Writing plans!

Hey everyone! Been a couple of weeks, but I (Vodka, one half of the QT Brewer writing circle) wanted to thank everyone who's enjoyed our writing! Both Putting Down Roots and Just Because I Wear a Collar have gotten really warm welcomes, and I'm honestly thrilled by that. I thought I'd make a little post here to tell people what my plans are for stories on here going forward, just to keep everyone in the loop.

Putting Down Roots is a single volume story. It was always planned to be one, so Ren and Kagura's arc starts and finishes in this volume. I was at a pretty low point in my life when I started writing it, and wanted to make something sweet and simple to deal with what I was struggling with. It's a very personal story, and one I'm really proud of. I never expected it to get as popular as my other work, but I love those characters, and it's been lovely seeing other people connect with them too. There's tentative plans for a sequel starring Nina, but I don't have a specific timeframe for when I'll write it, since I want to make sure I'm in the exact right frame of mind for it. When you get to the end of Putting Down Roots, there's a pretty big tease about what the sequel will cover, so please look forward to it!

Just Because I Wear a Collar was, as some have noticed, a story I wrote on AO3 under a different name a couple of years ago. It was initially a single volume thing as well totaling around 40k words that I had a lot of fun making. When I saw an indie light novel publisher taking submissions, I decided to give it a full remake and submit it to them for publishing, but I received no response, so I decided to upload it here. People seem to really enjoy this one, and I'm thrilled by that! This version of things drastically increases the amount of focus Haqua gets, adds new characters, and rounds the story out in a really nice way, bringing it up to around 60k words total, so it's a big overhaul even if the basic plot is similar. Even in the original story, I planted some seeds for things I'd like to do in future stories with these characters, and this remake lays down even more groundwork for that, so there'll definitely be sequels to this in the future.

Beyond those two stories, I have a couple of irons in the fire that I'm really passionate about. Two monster girl-centric novels, one of which is a oneshot, and one that's intended to be the start of a longer running romantic comedy. I'll begin uploading at least one of these shortly after Putting Down Roots is finished.

Then I've got a long-running polyamorous yuri harem series in development that I've already written a full volume of that comes out to just shy of 100k words, and I've already begun work on the second volume. I'm *very* excited about sharing that one, and the only reason I didn't make it the first thing I upload here is because I want to have a ton of it ready to go when I get it out there, so I can keep a consistent upload schedule going without any worry. I'd like to start a possible Patreon someday, but I want to get a bit more of Putting Down Roots and Just Because I Wear a Collar up there first. I write for the love of it, but I'd also love to be able to earn money to pay artists to make illustrations for all my work, ahaha. (and to fund my gaming habit, ngl)


So basically, a TL;DR
Putting Down Roots: Single volume series with a possible second volume planned.
Just Because I Wear a Collar: One volume's written so far, there'll maybe be a bit of a break, but I'll write a second volume.
After that, I've got a few other series ready to go, so while those stories might end or pause, I'll consistently have new writing to share for a long while!
