Breaking Down

[23:19] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Lady Reito."
[23:20] Rindou approaches the woman upfront, giving a small, courteous bow. The kind she hadn't given in years to her after her demands. There was something off, that much was for sure.

"Are you available for a tea and talk?"
(Rindou Sakamoto)

[23:21] Reito Shimasu exclaims, "Ah, Rindou. Always!"
[23:23] Rather than allowing the kitsune to properly set the teapot and begin brewing, Rindou does it herself. It was time for her to display those talents she had more prominently, after all. Still, all about this felt a tad... Off.

"How was your day?" She asked.

[23:28] The Kitsune settled upon the cushion as she typically did, at her favourite spot upon the table. As Rindou began preparing the tea she seemed a bit surprised but settled. After all the years having servants at her beck and call either from her being the Regent, or Isaac being the Shogun, she had grown semi-used to other people doing things for her.

"It was fine," She said, "I watched some of the tournament Briarlocke was hosting, and I've secured some soldiers from the Fourfold to be stationed at the Shrine once it's built."

[23:34] That last new was definitely good. A bit of light could be seen shimmering without Rindou's extinguished ambers after her rough treatment at the Gehennan tournament. Losses after losses really did affect her moral. Thankfully enough the kitsune she had mostly given up hope on to be an ally came through, proving to Rindou that...

".. Miss Reito..." She murmured, looking down for a moment. Face growing red, eyes watering up, hair falling before her expression. A lot had happened in the past two days. A lot made her think, resolve issues, grow, fall, lose, lose again, lose once more, then lose, and lose, and finally lose. All of that in such a short amount of time had a negative effect on the girl, but perhaps the virtue of mercy's simple words - that message she gave changed it all.

A few tears fell down on the table as she remained silent, completely overwhelmed by everything happening so, so fast. Her emotions were a shamble. She was happy. She was sad. She angry. She tired. She was thirsty. She was nervous. She was afraid. She was resolved. She was hopeful. She was heartbroken. She was in love.

What a horrible mix.

[23:43] Reito paused, as Rindou seemed to break down right then and there. She's quiet, studying the girl's features closely with pursed lips. Only after a few moments of silence did she finally speak up,

"What's the matter, Rindou?" She questioned. "If it's about Isaac... You don't need to cry, dear..."

[23:46] She shook her head wildly, hair shifting from side to side before her face. It wasn't about that man, well, it was, but not really. Sort of. It was all to complicated and messy. Where was the friend she needed when she needed her most? Why was life so difficult? Why did she have to get involved in the real world instead of sitting in that bubble of fantasy and high class?

There were so, so many things that were messed up. But also so, so many things that were good and great. She wasn't even sure why she was crying right now, it just sort of... spilled out from this overload of emotions.

[23:49] Reito was quiet, watching, as she just cried. Eventually, the Chancellor stood up from the small table they were seated at, moving around it in quick steps before she knelt next to Rindou.

Arms intertwined around her shoulders and she brought her in for a hug. Reito herself smelled of tea, and of warmth - an intermingling of her natural affinity for fire, and her love of tea. A hand reached up, stroking her hair softly as she murmured,

"It's quite alright. Sometimes it's good to cry! Just let it out, yes?"

[23:56] Maybe that was what she needed after all. Maybe this was the reason her subconscious had guided her all the way to Huangzhou even if she knew she wanted to be with Caira more; deep down she knew it wasn't like that, that she wasn't as important to the Gehennan as she was to her. That Reito would be there. That Reito was always there for others.

She leaned into that hug, letting out those tears and being still unsure of why it all came down this way.

Life was... complicated.

[00:04] As Rindou leaned into the hug, the Kitsune was there for her, short as she was. She continued stroking her hair in that soothing manner. Even the glow about her grew brighter, further soothing Rindou by it's own influence naturally.

"Are you feeling any better now...?" She asked quietly, after some time.

[00:07] Rindou remained there. Perhaps she could have lived there for her whole life; within the safety and warmth of Reito's arms nothing could reach her, nothing could hurt her. Though all good things came to an end in due time, eventually leaving Rindou to nod slightly, asking a question from within Reito's embrace.

"Do you think Jiuweihu will hate me?"

[00:09] She seemed startled by that question and she shook her head, laughing,

"Why on earth do you think She will hate you?"

[00:10] Rindou Sakamoto says, ".. I don't know..."
[00:10] Rindou Sakamoto says, "I think I..."
[00:10] Rindou Sakamoto says, "-"
[00:10] Rindou Sakamoto says, "There's a reason I wanted Caira to come to the ritual."
[00:11] Reito Shimasu asks, "Hmm?"
[00:11] Rindou Sakamoto says, "......"
[00:14] Reito Shimasu says, "It's okay, Rindou."
[00:14] Reito Shimasu says, "You can tell me."
[00:14] Rindou Sakamoto says, ".. Nnnnn."
[00:16] Reito Shimasu says, "It's quite alright - let it out."
[00:17] Rindou shook her head lightly.

[00:18] Reito Shimasu asks, "Do you wish to be alone for a bit...?"

[00:21] Reito Shimasu says, ".... Here, come with me."
[00:22] Reito Shimasu says, "Go ahead my dear, have a seat."
