She never sought help,as she thought that the rather religous town she grew up in would go ballistic. On her 18th birthday,when she awoke,she wasn't in her bed,but rather in a rather small,cramped room.

Upon looking out the window,she saw nothig,just nothing but an endless void unwrapped right infront of her very eyes. When she thought things couldn't surprise her any longer,she felt a hand gently run down her back,but.

As it left her body,she fell to the ground as millions of volts was sent into her body,her skin turning a charcol black,one of her eyes completely melting in its socking,gluing it SHUT.

Her body should've been nothing but a burnt corpse,hell. Some might even think she should've just been a mess all over the wooden floors,but. As she shadowy figure loomed above her,she only heard these few words before blacking out.

Heart of the Storm: Passed down from person to person,this ability allows the user control over thunder and lightning itself,and Maya. Only having her gift for a few short years,has found some basic applications for it

Static Waltz: By wrapping her feet in eletricity Maya can walk on seemingly any surface,even the air itself. Though it is limited to only walking.

Thunderforce: A punch that can be thrown with the speed and destructive force of a lighining bolt.

Discharge: All the power inside her body is released in a massive explosion,obliterating almost anything in her path,though doing so drains her of her abilities for an entire 24 hours,and badly damages the user. Only used when needed!
