[00:39] * Rapey_Lemons clears his throat
[00:39] <Rapey_Lemons> You’re 17 and you’re about to graduate from high school. School’s basically ended already. The only seniors still going to school are the poor suckers who still have to take the finals.
[00:40] <Rapey_Lemons> Luckily, you managed to barely avoid taking the finals despite your average grades due to a combination of sheer luck and teachers liking you. Unfortunately, you’re now stuck in a swelteringly hot car with your two parents as they drive you to a certain popular tourist attraction—a zoo safari park.
[00:40] <Rapey_Lemons> The radio is on some news channel, your father listening intently as the report speaks.
[00:40] <Rapey_Lemons> “...the interdimensional war with the creatures known as Angels is still at a stalemate, the troops guarding the portal from both sides.
[00:40] <Rapey_Lemons> In other news…”
[00:40] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father sighs, shaking his head, and shuts the radio off. “Another pointless war,” he mutters to himself. “Didn’t we learn anything from Iraq?”
[00:41] <Rapey_Lemons> He seems glum for another moment before he brightens up and looks at you through the rearview mirror.
[00:41] <Rapey_Lemons> “You excited, Beth?” he asks. “You’re about to go to college soon. Won’t that be fun?”
[00:42] <Liz> "Yeah......Teachers are still kinda bummed I'm going for a art degree though..."
[00:42] <Rapey_Lemons> "Who cares what they think?" your mother says, turning around in her seat to look at you. "Come on, cheer up!"
[00:44] <Liz> "Nah, I don't care too much, but hearing them complain all the time is a hassle y'know?"
[00:45] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father nods understandingly. "I understand. I've been in similar situations myself. For example, your mother keeps nagging me about how I spent my money on the museum—"
[00:45] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother punches him in the shoulder, making him laugh out loud.
[00:45] <Rapey_Lemons> "Anyways, art has a lot of applications today," your father says as he begins speaking. "Why, I have a couple of friends who are digital artists and they make a decent living..."
[00:45] <Rapey_Lemons> You arrive after what seems to be an eternity of being stuck in traffic. The parking is relatively quick, your parents luckily finding a parking spot nearly immediately due to a family leaving as you arrived.
[00:46] <Rapey_Lemons> “Well, we’re finally here!” your father exclaims, a grin on his face as he takes the keys out of the ignition and hops out of the car. “Where do you guys want to go first?”
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> "Let's just go inside first," your mother says. "We can decide there."
[00:48] <Liz> "I'm good for whatevers..."
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> You enter the safari park. Your parents, luckily enough, had enough foresight this time around to buy a ticket online and print it out beforehand, allowing you three to bypass the long line to the ticket counter.
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother unfolds the map she picked up from somewhere.
[00:48] <Rapey_Lemons> “So, Beth, where would you like to go first?”

[00:49] <Liz> "Hmmmmmm, why don't we go check out the Asian Savanna?"
[00:49] <Rapey_Lemons> As you’re looking at the map, your father also pulls out his own map. “I think we should go see the safari park first. Looks like there’s a tram of some sort that gives us a tour around the park.”
[00:50] <Rapey_Lemons> "How does that sound, Beth?"
[00:50] <Rapey_Lemons> "The tram goes by the Asian Savannah."
[00:50] <Liz> "Sure why not?"

[00:54] <Rapey_Lemons> But you notice that the hotdog stand seems off, somehow. Perhaps it has a paintjob that doesn't quite match the other hotdog stands, despite all of them belonging to the zoo.
[00:55] <Rapey_Lemons> Either way, you aren't 100% sure but there is something off about it.
[00:56] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother rolls her eyes and laughs. “Liz, you can go get one. But Jerry, we just got here. You’re going to get fat if you keep eating like that.”
[00:56] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father grins and flexes, his lean yet muscled physique faintly visible beneath his shirt. He’s had a great deal of free time after winning the lottery and buying that museum.
[00:56] <Rapey_Lemons> She smirks and walks up to your father, wrapping her arms around him as she gazes seductively into his eyes. “Mmm,” she murmurs, sliding her hands down his body.
[00:56] <Rapey_Lemons> Oh god, it’s happening again.
[00:57] <Liz> "I'm....just gonna go buy the food...."
[00:58] <Rapey_Lemons> A few seconds later they collapse into a fit of laughter, barely able to hold each other upright as they share a private joke. Your father wipes the tears of laughter from his eyes and goes to buy a hotdog anyway."
[00:58] <Rapey_Lemons> You successfully buy your hotdog, with katsup and relish.
[00:59] <Rapey_Lemons> Your family gets distracted by the petting zoo along the way. By the time you get to the waiting line for the safari tram, the sun is beating down on you from above and beginning to make you sweat. The fans that blow out misty water from above do little to prevent you from beginning to overheat.
[01:00] * Liz concentrates on the Gem of the Morning to move all of the spritz towards her
[01:01] <Rapey_Lemons> You do so succesfully, the people near you frowning a little as they try to position themselves in the oddly-moving spray.

[01:02] <Rapey_Lemons> Nothing really seems out of the ordinary as you finally board the tram. The person on the intercom begins speaking, introducing the safari park and all of its inhabitants.

[01:03] <Rapey_Lemons> The person on the intercom sounds a little tired, her voice strained despite its peppiness.
[01:03] <Rapey_Lemons> The tram rumbles on. A few of the animals in the park turn toward the noise, but most of them lie there, disinterested. The passengers around you incessantly snap pictures, a few of them standing up and pointing their iPads at the animals.
[01:04] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents are sitting in the car in front of you. There wasn't any space left, so you had to take another seat in the car behind them.
[01:04] <Rapey_Lemons> Two rather large people are sitting next to you.
[01:04] <Rapey_Lemons> You’re halfway through the trip, in the middle of the safari park, when a sudden movement in the corner of your eye catches your attention.

[01:44] <Rapey_Lemons> The rhino reacts faster than you do, beginning its charge. But it suddenly veers off-course, running to another cart and slamming into it.

[01:45] <Rapey_Lemons> The passengers have all gotten off by now, the crowd scattering as it flees from the rhino.
[01:45] <Rapey_Lemons> The rhino is currently engrossed in tippin all the carts over.
[01:45] <Rapey_Lemons> your move
[01:45] <Liz> "Aaaaannnnd that's my cue to get the fuck out of here."
[01:46] * Liz runs with the crowd.
[01:46] <Rapey_Lemons> You successfully do so. Where are you headed toward? You still have the map.

[01:51] <Rapey_Lemons> You turn to do so, but you suddenly hear screaming coming from somewhere near the front of the car. And on that note, where are your parents?
[01:51] <Liz> "Fuck that Rino, fuck this Savanna, I'm getting out of here. Plants aren't dangerous right?"
[01:51] <Liz> ".....They didn't run? Goddamnit."
[01:53] * Liz sprints back to the overturned cars.
[01:55] <Rapey_Lemons> As you run back toward the tram, you see two figures standing near the front, a third figure on the ground, and a fourth figure standing over the third.
[01:55] * Liz tries to make out who the people are.
[01:56] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father has grabbed a large stick from somewhere and is cautiously holding it out in front of him, while your mother has a sharped rock and is taking careful aim at this... thing. A man lies on the ground, groaning and bleeding from multiple cuts.
[01:56] <Rapey_Lemons> The thing whips the man on the ground, inciting another scream as your parents flinch.
[01:56] <Rapey_Lemons> As you get closer you see a... person? No, not a person anymore.
[01:57] <Rapey_Lemons> It's waving two tentacles around, fleshy and edged with shards of bone. The not-human has a deformed face, his eye sockets bulging out, forhead protruding, and jaw hanging loose.
[01:58] <Rapey_Lemons> The uniform on it is tattered, the shoes ripped through by claws.
[01:58] * Liz slaps herself a bit, "Not the time for that."
[01:58] <Rapey_Lemons> You realize that this person used to be the person on the intercom. The ruined safari park uniform hangs limply on her frame.

[02:06] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents are confused, backing off as they see something fast fly past their vision.

[02:12] <Rapey_Lemons> The sphere of water hits true, ripping through the thing's head as it paints the side of the car with its brains. The body collapses limbly to the ground, on top of the groaning and bleeding man. Your parents drag the dead body off without hesitation, immediately attempting to give the man first aid.
[02:13] <Liz> "Boom! Headshot!"
[02:13] <Rapey_Lemons> Fortunately that are able to stem the bleeding, the cuts rather shallow as it seems that the thing was playing with its food.
[02:13] * Liz walks over to her parents, "You guys okay?"
[02:14] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father turns his head toward you, looking at the thing on your armor and putting two and two together.
[02:14] <Rapey_Lemons> "Wow."
[02:14] <Rapey_Lemons> "You did that"
[02:14] <Rapey_Lemons> ?*
[02:15] <Liz> "It's a long story....."
[02:16] <Rapey_Lemons> "Right," your father says. "We need to get out of here. How's the guy doing, Cat?"
[02:16] <Rapey_Lemons> "He's breathing," your mother responds, wiping the blood off her hands. "He should be fine for now."
[02:17] <Rapey_Lemons> "But we need to get out of here."
[02:17] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father looks at the first car wonderingly. "Hey Beth, think I could drive us out of here?"
[02:18] <Liz> "If it gets us away from the Rinos and that.....thing....Then PLEASE do."
[02:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "Leave to me," he says with a grin. He begins to cimb onto the tram. Luckily, the overturned cars decoupled from the rest of the tram when the rhino flipped them.

[02:23] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother is too busy finding a way to bring the now unconscious man onto the car, while your father is too engrossed in looking over the controls. None of you notice as the rhino slams into the car at 40 miles per hour, the car flipping over and crushing the unfortunate man on the ground. Your mother is hit by the car and is knocked backward, landing akwardly on her shoulder, while your father
[02:23] <Rapey_Lemons> flies out of the car and slams into a nearby rock outcropping.
[02:23] <Rapey_Lemons> Both of them managed to get up, holding their injured areas.

[02:27] <Rapey_Lemons> "Let's just get out of here," your father yells at you as he begins moving away, holding his arm.
[02:27] <Liz> "Get mom out of here, I'll catch up."
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother takes one more look at the blood pooling underneath the cart before running toward your father.
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> "No, Beth, you're coming with us," your father insists.
[02:28] <Rapey_Lemons> "Let's get out of here while it's occupied with the car."
[02:28] <Liz> "If we all run that horn is impaling one of us!"
[02:29] <Rapey_Lemons> The rhino is currently attempting intercourse with the car.
[02:30] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'm not too sure about that, Beth."
[02:30] <Rapey_Lemons> "It seems pretty occupied," your mother quips.
[02:30] * Liz gives the Rino a few more glances before turning and running to her parents.
[02:31] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents both exhale a sigh of relief as they hug you.
[02:31] <Rapey_Lemons> "Thanks for saving my ass," your father grins shakily.
[02:31] <Liz> "I was so worried about you guys..."
[02:32] <Rapey_Lemons> "And we were worried about you too," your mother says, quickly wiping her eyes.
[02:32] <Liz> "Let's just go before that thing loses interest in the car."
[02:33] <Rapey_Lemons> "We can talk later," your father interrupts. "Let's get going. Any plans as to where we're headed, Beth?"
[02:33] <Liz> "I figured the World Gardens would be safe. No animals except bird there."
[02:34] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father nods. "Good idea, I think the birds would all be in cages anyways. Did you see where any of the other passengers went?"
[02:35] <Liz> "I...didn't no."
[02:36] <Rapey_Lemons> "Alright," he says, looking at the sun. "North is this way, so let's go... this way," he says, pointing west.
[02:36] <Liz> "Lead the way."
[02:37] <Rapey_Lemons> The three of you begin walking toward the bird area.
[02:37] <Rapey_Lemons> (do you tell them anything along the way?)
[02:39] * Liz tells her parents a bit about the artifact and its abilities while leaving some specifics out.
[02:39] <Liz> ((And I mean artifact as in singular. She's only talking about the Gem))
[02:39] <Rapey_Lemons> (okay)
[02:40] <Rapey_Lemons> You guys continue walking and walking, until you realize you've made a terrible mistake.
[02:41] <Rapey_Lemons> A hill of sorts is in front of you, decently steep. The bird area is composed of raised wooden platforms on top of the cliff/hill.
[02:42] <Rapey_Lemons> "Well, shit," your father exclaims, sighing and sitting down on the ground.
[02:42] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother plops down on the ground next to him, nursing her shoulder.
[02:43] <Rapey_Lemons> "Does your... item have something to help us get up there?" your mother asks.
[02:43] * Liz looks for any source of water near them.
[02:43] <Liz> "I've got an idea....but I just need to look for some water to make it work.
[02:43] <Rapey_Lemons> "And where are all the animals?" your father mutters to himself.
[02:44] <Rapey_Lemons> He stands up and dusts his pants off. "I think I saw a watering pool back there," he says. "One of those artifical pools for animals to drink from."
[02:46] <Liz> "Well, what I'm thinking is that I could make a big ball of water for you to float in, then move the water to the top of the hill. Think you can tread water that long?"
[02:47] <Rapey_Lemons> "We're strong swimmers," your father grins.
[02:48] <Liz> "Then let's go get that water."
[02:48] <Rapey_Lemons> "Though it sounds slightly dangerous," your mother says. "Are you confident in your abilities?"
[02:48] <Liz> "It's the first thing I learned....And I've kinda been practicing for a few years now."
[02:49] <Rapey_Lemons> "Then I'll trust in you," your mother says, smilling and pulling you into another hug. "Let's go, then."
[02:49] <Rapey_Lemons> The three of you head toward the pool of water and arrive safely, the other animals mysteriously absent.
[02:50] <Rapey_Lemons> The pool is tinted green and the water looks a little dirty.

[02:53] <Liz> "One at a time?"
[02:53] <Rapey_Lemons> Arranged cylindriaclly, the water is barely enough to cover someone's torso and legs with a layer of water.

[02:54] <Rapey_Lemons> "I guess if you spread it out enough..." your mother comments.
[02:54] <Liz> "It's this or going through more animals."
[02:54] <Rapey_Lemons> The three of you head back to the hills.
[02:55] <Rapey_Lemons> You've convinced your mother and father to attempt this method, at least once.
[02:56] * Liz sends up her father first, "Gotta make sure someone's up there to protect you Mom."
[02:57] <Rapey_Lemons> "I don't need protection," your mother says, glaring at your father as if daring him to challenge her.
[02:57] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father pointedly ignores her as he keeps himself steady, allowing you to float him up to the wooden platforms that consist of the bird area.
[02:58] <Rapey_Lemons> He lands safely, holding onto the guardrails as he down at the two of you.
[02:58] * Liz draws all the water back leaving him dry.
[02:58] <Rapey_Lemons> "No one up here!" he shouts.
[02:59] <Liz> "Okay Mom, your turn."
[02:59] <Rapey_Lemons> She stands still and waits for you to submerge her.
[03:00] * Liz repeats the process and floats the water up to her dad and the platform.
[03:01] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents wave at you from above, waiting for you to come up too.
[03:03] * Liz entertains the thought of running back to finish the business with the Rino before dismissing it and repeating the process on herself.
[03:04] <Rapey_Lemons> The three of you make it up to the wooden platforms safely.
[03:05] <Rapey_Lemons> Around you are the condors and other various birds in the cages, all of them either looking normal or huddled in corners of the mesh cages.
[03:05] <Rapey_Lemons> The walkway is completely empty, along with the rest of the platform.
[03:05] * Liz shapes the water into a small thing resembling a slime and makes it follow them as they walk.
[03:06] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents notice the slime-thing and decide not to comment.
[03:06] <Rapey_Lemons> "Any ideas now? I feel like we should probably try to get out of here," your father says.
[03:06] <Rapey_Lemons> Your mother nods. "We could find some help and information on what's going on in here, and why people are turning into... those flesh creatures."
[03:07] <Liz> "Well, if we follow this path, we should be able to make it to the exit."
[03:08] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father follows your directions. "So down through the condor trail, through the safari walk, and back to the main area?"
[03:09] <Liz> "Yep."
[03:10] <Rapey_Lemons> The three of you begin walking. You pass by the letharic bald eages and the condors that seem to be giving you a look.
[03:10] <Rapey_Lemons> You reach the intersection with the safari walk.

[03:11] <Rapey_Lemons> All three of you hear voices and turn to look in their direction. A group of people are walking buy, a few of them supported by others and all of them looking haggard as they walk toward you.
[03:12] <Rapey_Lemons> They are clearly human.
[03:13] * Liz says nothing and drags her parents down the trail heading towards the parking lot.
[03:13] <Rapey_Lemons> Someone from the group calls after you. "We tried, you can't get out," one man says desparingly. "Soldiers are blocking the exit. They nearly /shot/ me!"
[03:15] <Liz> "Yeah, Finals are starting to sound pretty good right about now."
[03:15] <Rapey_Lemons> (do you continue alon your way?)
[03:16] <Liz> "Well I'm out of ideas."
[03:17] <Liz> "Hey you! Guy! How many soldiers were there?"
[03:18] <Rapey_Lemons> He sighs. "A lot. Even if everyone was here and gathered together, we wouldn't be able to break through the barricade."
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "Have you seen anyone else, by the way? There should be more people in this park," someone else asks.
[03:19] <Liz> "Give me a number....I might have an idea."
[03:19] <Liz> "Dead or turned into a monster."
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> "I'd say, from the amount /we/ saw? Easily more than thirty, just for the park entrance."
[03:19] <Rapey_Lemons> A few of them pale. "M-monster?"
[03:20] <Liz> "....Well there goes that idea."
[03:20] <Liz> "Actually....You guys go hide. I'm gonna go try something I saw in a movie once."
[03:20] <Rapey_Lemons> "Our daughter's all grown up now," your father whispers to your mother. She nods. "Isn't she so... adult-like? Just look at her go."
[03:21] <Rapey_Lemons> "What are you going to try to do?" your father asks you.
[03:22] <Liz> "Well the Elephants are near here....And I hear that they can sometimes be prone to....stampeding."
[03:22] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father looks at you skeptically. "You're going to try herdin the elephants after seeing what the rhino did?"
[03:22] <Liz> "ESPECIALLY after what the Rino did."
[03:24] <Rapey_Lemons> "Well then, I hope you're secretly an elephant-whisperer or something," your mother says. "After all, those things are smart and intelligent and can get quite aggressive."
[03:25] <Liz> "I just need to get them to head in the direction of the soldiers, they'll try to see what the commotion is, shoot at the elephants, and my work will be done."
[03:27] <Rapey_Lemons> Your parents sigh. "Well, I guess it's either that or we're trapped in here," your father says. "On the other hand, they could shoot you," your mother adds.
[03:28] <Liz> "I'm  not going anywhere NEAR them, I'm just pointing the elephants in the right direction."
[03:29] <Rapey_Lemons> "Then let's go," your father says. "Safety in numbers."
[03:29] <Liz> "No. You go hide."
[03:29] <Rapey_Lemons> Your father frowns. "We're fine, Beth. Our injuries aren't that bad."
[03:30] <Rapey_Lemons> "If you go alone, something might happen to you."
[03:30] <Liz> "If I mess this up, I don't want to lose you or mom. Plus, I can move faster and in more places on my own. I can only float one person after all."
[03:30] <Rapey_Lemons> "On the other hand, we could hinder her. She's right about the floating thing, you know," your mother adds.
[03:33] <Rapey_Lemons> After a few minutes, your parents come to a decision. They'll stay behind and recuperate, while you go ahead.
[03:33] <Rapey_Lemons> "Call us if you need help," your parents tell you.
[03:34] <Rapey_Lemons> (List the path by which you go to the elephants, please)

[03:36] <Rapey_Lemons> The group of people waited for an explanation of the monsters, but left when you three started talking amongst yourselves. They decided that perhaps it was better if they didn't know
[03:36] * Liz walks onto the Safari Walk bridge before floating herself down onto the service road
[03:37] <Rapey_Lemons> You can see the elephants from the service road. The service road is a little elevated, putting you a distance above the elephants, but the incline isn't so steep so that they wouldn't make it up if they wanted too.

[03:41] <Rapey_Lemons> You ignore the person underneath the tree and instead head toward the elephants.

[03:42] * Liz stops at the fence and examines it.

[03:43] <Rapey_Lemons> There is no fence. The elephants are about a quarter of a mile away, below you. YOu are on an elevated area

[03:47] * Liz makes her way closer to the elephants, floating herself above the ground as high as possible.

[03:48] <Rapey_Lemons> You look down at the service road below you. It winds through a good portion of the park, both sides of it surrounded with trees. Down the sloped hill is the elephant area, where you see a few of the elephants acting a little strangle with the rest of them huddled together.
[03:48] <Rapey_Lemons> A wooden view platform also extends fro the top of the hill a few hundred feet away from you.
