  1. #1 Initial lack of exclusionary voting system
  2.
  3. The initial vote did not create a fair binary option to keep the name the same, and to not change the rules. The choices were limited and forced those wanting such a binary to either:
  4. A. Potentially tarnish the name of the category if the rule change goes through (NO name change, NO rule change)
  5. B. Limit the potential impact of the vote tarnishing the category referred to as No IM/WW (yes/no or no/yes)
  6.
  7. Without a method to produce an if/then regarding if the rule change goes through, change name- and vice versa, impacts the trend towards changing the name in a disproportionate way. The impact of this lack of consensus regarding the name comes through in the need for a new vote.
  8.
  9. #2 Introduction of a New Variable without Addressing the Aforementioned
  10.
  11. Having a new vote while controversial in many senses is in fact probably a great idea in this context- but going forward with the vote by introducing a new variable without addressing the previous flaws is scientifically invalid and intellectually dishonest. These are the main two points relevant to how the vote was carried out. I hope you can see the potential for a damage-control, binary vote (again- a yes/no or no/yes) that remains unaddressed in this new vote.
  12.
  13. Proposed Solution:
  14. This one simple step is my proposed solution- instead of introducing a new variable (EGR), simply have a re-vote regarding the name change ALONE without the rule change ("Should be change the name from No IM/WW: Yes/No"). This removes the binary bias returning the vote to fair status. An alternative I'd support would be just adding "No IM/WW" to the voting list (does not directly address binary bias but will likely have the same outcome without having a potential 3rd vote).
  15.
  16. P.S.
  17. As an addendum, it is important to note that factually death warps and death warps on blue warps utilize fundamentally different routines in order to achieve their desired effect, putting the game in differing states between the two. This can be visually exemplified by the "White Flash" that is unique to Wrong Warps. Just because the entrance used happens to point to the same place as a death warp, does not mean this routine did not occur. While this is factual, it's perhaps beating a dead horse.
  18.
  19. tl;dr Add No IM/WW into the voting options and restart, or even better have a re-vote without the potential bias of a rule change (muddying the waters) over if the name should change at all instead.

  21. I hope my input is helpful in the pursuit of honesty and fairness. Please feel free to direct any questions or critique regarding this document to me on twitter (@Perpetucake, DM's open) or discord (cake
