Chapter 2

“God, walking to this building took forever…” you say as you finally arrive at the hug black building, “my feet are so sore, I need to find an entrance.” You walk around the building and notice something wrong, there is no entrance, or even windows. You continue walking around the building and notice a brown shape beneath the sand, so you walk over to the shape and pick it up to find out it’s a book, looks like a very old one too, you try to read the title, but you don’t recognise the language, so you decide to open up to one of the pages only to see numerous writings and diagrams you barely understand about a machine, something tells you that you shouldn’t be reading the book but you take it and walk alongside the building again in the hopes of finding some semblance of an entrance, or at least someone to talk too.

The desert wind begins to roar with sand beginning to fly everywhere, “wh-what’s happening,” you say looking back and forth as your vision becomes dark, “I—don’t feel so good---" as your legs begin to fail you, you drop to the sand with the ever increasing noise of the wind continues.

“So… cold” you dazely say as you open your eyes, only to notice you are surround in white powder, “w-where am I?” You stand up and look around only to see the building is gone, and there is nothing but white, white on trees, the ground, even coming from the sky. You begin to start shaking uncontrollably as your skin begins to feel cold, you begin to walk in a random direction in the hopes to find something, which to your surprise, you find a small igloo close by and you walk to it.

“H-hello?” you say expecting a response, and as expected you get none, “please I, I don’t know where I am” you desperately call, you wait a few minutes and ultimately determine that no one is in there so you turn around and start to head back until you hear “come in” from behind you but when you turn around all you see is a black figure at the entrance of the igloo, “t-thank you but who ar-“ you started to say but the figure cuts you off and sharply says “it doesn’t matter who I am, just come in,” you watch the black figure head inside and you follow it inside to see a nicely decorated room with a fire going that immediately subsides the cold.

The black figure hands you a hot cup and you stare at it, “it’s just tea, drink it” the figure demands, so you follow through and drink it, “it’s nice and warm, thank you but wh-“ “don’t question me” the figure says cutting you off again sending the room into silence for minuets when suddenly the black figure swiftly turns around and says “give me the book,” “what book?” you reply, “the book in your hand, I can see it, its covered in snow,” you look down to see the book in your hands and hand it over to the figure, the figure opens the book and begins to stare at the book as it mutters something, “hey what did you sa-“ “shut up and stay quiet, I’m reading here” the figure cuts you off, once again.

Minutes of silence pass as the figure reads the book when it looks over to you and says “you look tired, as expected” she points to a nearby door and says “go over there, there’s a bed you can sleep in,” you look at the door and walk over to it and open it to find a seemingly comfy bed to sleep in, which you proceed to hop into and head off to sleep.
