the medieval time could be classed as doom and gloom as there were many tax increases and people could be sentenced to death this means that by continuously not paying your tax you could be sent to prison and if you committed a serious crime or committed as repetitive crime you could be sentenced to death, these are some examples: Poaching, murder, rebellion.this shows that this was not a good time for poor people as if they do not pay there taxes repetitively they could be hung or sentenced to there death.

the medieval time could not be classed as doom and gloom as there were flowering arts literature architecture and other cultural realms this meant that people were still learning new things  and were not all uneducated and dis agreeing people this also shows that people were quite social / and not isolated as they could teach other people and managed to grasp at least a small amount of education
