The further adventures of Stanley Ipkiss and his magic reality defying mask.
In Edge City, Stanley Ipkiss tries to live a normal life, but the ever-present magic Mask of Loki in his possession has other plans. Now, whenever there is evil or Stanley is in danger or annoyed, he cannot resist donning the artifact to become The Mask, a manic superhero unbounded by anything, including physical reality. Against various villains who scheme against the city or try to gain the Mask of Loki for themselves, The Mask is not just powerful, he's smokin.
Wow while I am writing this review I am having glimpses of this show in my mind....This was truly a rocking series right from the theme song till the end(Too bad they changed the theme song after the first season)...I still remember watching The Mask movie in my cousin's house & went completely crazy & again went to the movie with my Dad(Indian releases in theaters are late)& after that this series started...I used to come running from school to watch this show weekdays at 4 to watch it on Cartoon Network ....This show was damn funny.Many episodes are memorable to me.I wish they would release this on DVD...I will buy it with whatever money I have now(I am still studying)...Somebody Stop Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee...Smokinnnn
Definitely one of the best of 90&#39;s along with shows like The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest.<br/><br/>The Mask was a cartoon of different domain, especially since it was a shoot off form the hilarious movie with the same title, starring Jim Carey.<br/><br/>Almost all of the time, such projects never live up to expectations, but boy, this one proved to be such a different story!<br/><br/>Enter a gem of a show, intelligent, funny and original. Superb voice characterization and animation. The daily trials and tribulation Stanley Ipkis in a modern industrial city is so life like, and his walk on the wile side as the Mask is something we all wish we could do.<br/><br/>Some how this show will appeal more to adults than to children.<br/><br/>A must see.
