  1. Prompt Bright Sun
  2. Species/Race Name Punosols/Punetasols "Branded Sun Monks"
  3.
  4. Anatomy/Biology
  5. Types: Masters, Students, and Idlers.
  6. Description: A beastman type species, these creatures are a cross between a human and a monkey. They possess prehensile tail that ranges between half their standing height to one and a half times their height and can usually be seen carrying something. They also posses a patch of fur on the back of their necks, on top of their feet, and the back of their hands. Fur may also appear on their forearms and shin, but this varies between them.
  7. Although they are commonly mistaken with their Ramacachi cousins, the key difference lie in that the Punosols wear little to no clothing to hide their tanned skin. The other notable difference is that rather than stones, Punosols will brand themselves, leaving behind very visible scars all over their body to show their level of mastery in their fighting technique. The final difference, but usually the first to be noticed, is that while Ramacachi are blessed with plump behinds, the Puñosols are endowed with large breasts.

  9.
  10. Diet: Omnivorous, mostly fruits and insects.
  11. Male
  12. Average height: 5'10
  13. Average weight: Imperial, Metric, or both
  14. Average build: Bulky and muscular (if student or master)
  15. Average lifespan: 50-70 years
  16. Female
  17. Average height: 5'6
  18. Average weight: Imperial, Metric, or both
  19. Average build: Lean and muscular (if student or master)
  20. Average lifespan: 55-75 years
  21. Extra: The body of a Punosol naturally radiates heat moreso than other species of similar size, making there homes rather warm. This is incredibly convenient during the winter times, as they usually refrain from wearing any clothes whenever they can. Although it may be enticing, refrain from maintaining extended skin contact with a Punosol, as this heat radiation seems to somewhat infectious, capable of temporarily allowing another to radiate heat similar to a Punosol. Those who are not accustomed to this may believe they are burning up as well as experience a few secondary effects, particularly arousal. Even though the effects will eventually wear off in time, if you are around company, they will likely never forget the time in winter where you took off your clothes with a full erection/juices sliding down your leg, so please only do so if it is absolutely necessary.

  24. Politics
  25. Classification: how does the rest of the world/universe/galaxy classify them? I usually only use this for races that have been created in a lab. (optional)
  26.
  27. System: Chiefdom - There is one Chief that rules over all the Punosols. Below them are the Village Chiefs, which are in charge of the residents within their respected communities. Masters of the flame arts, known as Punetasols, are next. They are followed by Students, who are still learning and improving in the art of their technique, and finally Idlers, those who have chosen to not continue in their learnings.
  28.
  29. Values: In Punosol society, there are two things that they value. Mastery of their martial arts, and breast size. As such, one's status is heavily dependent on the two, where the level of mastery of your martial arts will determine your ranking in the village, and breast size will determine your placement within your ranking. As such, usually females end up with higher placements within their rankings. Men who do wish to raise themselves will usually concentrate on their training in order to be placed in a higher rank altogether, but many have taken to chest exercises or indulging in eating habits in order to enlarge their breasts and raise their standings within their rank.
  30.
  31. Religion: Punosols praise the sun for all that it provides to their world. They will spend hours training under its rays, and even more whilst meditating. Their tanned skins are a proof to their commitment to the sun. According to legend, it is said that a Ramacachi had once stared directly at the sun and was granted a vision. It was one that differed greatly to their lifestyle, but had revealed to her many things. From it, she had developed a new technique, one that could harness the very flames of the sun. Sharing the news with the other, some were inspired, whilst other wished to retain to the old ways. Leaving their brothers and sisters behind, they left their clan to begin a new one, one that would lead to dawn rather than dusk. This was said to be the beginning of the Punosol clans, and how they came about their technique, the Palms of Sol.
  32.
  33.
  34. Settlements/colonies: Punosols usually reside in small communities, usually near another community with Punosols. Punosols do not usually leave their villages, and require permission from the village chief in order to do so. If one leaves without permission from the chief, they are to be treated as an exile until a chief (any chief) pardons them for their absence.
  35.
  36.
  37. Diplomacy: Cousins of the Ramacachi that originated from the same clan, they split off due to differing beliefs and developed their own form of martial arts. Although they are no longer in the same tribe, they maintain a healthy relation between them and respect each other's fighting style making it seem as if though they were still only one tribe.
  38.
  39.
  40. Technology:
  41. Military: The Punosols have very little in terms of technology. Weapons from Punosols tend to be made from bronze, but it isn't uncommon to see them holding weapons made from other species. A large majority tend to be melee oriented in order to compliment their increased strength due to their scars. These weapons can range from staffs to gauntlets and most prominently spears. Some Punosols have been seen using small bows, but this is primarily for hunting rather than for combat. It should be noted that Punosols will usually carry an extra weapon to be wielded by their tails, usually a dagger, but some have been seen adding a weight or a steel sleeve so as to allow their tails to act as flails or small bats.
  42. Punosols are also heavily against wearing armor, due to a mixture of pride and the fact that covering their bodies would greatly hinder their greatest strength, they believe the benefits they gain from increasing their defenses would be too little for what they lose.
  43.
  44. Civilian/Public: Most Punosols are involved with the military in one form or another due to the most basic of members in their society having some training in martial arts. As such, most Punosols will own a weapon. They are generally considered primative, but not incredibly so.
  45.
  46. Overview: Punosols are a primitive race, relying on trading with other species in order to prevent themselves from falling too far behind.
  47.
  48.
  49. Traditions: All Punosols are taught the very basics of their fighting style from the moment they reach childhood. Once they have learned the basics, they will earn their first mark, a brand on the center of their chest. From this point on, a Punosol will earn a brand in accordance to their skill and learning of the Punosol fighting style. Eventually, a Punosol will become covered in scars due to the brands they have earned. The scars not only show their level of mastery of their fighting style, but is also able augment the strength of those who have been branded by it in accordance to the amount of time it has spent in sunlight. They are also said to burn when in direct sunlight, even when fully healed, but it seems the effects can be overcome through meditation and training.
  50. Eventually, a Punosol will be tasked with earning their final brand, one placed onto their foreheads, to signify their mastery of their technique. In order to become a Punetasol, they must use their technique to produce and wield the fires within them. These flames are said to be a blessing from the sun itself, and rumored to burn just as brightly as the sun. Punetasols are capable of wielding this flame with great ease, using it in combat, coating their weapons in it, and occasionally their entire bodies in its protective embers.
  51. Those who fail to become a Punetasol and give up entirely will end up as Idlers. Although Idlers no longer train, many of them are still considered fairly skilled for being able to reach the step before mastery, and are occasionally hired as mentors for Students.
  52.
  53. As noted before, within their society, Punosols they take great pride in their breasts, even greeting each other in a variety of ways that involves contact with each others chests. A simple hello amongst Punosols is done with a light quick squeeze on the others breast, while a more personal greeting requires one to squeeze both at the same time. The most intimate greeting amongst Punosols is the pushing of ones chest onto another's. This would be the equivalent to a light kiss amongst Punosols. In these forms greeting, timing is everything. For example, if one were to grip their hand on the chest of a Punosol for an extended period of time (longer than 15 to 30 seconds), it would be interpreted as marriage proposal. Likewise, using both hands and doing so would be the same as expressing ones undying love for the other, so it unwise to be absentmindedly unaware of where your hands are and how long they've been there.
  54.
  55.
  56. Conflicts/Issues: Being cousins to the Ramacachi, they share several similarities in appearances, but hate being confused with the other. They do not possess ill will towards the other, but simply find it insulting that someone cannot even recognize the differences amongst them.
  57. Also, due to their odd form of greeting, it leads to very awkward and confusing situations when interacting with those unaware of their greeting style. Especially with species that enjoy hugs.
  58. Punosol try to maintain healthy relations with others, but have been known for being stubborn and brutish at times, which has escalated to fist fights with higher officials from other tribes. Oddly enough, the tribes that have had their officials fight a Punosol never declare war, and somehow it ends up strengthening the bond between them.
  59.
  60. History: History is inconsistent, relying mostly on stories passed down by others. Will require further research.
