personality;
- She's the shyest in the group, which is quite surprising when you see her on stage. Somehow Miyeon flips her personality completely and becomes a female version of j-hope on stage. She's full of energy and sunshine.
- However, off stage Miyeon is the quietest member in the group and she keeps quite reserved. In any talk shows, she's usually the most quiet and she zones out quite a bit.
- She's quite generous and tends to worry a lot about other people and how they feel. Said to be the most thoughtful member, Miyeon is extremely caring and she overthinks a lot.
- Miyeon seemingly gives thought to everything she does because she loves fashion and wearing clothes that suit her. She likes to plan for everything,  so that she's never late or under dressed. Those two things are two of her main pet peeves.
- Honest. Miyeon is very truthful, and can't really lie to anyone - so whenever anyone needs to have an honest opinion, they go to Miyeon. She tries to give good advice, but in fact she ends up just telling you what she's thinking.

In Daegu, she grew up in a small house with both her parents. Then her parents split up when she was 11 and her dad moved to Australia (the reason why she can speak English) and he soon remarried and now has a stepson. However, her mother remarried when Miyeon was 16 and they moved to Seoul. When they arrived, Miyeon decided that she wanted to be an idol so she auditioned at Cube and became a trainee there. She soon left because it wasn't likely she was going to debut until very late on, so she moved to BigHit. When she was training, she worked in a convenience store so she earned some money.
