I wonder how far I can get
With all of this that I rent
Ma's got her cabinet full
And I can't hold on anymore
I wear the wig of distrust
For all of this that I must
I laze on through the day
Living this life dry

I can't seem to find a way
The taxman's always after me
Pay my debt to society
When I laze on through the years
Taking a sip of my own tears
With a friend to share my pain
I listened to him, he listened to me
All the same as we lazed on
Through the hours
Living this day free
And that is how it's meant to be

I think I might have been for sure
Then a drop hits the mire
I am such becoming a liar
Lazing on my bed to weep
Thinking of the stories I tell
All too painfully deep
As I laze with the rock
Telling me how to talk
Dreaming the fantasies so true
In my life of rest
In my life of debt
In my hour of need
In my hour to feed
I am just lazing on
