- Contacted DELL Computer, Inc. In mid November 2014; and it was found that the unit was overheating, it had processor problems, hard drive problem, and optical drive problem; due to overheating. The unit is out of warranty by year's, but I was told that I could achieve the following.
- The representative I spoke with informed me that it would possibly run $269.00 to repair all of the above problems.
- I am also needing keyboard for the unit.
- The final agreed upon price is $269.00
- The unit was returned to me without a hard drive, and a WiFi Device.
- It's still a crap shoot, about booting up and still shuts off I gave up, and just leave it on, I'm hoping Windows 10 will help some. The processor still runs at 99% most of the time, however their are short periods of time when it drops to 80%. It also sends an audible tone every so often for no apparent reason. It's defiantly not a general system sound.
- The problem I bought two Dell laptops within 6-8month both were defective, now I'm behind on payment's, and now I owe them $5,000.00 and ; I had to send one of them back for the heatsink, hard drive, cd drive they sent it back with out a HD and a WiFi device I sold the other laptop
