quest in Darkshore.
  19. Battle for Darrowshire quest has to be a bit reworked too, I remember this raid-worthy battle being completely broken in WotLK.
  20. 4. Finish the unfinished. Or delete it.
  21. There were some oversights in Vanilla locations. For example, in Azshara there was a quest where the player has to help a bunch of NPCs who survived a shipwreck to fight off waves of nagas. Unfortunately, the quest chain is unfinished, and the NPCs just let you repeat the quest indefinitely with no reward. I suppose it was intended to meet them in various parts of the world afterwards.
  22. 5. Some modern UI.
  23. In-game watches. Auction UI. Guild calendar.
  24. 6. Something new!
  25. WoW - a parallel universe!
  26. "Vanilla WoW" was nice. TBC was nice too. WotLK already changed the system to badge farming and other.. things. Actually it all began in late TBC.
  27. Remaking the expansions again with Vanilla and TBC values in mind. Because even Kungen won't stay in the old Naxx forever.
  28. Quite bizarre idea, I know.
  29.
  30. To be honest, I always thought that Blizzard would end WoW somewhere after cata and re-release the whole game as a single-player adventure to compete with TES series. Kingdoms of Amalur can be example of such a game. I'm somehow glad to be wrong.
  31.
  32. Best regard,
  33. CNinjy
