- 4/6/24-4/8/24 Update, day 773-775 of Russian invasion.
- Belarus/Western Border:
- Currently there are some 500 trucks waiting in queue at 3 checkpoints from Poland, following PL farmer protest actions.
- UA has reportedly found alternative transport solutions if the Polish border blockages persist, chiefly via the Danube and Romania/Moldova.
- Additional wreckage of an RU Geran-2 drone was found some 500 m inside Moldovan territory.
- The EU will likely renew some free trade exemptions for UA, with tariffs reintroduced on some UA agricultural exports if they exceed the average annual amount over the last 3 years.
- Kyiv/Central Ukraine:
- RU launched 32 drones and 6 missiles on friday, of which 28 drones and 3 missiles were intercepted.
- RU launched 24 Shaheds overnight, primarily targeting SW Ukraine. 17/24 were shot down.
- Per Zelensky, currently UA has inadequate munitions to launch a counteroffensive, and is using drones as an alternative on some defensive fronts.
- The UA Army commander, Oleksadnr Pavlyuk, called on UA citizens to mobilize to the military, highlighting a number of non-combat related vacancies.
- Approximately 80% of UA coal power plants were attacked by RU missiles thus far. UA's minister of energy stated that the goal is to build hundreds of smaller, decentralized power plants to protect against RU missile strikes in the upcoming winter. UA hopes that 50% of damaged power stations will be restored by winter, assuming no further attacks.
- An SBU driver was arrested following pushing a teenager through a glass window in downtown Kyiv, which cut the boys neck and killed him.
- UA hacker group "BlackJack" targeted the RU cloud storage service Owencloud, deleting some 300 TB of data primarily used by the RU military, oil and gas, and other industrial companies.
- The UA MoD created an auditing committee, which includes NATO representatives.
- UA reported some 535,000 internally displaced persons received automatic extensions of benefits.
- The ZSU is investigating the apparent punitive mobilization summons of an investigative journalist. UA journalists working on the national joint newscast will receive mobilization deferment.
- Approximately 26% of UA territory (156,000 square km/ the size of Greece or Switzerland) is currently contaminated by UXO.
- UA removed punitive jail sentences for evading mobilization, and replaced them with increased fines
- Northeast Ukraine/Kharkiv city:
- RU claimed to have intercepted long range MLRS fire over Belgorod.
- Footage appearing to show GUR privately-purchased blackhawk helicopters operating in Belgorod oblast came out this weekend.
- RU fired S-300 into Kharkiv, hitting the industrial zone. On April 7th, UA intercepted 17/17 Shahed in E Ukraine.
- Mandatory evacuation of the RU border region in Kharkiv oblast may be carried out for families with children.
- 6 people were killed during an RU missile strike on Friday, following double-tap strikes killing emergency responders.
- Some 410,000 people were subject to blackouts today in Kharkiv oblast, and unknown saboteurs stopped gas supply to 14,700 people in 9 settlements.
- A former local elected official was arrested in Sumy for providing airstrike targets to the FSB.
- RU drones hit high voltage lines around Kharkiv city.
- Kupyansk/Lyman:
- RU did not launch any attacks towards Kupyansk over the last day.
- RU launched 2 attacks towards Terny.
- UA launched cluster strikes on the highway from Kreminna supplying RU forces in this region.
- A "Tsar Tank" with a huge number of EW stations on top was disabled by UA drones during an attack W of Kreminna, and was subsequently captured by UA forces a few days later.
- Kramatorsk/Bakhmut:
- There is currently a forest burning for 3 days straight near Severodonetsk, and RU occupation authorities appear unable or unwilling to extinguish it.
- RU increased its activity near bakhmut, launching 31 attacks over the past day.
- An RU mechanized assault was stopped just on the eastern edge of Kanal, the Chasiv yar suburb. RU is heavily using glide bombs in this direction, as well as MLRS fire towards Klischiivka as it seeks to gain advantage.
- UA soldiers note the volume of RU CS gas attacks has increased in this area, primarily to flush UA troops out of defensive fortifications by dropping K-51 grenades.
- UA has continued drone strikes in E Bakhmut on RU logistics vehicles.
- The UA citizen accused of spotting for the RU missile strike on a pizzeria in Kramatorsk which killed 13 and wounded 61, was sentenced to life imprisonment.
- Avdiivka/Pokrovsk:
- RU launched 8 attacks W of Avdiivka in the past day, primarily to the SW near Nevelske and Pervomaiske.
- Budanov stated that RU will likely increase its offensive activities this summer, towards Pokrovsk. He commented that the Czech artillery ammo has not "had its presence felt" at the front.
- Donetsk city/Occupied regions:
- RU launched 22 attacks SW of Marinka towards Novomykhailvka over the past day.
- Zaporizhia/Southern Axis:
- Over the last day RU launched 357 strikes on 8 settlements in Zaporizhia, of which 276 were artillery and 62 were drones.
- RU launched 5 assaults across the southern front in the past day.
- The IAEA reported that RU troops shot down a drone over the ZNPP, lightly damaging a roof on reactor #6. They also noted RU troops appeared to have been hit around military vehicles on the plant grounds, and that there is currently no signs of damage to nuclear safety systems.
- RU is apparently continuing to heavily conscript locals between 18-30 in Zaporizhia, with pre-registration being instituted for high school students as young as 15.
- New unit markings of "Two O's" have been noted on RU vehicles moving along the southern coast.
- Kherson:
- RU increased its operations near Krynky, launching 8 assaults.
- Video footage appears to show RU execution of 3 UA POW near Krynky.
- RU strikes in Kherson oblast set fire to the Daryevsk village, giving some 10 people smoke inhalation injuries' that required hospitalization.
- RU continues to use drones to attack across the river, wounding a 63 year old man in Beryslav.
- Odessa/Black Sea/Crimea
- One RU ship capable of launching 4 Kalibr missiles is out of harbor in the Black sea.
- RU launched drones towards Odesa overnight, with 4 intercepted and at least one hitting a logistics factory.
- RU launched a ballistic missile towards Odesa, hitting the port and injuring a worker.
- UA partisans recorded the movement of RU SPG's headed towards Dzankhoi. 2 RU recon drones were shot down over the black sea.
- Some 36 million tons of goods have been exported from UA via the maritime corridor since August of last year.
- Russia:
- An RU Missile Corvette "Surpukhov" of the Buryan-M class caught fire at the RU Baltic fleet naval base in Kaliningrad. UA is claiming this was a GUR operation.
- The RU Mayor of Orenburg, population 540k, has called for an evacuation following major floods in Orsk. This comes after a second dam burst and water levels continue to rise. A state of emergency has been declared.
- A pipeline in Rostov Oblast exploded over the weekend, which was used to pump oil products to RU ports on the Sea of Azov.
- The RU Duma reported there is a shortage of 30,000 physicians in the country, and about 50% staffing shortages in some regional hospitals. In order to fill this shortfall, RU is reportedly recruiting physicians from african countries without checking their qualifications.
- RU is reportedly sourcing satellite imagery from China.
- There was apparently an unsuccessful UA drone attack on major airbases in RU over the last week.
- Reuters estimates that 14% of RU oil refining capability has been knocked offline by UA strikes.
- General:
- Over the last day UA forces conducted 20 airstrikes and RU forces conducted 79 air strikes (including drones), and 61 MLRS strikes.

- French company KNDS France intends to increase the production of Caesar SPG's, from 6 to 12/month.
- Denmark has allocated 5.8 million Euros to restore the UA energy grid following RU attacks.
- UA students in Estonia are offered free scholarships in veterinary medicine and natural resource conservation.
- Per the Washington Post, Trump's proposed "peace in a day" plan for UA involves forcing UA to cede Crimea and the Donbas in the face of threats to rescind US and NATO support.
- Zelensky reportedly plans to visit South Africa to discuss stronger trade relations.
- International partners have allocated over $700 million USD in humanitarian demining funds until 2027.
- Estonia has allegedly found an additional million MLRS shells for UA, at the cost of 2-3 billion euros, if the funds are provided.
- NATO general secretary Jens Stoltenberg is confident that NATO will create a 100 billion euro fund for UA by July, both to demonstrate to RU that support is not waning, and to provide alternatives if the US elections lead to a loss in support. UA Foreign affairs minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed his doubts such an option is plausible in the near future.
