The first knows that he wants beer, but says he doesn't know because he doesn't know about the other two. If he didn't want beer, he would know that *everyone* doesn't want beer, and would have said no.

Same for the second.

The third then realizes that because both of the last two didn't say that everyone doesn't want beer, they both want beer, and he does too, so therefore everyone does.
