Dream 03/02/19

So, the dream started off in a house very similar to mine but it hsd this almost space colony look going on, with prefab modules and all. It was nighttime, and there were no stars because of a thick layer of smoke up in the sky - which explained me wearing a gas mask and having a few more at home. I had just come home from some kind of job dealing with computers when I noticed something was really wrong, because I was alone and my computer was booting up before I even came close to it and it opened some RPGMaker looking program I was using to make a game of some kind...but when I got closer, I realized it was all really, really corrupted. It had the whole course too, missing sprites, weird AI behavior,sounds that were cut off, you nane it. I guess I had some kind of neural jack, because what happened next was -inside- the game proper.
If I had to guess, it was basically just your average RPG but in a dark, odd postapocalypic world where the glitches were basically just a sign that the world was on the verge of death. They...were like ghosts, I guess? There was only a single character at first that had to escape somewhere that had the same layout as my house, and touching most of the glitched monsters was just an instagib. Took me a few tries (one kind was really annoying and fast) but I escaped eventually, leaving the starting area behind and started walking around some streets. What was confusing is that there was something keeping me hooked up to the game, because I couldn't ckose it out at all but I still could add stuff into it by editing the data in another window. After enabling cheats to make my life easier, I heard an angry scream right behind my character and a glowing, burning corpse of a girl started chasing me. Cheeky bastard turned my cheats off and got me.
After a brief jumpscare, I had to play the game from its beginning once more do there I went. Got an assistant and fought my first battle...which was literally just a shameless rip off of Chrono Trigger's combat style. Got another assistant and then I was face to face with the burning girl. After more screaming, I managed to leave the game and destroyed the computer with a shotgun (I think) by repeatedly bashing its stock against the computer.
Things got weird because I heard this staticy scream outside and bolted to my room to get prepared, which mostly just meant throwing on some tough clothing, body armor, knee/elbow guards and this really cool helmet I kept referring to as a "Brigador helmet" when in truth it had much more in common with Doomguy's helmet. Obviously, I picked up another, much larger tan shotgun and loaded it up before stuffing some kind of pistol in my pocket. I turned the helmet's display on and basically cleared my house with no incidents, until I blew open the main door. The burning girl was there. After a cheesy one-liner and two shots, she was all but gone and I got into a car to leave.
Again, I kinda blacked out and was in some kind of space ship with two kinda creepy twins eyeing me and ordering me to remove my helmet. I told them to "leave my Brigador helmet out of this", which just meant the female twin removed it herself while the other one accused of destroying state property. They then said they were going to dump me somewhere so i could be productive while they decided my punishment. I was instantly transported to a shittier São Paulo, still in my body armor but without the helmet and shotgun. Then I was kinda forced to see a movie and relax, which might mean a big brother sort of government was a thing. I met an old friend going through the same punishment as me, and we figured we's stick together. We talked a lot then watched the movie and left.
Then I was running around and stalking some people, including a very attractive redhead that actually liked my style and even invited me into her home. No idea what happened next, but..yeah. Jiggle.
I wound up getting in a firefight too after some punks thought they could just steal my gear, which rhey did by giving them plenty of buckshot. I went all Solid Snake at one point, crawling around, hiding in boxes and all. Turns out they worshipped the burning girl as a messenger of god...yeah. The dream sorta drew to a close as I hacked her and deleted all of her core files.
