  6. [03:31:50] LOOC - Dmex: (. brb im sorry)
  7. [03:32:41] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (im here)
  8. [03:32:41] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (I will dot next)
  9. [03:34:24] The green haired lad nodded at that, now making some more sense to him. Three tribes, and yet he only met two of them. He knew the last one was the one most people seemed to avoid. The infamous Atl. At least, most people outside of Gehenna.
  10.
  11. "Ezmara, Cruxati," he said each name, pointing with a finger towards the north-west temple, the one right besides them, and the one he could see only the tip of from the southwest direction. "Atl, I'm assuming. I always thought these were the only tribes of Gehenna, indeed. But...You're from a smaller one, then!"
  12.
  13. With a curious smile, he sharply nodded at Dmex, only to move his reddish gaze towards Lothuitl who approached, as if that share of sights were somewhat a silent compliment to her approach.
  14.
  15. "I was born in Agartha,I never had a place overseas or beyond the shore to call home. So I guess I'm as much of an Agarthan as the Agarthans from the north." moving one hand to place some of his hair behind an ear, he crossed his arms with an idle movement, mostly for resting his elbows. "What was your tribe like, Warchief? In comparison to the three we have here, I mean."
  16. (Alberich)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [03:41:13] LOOC - Dmex: (ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff)
  20. [03:41:13] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (f?)
  21. [03:42:04] LOOC - Alberich: [ NOOO WHO DIED ]
  22. [03:42:56] LOOC - Dmex: (me)
  23. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (I am so sorry
  24. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (My roof started leaking)
  25. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (or.. continued leaking but in a new spot)
  26. [03:55:44] LOOC - Alberich: [ Are you ok? ]
  27. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (I had to scream and grab a bucket)
  28. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (Yeah I'm ok)
  29. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (just live in a slumlord's rental property)
  30. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (and a massive branch hit our roof yesterday
  31. [03:55:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (and the real estate hasn't done anything about it)
  32. [03:56:35] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (and its pissing down)
  33. [03:56:35] LOOC - Alberich: [ Ugh, just take care so you don't have any damage to your stuff or to yourself ]
  34. [04:00:00] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (thx.. i finish post. its short.. sorry for wait)
  35. [04:00:00] LOOC - Alberich: [ No, take your time, seriously ]
  36. [04:04:16] Lotlhuitl joined Dmex. Warchief of Ezmara. Her patron, mentor, object of worship, affection. Friend?
  37.
  38. The tall Nagual swayed her hips as she walked. Sauntering on into the Cruxati tribe's main courtyard. The temple behind them provided a lovely backdrop for wedding ceremonies, sacrifices, and of course, this scene which was unfolding here.
  39.
  40. Standing now, the woman briefly curled a finger in her long, blue-black hair. Ears pricked forward, expression quizzical. "Great Spirit, Dmex." Lotlhuitl said, addressing and greeting the Ezmaran Warchief before she turned her attention, no, indeed, her whole body towards Alberich.
  41.
  42. "Great Dmex's origins are important, young one. But I might suggest not immediately relevant. No, what is relevant now is that the Great Spirit is amongst us, guiding us, protecting us all. What is relevant is that you should praise her for all that she has done, and all that she will do."
  43.
  44. Lotlhuitl's gaze shone with the fervor of someone who truly believed. The Nagual struck a powerful pose, asking Alberich, "Will you?" before looking back to Dmex.
  45. (Lotlhuitl)
  46. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  47.
  48. [04:05:58] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (umm..)
  49. [04:05:58] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (hm)
  50. [04:05:58] LOOC - Alberich: [ I'll wait for her since she might want to dot before I do ]
  51. [04:05:58] LOOC - Alberich: [ -IF- she's back ]
  52. [04:05:58] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (well she offline)
  53. [04:05:58] LOOC - Alberich: [ Yeah probably a dc ]
  54. [04:06:49] LOOC - Alberich: [ Let's wait a bit, if not I'll go ahead ]
  55. [04:08:32] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (they're not feeling so well, and had some problems)
  56. [04:08:32] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (so
  57. [04:09:23] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (maybe just go, Dmex can have gone off somewhere)
  58. [04:09:23] LOOC - Alberich: ´[ Yeah, she always appears and disappears anyway! ]
  59. [04:16:12] Alberich's eyes quickly moved back to the Nagual before him, looking at the colorful dressed woman from toe to tip, and back to toe, and back to tip. That was quite a sight, he would say out loud if not to sound strange enough to put it to words in such a way. But the small amusement, curiosity and even interest was well too printed on his face so words wouldn't be necessary to demonstrate that.
  60.
  61. The green haired lad of a red pinkish colored eyes was, by many means, a Valmasian. His features denounced some origins from the north of the Mainland, but considering what he actually said, those were indeed only origins, for he was born in Agartha. Dressed in a purple colored robe and white pants with tall boots, his expression of some light weight and even charismatic demeanor curved itself into some genuine surprise for what Lotlhuitl said.
  62.
  63. "But of course! One's origins are hardly something of relevance for most of the time, though they are importante." he said with a small hand gesture of his own, only to notice Dmex ceasing to be with them yet again. She did so when she came by, so at that rate he wasn't quite finding it strange anymore to see that woman simply disappear and appear sometimes. "Wait, slower please, haha~" he chuckled for a moment, struggling to keep his hair from falling over his eyes.
  64.
  65. "The Warchief is...The Great Spirit, or...?"
  66.
  67. He asked, in some genuine ignorance and not meaning to mock the almost fanatical devotion Lotluitl was showing now. He could be a light hearted soft speaker, but Alberich wasn't senseless enough to not notice such things as the nagual's worshipping of Dmex.
  68. (Alberich)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [04:21:20] Xitlalli says, "Hiii."
  72. [04:23:02] Xitlalli says, "I was thinking about dressing down some, Noa, considering the weather and all."
  73. [04:25:36] Lotlhuitl blinked. And then she blinked some more. Blink. Blink. Blink. Dark eyelashes rising and falling - fluttering almost - as she then proceeded to stare at the green-haired youth in surprise. Dmex hadn't told him? One could almost imagine the fluffy-tailed Nagual saying that. But she didn't. She managed to compose herself, raising a jewellery clad hand to her lips and leaning back slightly, staring down at him as if in thought. Appraising him.
  74.
  75. "It may be information deemed too important to reveal to you." Lotlhuitl's voice was silky, her tail swishing from side to side. The bangles she wore made light metallic sounds as they bumped and clicked together from the motion.
  76.
  77. Lotlhuitl dropped her hands to her sides, palms up.
  78.
  79. "I, Lotlhutil, handmaiden of the Great Spirit Dmex, tell you that it is so. She once walked the spiritual realms and was summoned here by Caprise, spirits rest his soul. She..now acts as Ezmara's Warchief, but she is so much more than that. Really."
  80.
  81. The Nagual folded her arms in front of her chest.
  82.
  83. "I could tell you more, however, the Mysteries of the Great Spirit are not open to unbelievers and the uninitiated may only glimpse so much."
  84. (Lotlhuitl)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [04:25:36] Noa Huitzilopochtli asks, "Ah?"
  88. [04:25:36] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I'm sure that'd be... Fine."
  89. [04:25:36] Lotlhuitl glanced towards Noa and Xitlalli, quirking an eyebrow, arms still folded.
  90. (Lotlhuitl)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [04:25:36] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "The more of oneself exposed to The Sun is a wonderful thing."
  94. [04:28:09] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (says the sun worshipper completely covered in clothing..)
  95. [04:29:00] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: ((Noa reveals some of his chest in casual clothing
  96. [04:29:00] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: (thats more than most my chars
  97. [04:29:00] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (oh wow, some of his chest..)
  98. [04:29:00] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: (im sorry he's also very modest
  99. [04:29:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (there's modesty and then there's like a pathological fear of exposing ur skin)
  100. [04:29:52] Xitlalli asks, "Did you hear about earlier on?"
  101. [04:29:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (ur in the jungle)
  102. [04:29:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (you should be in shorts)
  103. [04:29:52] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Mmm. I have."
  104. [04:29:52] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "People are making... Accusations."
  105. [04:30:43] Xitlalli says, "Yeah."
  106. [04:30:43] Xitlalli says, "They brought in quite a heavy handful of people."
  107. [04:30:43] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Hmph."
  108. [04:30:43] Xitlalli says, "Trying to strongarm something about some sort of Ookami."
  109. [04:30:43] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I don't care for the opinions of demons."
  110. [04:31:34] Xitlalli says, "Somnus? Was the one throwing accusations at me, which was unfortunate."
  111. [04:31:34] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I spoke to him today."
  112. [04:31:34] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I assured him you had nothing to do with it."
  113. [04:31:34] Xitlalli says, "Atro didn't do much, infact he welcomed the... Well."
  114. [04:31:34] Xitlalli says, "I'd call it bullying."
  115. [04:31:34] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Though he's still intent on speaking to you himself.-"
  116. [04:31:34] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Aha."
  117. [04:31:34] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Atro spoke to me today too."
  118. [04:31:34] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "He was certain you are not as they said."
  119. [04:32:25] Xitlalli asks, "Ah. Yeah. I mean, why would I even do whatever it is they were speaking about?"
  120. [04:32:25] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Acts of lust? It's highly... Doubtful."
  121. [04:32:25] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "You've kept very modest aside from ah... That one incident."
  122. [04:34:08] Xitlalli says, "I mean, that WAS under the influence Noa."
  123. [04:34:08] Xitlalli says, "Plus I find it kind of hard to not be in the mood when we're together. Alone. Mm."
  124. [04:34:59] Xitlalli asks, "But still, that... It just sounds so outlandish, y'know?"
  125. [04:34:59] Xitlalli says, "I've beaten up many Valmasians before, it is likely that this 'Hestia' person he spoke of."
  126. [04:34:59] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I know. Believe me, I do not allow some beings who acts on the impulse of Chaos to tell me what is right and wrong."
  127. [04:34:59] Xitlalli says, "Was previously a slave of here and is merely trying to frame whoever they deem as the right picture for it all."
  128. [04:35:50] Xitlalli says, "Obviously, I have quite a... Generic swath of colours for a Gehennan. Something they pointed out during their witch hunt."
  129. [04:35:50] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Everything will work out, that much I am certain."
  130. [04:36:41] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I am not opposed to killing a demon in the event it is needed."
  131. [04:36:41] Xitlalli says, "Personally, it surprises me they act with such efforts to hunt down this so called 'Sin', when you've still got Xomac and Oyaotl running about."
  132. [04:36:41] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Any creation of Chaos does not hold the right to place judgement upon the innocent. And aha..."
  133. [04:36:41] Xitlalli says, "Of course, Oyaotl doesn't really cause an issue, but Xomac...? Ah."
  134. [04:36:41] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I don't doubt a sin marked that woman, I saw her mark."
  135. [04:36:41] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Something of the sort anyways."
  136. [04:36:41] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I just..."
  137. [04:37:32] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I doubt it's you."
  138. [04:37:32] So that could explain the appearing and disappearing, Alberich thought as he heard those words, taking them open minded and wholeheartedly.
  139.
  140. It could be possible that the nagual was actually taller than him in her full height, but not even at that he seemed to change the weight of his own persona. He didn't feel intimidated or threatened even while observed from so close, with such attention from Lot's part.
  141.
  142. She could notice, however, the lad had a small glyph marked on his forehead. It would normally go on unnoticed unless closely inspected such as she did now. Of a red color, that glyph, probably a tattoo, birthmark or something else was definitely placed right over the main convergence point of his mana circuits, a suggestive place to be marked, one could think.
  143.
  144. Other than that, his whole body, though covered by so many layers of silk and fine cloths of purple and white, didn't seem to be too strongfor someone of his age. A youthful and slender green haired lad he was, which would only lead one to think he definitely wasn't a weapon bearer; not only his body didn't seem to fit the type, but he also didn't have any sword or blade of any kind with him. Nothing but that smug smile and sometimes the quick glance in certain ways.
  145.
  146. "That might definitely be the case, then! We barely had enough time to talk other than our request for residency within Gehenna, and...Hm, well, the welcoming we received from her." not minding her proximity, Alberich said with a side smirk, looking at the nagual in the eyes as he rested an open palm over his own stomach. "But I'm also definitely sure she isn't the kind of person to brag herself about those feats to every single person she meets, hm? Enough to say I respect her for her own attitude towards us."
  147.
  148. He clicked his tongue into a small toothy smile towards Lothuitl, and eventually, just like she did, Alberich also inspected her, not an invasive look, but definitely a curious one.
  149.
  150. "But I have to say, you seem to be very passionate about the Warchief and her feats and deeds, and definitely everything she represents, yes? Who are you though, Lothuitl, handmaiden of the Great Spirit?"
  151.
  152. With a small musing smile, he gestured with that hand over his own stomach, probably suggesting he was asking about the nagual behind the title, and not her surface self. Such a personal introduction, though!
  153. (Alberich)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [04:37:32] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "No, I don't believe it's you."
  157. [04:37:32] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "That is more appropriate."
  158. [04:37:32] Xitlalli says, "Ookami are known to be quite lusty regardless."
  159. [04:37:32] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Fair."
  160. [04:37:32] Xitlalli says, "It's highly likely these Natives are just trying to test the waters so to speak."
  161. [04:37:32] Xitlalli says, "See how far they can push the boundaries between our nations."
  162. [04:37:32] Xitlalli says, "See what they can take before being told no."
  163. [04:38:24] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Mmm. It's best to stop it as soon as possible."
  164. [04:38:24] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Dmex seemed to take interest in this issue however, though that could mean a number of things."
  165. [04:38:24] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I'm not sure what to think when speaking to her."
  166. [04:38:24] Xitlalli asks, "What did Dmex think?"
  167. [04:38:24] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "She just did the usual..."
  168. [04:38:24] Xitlalli asks, "Nodding?"
  169. [04:38:24] Noa puts on his best Dmex voice.
  170. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  171. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  172.
  173. [04:38:24] Noa Huitzilopochtli asks, "Ah..?"
  174. [04:39:15] Noa Huitzilopochtli asks, "Is that so..?"
  175. [04:39:15] LOOC - Alberich: [ Disappearing ]
  176. [04:39:15] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I see, I see. That is interesting, Noa."
  177. [04:39:15] Xitlalli puts on a Noa voice.
  178. (Xitlalli)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [04:39:15] Xitlalli says, "Yes, quite, Dmex."
  182. [04:39:15] Noa Huitzilopochtli exclaims, "Wow!"
  183. [04:39:15] Noa Huitzilopochtli exclaims, "I do not sound like that!"
  184. [04:39:15] Xitlalli exclaims, "I'm fully against Chaos!"
  185. [04:39:15] Xitlalli says, "I'm a knight in shining~ Armour~."
  186. [04:39:15] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I- I'm being bullied."
  187. [04:39:15] Xitlalli bursts out in laughter.
  188. (Xitlalli)
  189. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  190.
  191. [04:40:06] Xitlalli says, "Aw come on, Noa, I'm only pulling your leg."
  192. [04:40:06] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Hmph... I know."
  193. [04:40:06] Xitlalli whispers something.
  194. [04:40:06] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I'm not mad! Just I sound way coo-"
  195. [04:40:06] Xitlalli says, "Yes, yes, quite."
  196. [04:40:57] Noa slowly looks away, coughing into his hand with a face flushed with red.
  197. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  198. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  199.
  200. [04:40:57] Xitlalli says, "I mean, I'd say romantic is the better adjective."
  201. [04:40:57] Noa Huitzilopochtli asks, "... So, when do we get time alone again?"
  202. [04:40:57] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Ah..."
  203. [04:40:57] Xitlalli says, "You are quite -brave- after all."
  204. [04:41:48] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: Mmm. I wouldn't say that's the right word.[
  205. [04:41:48] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: (fuck
  206. [04:41:48] LOOC - Xitlalli: (oop)
  207. [04:41:48] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Mmm. I wouldn't say that's the right word."
  208. [04:41:48] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Bravery comes from those who can prove it through acts of power."
  209. [04:41:48] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "I'm still... Ah... Lacking. I can only barely go toe-to-toe against Karma."
  210. [04:43:31] Xitlalli says, "Better than me, I suppose."
  211. [04:43:31] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Mmm... No."
  212. [04:43:31] Xitlalli asks, "Mm?"
  213. [04:43:31] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "You hold power in other regards. Your words and presence enticed me, afterall."
  214. [04:44:22] Noa Huitzilopochtli asks, "You could move mountains with that alone, you know?"
  215. [04:44:22] Xitlalli asks, "Oh, yes, Zahhual did teach me plenty in regards to using one's presence, hence the dance, as for words?"
  216. [04:44:22] Xitlalli says, "Mm, comes naturally I think."
  217. [04:45:13] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "It's a useful talent."
  218. [04:48:38] ... Oh.
  219.
  220. Pausing for a moment his attention would instantly shift for a moment up to the skies above. The seemingly constant flicker of cosmic energy from around his body drawn inwards as a gentle breath found itself sucked into his lungs. There had been one detail that he forgot to touch on.
  221.
  222. "I feel I forgot to mention. Those of the demon city will eventually wish to speak with you, I feel the need to stress this." His words ringing clearly as a moment of pause found itself wrapping around him. Fingers reaching back to gently curl around the grip of his staff as that looming feeling of dread remained.
  223.
  224. "Do not speak to them alone. They will only work to corrupt you and use what fear you may show, wait for my or even Atro's arrival before allowing them to do a thing."
  225.
  226. His orders given with a sharp nod to follow.
  227. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  228. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  229.
  230. [04:52:54] "She has no need for bragging, though it is not the mark of a braggart to be proud of accomplishments. Which she has many."
  231.
  232. Lotlhuitl's gaze wasn't intended to be threatening, though many perhaps would find it so. The woman had a feline, predatory edge to her gaze, but also perhaps an edge of gloom and sadness.
  233.
  234. She was dressed -- no, draped -- in countless pieces of jewellery. Bare skin exposed, barely making the unblemished mythril armour she wore have any real practical use. She was tall, and willowy, and had fluffy ears and a fluffy tail. Beauty was in the eye of the beholder, and many had said she was beautiful. But then again, many had in the same breath cursed her. It was good she didn't give a shit about the opinions of the unwashed masses.
  235.
  236. Who was she? The woman was deadly serious. "I'm many things. Trouble, some may say. Runescribe to others." Yes, she was a runescribe. And so it was that Lotl took particular profesional interest in the mark adorning the youth's forehead. "Let me see your head.." Lotlhuitl muttered, reaching out to attempt to gently grab the green-haired youth's jaw. To pull him towards her with a finger. She leaning right in.
  237.
  238. "You born with this?" She would ask, poking at it with a finger, regardless of success at seizing his chin.
  239.
  240. And so she was, when snippets of Xitlalli and Noa's conversation reached her ear. "Wait.. what? The.. Demon City wants what? Why?"
  241.
  242. Blink.
  243.
  244. "What did I miss.."
  245. (Lotlhuitl)
  246. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  247.
  248. [04:53:45] Horatio beams with ignorance.
  249. (Horatio)
  250. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  251.
  252. [04:55:28] It was indeed a stressful situation that Xitlalli had found herself in, but she was certain that she could worm her way out of it; after all, the woman had been in messier situations than this, all she needed to do was play the right card, at the right time.
  253.
  254. "Oh right, yes. Effigy... Somnus and then they'll bring that Ookami with them to continue the accusations. I don't trust Atro entirely so I'd rather be around you when that happens, since Effigy bragged about him and Atro having a rather 'beneficially mutual arrangement' or something along those lines.", a small chunk of speech was given out, the Spirit Dancer sighing lightly as her voice continued it's softened and sweet tone.
  255.
  256. "I wasn't planning to speak to them alone and even then, it'd be crazy to think that Atro or any other leader of our colony, would hand over a Gehennan over such brash accusations."
  257.
  258. An idle nod was performed, Xitlalli turning her head during of which as she glanced upon Noa.
  259.
  260. "They even considered getting a truth potion in all of this; a waste of a spire shard if you ask me. Either way. I don't think anything bad will occur. Unless the Demons want me for runewriting exclusively. I mean, it's the only logical explanation! They lack people to work for them, so they're trying to steal 'em. Like this."
  261.
  262. And just as expected, Lotlhuitl within hearing distance heard the conversation which led to the dark-browny-purple haired woman explaining as such what had happened; her lips curling into a frowny pout soon after.
  263.
  264. "They accused me of an act I... I'm pretty sure I did not do. I don't have the time to attack lusty Ookami. That wouldn't be proper of me. Somnus was the one who accused me and brought in a small army to muscle on me and Atro; Atro kind of failed in the diplomacy part, rather passive he was but he didmanage to fend them off by showing a small amount of faith on my part."
  265. (Xitlalli)
  266. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  267.
  268. [04:58:01] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: (god im a hunk
  269. [04:58:01] LOOC - Xitlalli: (BLINK)
  270. [04:58:01] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (why would u hide that away)
  271. [04:58:01] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (thats a crime)
  272. [04:58:52] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: ((i need new pants otherwise it looks dorky
  273. [04:58:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (sorry u always look dorky)
  274. [04:58:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (sun nerd)
  275. [04:58:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (also HELLO new PERSON)
  276. [04:58:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (WE ARE FRIENDLY)
  277. [04:58:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (I AM FRIENDLY)
  278. [04:58:52] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (AND KIND)
  279. [04:59:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (IGNORE ME CALLING NOA A SUN NERD)
  280. [04:59:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (WELL DON'T IGNORE IT, HE IS ONE)
  281. [05:04:00] Mmm...
  282.
  283. One could say a number of things about the biases that had been allowed to slip through the cracks of Gehenna. Though as she spoke about what distrust she held for Atro all he could offer was a gentle shake of his head. His arm pushing out from beneath his cloak as the lips of Xitlalli found themselves curling into a frown all to wrap it firmly around the waist of this woman he truly cared for.
  284.
  285. "You are free to deny speaking to them at all until I am present. Though, Atro is more timid in his approach to things. I hope you do not blame him for anything he had done during the heated moment they placed on your shoulders." Noa spoke as a grimace spread quickly upon his features with such words. Even the thought of allowing them to repeat what had already occurred was one truly disgusting.
  286.
  287. "I don't believe a potion will be necessary. You've done nothing but aid Gehenna, I'm sure you can speak the truth on your own. And... Ah..."
  288.
  289. Cutting himself short he simply allowed Xitlalli to explain all that had happened to the curious Nagual.
  290. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  291. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  292.
  293. [05:05:42] LOOC - Xitlalli: (ima grab a drink rq whilst i wait for RPs)
  294. [05:07:24] The appearance - and clothes - of Lot just served to grow Alberich's interest even further. He never saw people such as Lothuitl and Xitlalli, in the back, who had so much skin at display and, in certain ways for the taste of some, alluring bodies even. That was almost alien concept to the purple dressed boy, who lived most of his early days at the north of Gehenna, eventually and sometimes, mostly at Jianghu and what remained of the once valmasian population.
  295.
  296. Skin displays were nothing to be familiar with,
  297.
  298. But considering there was no blush or hard looks on his face, he was curious and enticed by her looks for other reasons than what one might initially think of. It was some genuine curiosity instead of attraction. Or at least, the curiosity outshined the attraction by far, if there was any.
  299.
  300. "You don't seem like trouble, but I can understand how you can bring trouble to someone, yes?"
  301.
  302. With a side smirk on his face he glanced down Lot's hands. He was looking for some feline looking nails, or claws, for he just assumed she would have those as well as fangs. But he wouldn't need to look too much, for she quickly grabbed on his chin to lift it instead.
  303.
  304. The very first thing Lot would notice about Alberich, now she had made skin contact with him, was the heat of it. That boy's skin was hot, in an almost unnatural form, as if he was suffering from some mild fever. Except he didn't act ill. Was that just his natural temperature? Hard to tell.
  305.
  306. "Ah~ Handmaiden, physical contact such as this usually comes after either a request or some form of compliment, you know?"
  307.
  308. He said with that very same smirk from before, but instead of keeping his cheeky poise, he moved his eyes up alittle. Despite having his face touched, he didn't move further. Again, he didn't feel threatened by the nagual, quite by the contrary now.
  309.
  310. That mark on his forehead was almost colorless, and though it would be very hard to understand it's meaning, even if Lothuitl was experienced and versed in the occult, it didn't look like anything for an elemental ritual, or even a simple tribal tattoo.
  311.
  312. That was some ancient and old mark. Maybe too old to be remembered or even used. The small scent and feeling from the occult would come from it however, not aggressive, not intense, but definitely present. Was that the cause of his skin to be so warm?
  313.
  314. "I have these on my body for as long as I can identify myself as a human being. Which means...Probably ever since I was born? Hard to tell you for sure, but why is it suddenly so interesting to you?"
  315.
  316. He asked with a musing smirk on his face, not minding the proximity and his chin being held, as he finally lowered his eyes to meet Lot's.
  317. (Alberich)
  318. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  319.
  320. [05:17:39] Lotlhuitl's gentle grip had held Alberich's chin as she looked to her friends. Noa. Xitlalli. The Nagual's ears had twitched, fluffy tail swishing back and forth. Serious accusations. The Nagual had made shocked sounds, plainly disbelieving it all. Not really adding anything to Xitlalli and Noa's conversation, other than the fact that she agreed completely with them.
  321.
  322. She would protect Xitlalli, at whatever the cost. She was right, she couldn't possibly have time. How anyone could think she would do something like that, the Nagual couldn't understand. She was obviously outraged.
  323.
  324. She might have said more, but the teenager with the really warm skin was talking to her. Oh.. Right. She was poking his forehead.
  325.
  326. Lotlhuitl released him. A sort of awkwardness from her, as she realised that there may have been some sort of impropriety there. That she should ask before touching. She didn't like it when people touched her. She.. she didn't like it.
  327.
  328. Lotlhuitl was not experienced or versed in the occult. "A curious thing, that mark." She breathed, folding her arms in front of her chest. Tail flicking. She plainly wasn't going to apologise for touching him.
  329.
  330. "Interesting?" Lotlhuitl said. Her tail flicked again. "Did I say it was interesting?" It was interesting. The Nagual, for whatever reason, was trying to come across as aloof, uncaring. "I thought your forehead was dirty. I was going to lick my finger and rub it off. But.. I suppose, if you were born with it. Hm. If you are going to be around Gehenna long, I might have some work for you. And perhaps I might find something interesting in it, after all."
  331.
  332. (Lotlhuitl)
  333. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  334.
  335. [05:25:20] It was indeed a crying shame, but what could one do in times such as these; with the uprising of the archons to the north and the weakening of the tribes to the south, of course biases were going to slip through the damaged cracks of Gehenna. It was on a tipping point thanks to the actions taken by those in power; though that within itself was enticing for Xitlalli, she did wish to see what would happen if Xomac truly lost his mind for example.
  336.
  337. Though as soon as an arm curled itself around her waist, there'd be a flutter of those dark eyelashes of hers, as she generously leaned into Noa, clinging onto him like some sort of cat. Yeah, a cat.
  338.
  339. "I'll try but they are quite forceful. Not only that but they acted as if they owned the place. Marching in unforbidden. I personally blame Karma for giving one of them so many rights --the others use his name as a shield for things. It's... Insulting and outrageous in my opinion."
  340.
  341. One of them had earned the right to do plenty, the others? Not so much in Xitlalli's mind.
  342.
  343. "And, I know, I know I shouldn't be pointing fingers but it was rather stressful. And those Demons were quite, well, thuggish would be the right word, truly and utterly thuggish. Like a band of Sarradian brigands they were."
  344.
  345. The frown shifted to something more neutral and reserved, her face returning to that of a blank slate for the time being as she spoke.
  346.
  347. "That boy, Caesar seemed eager; I've not spoken to him, not even interacted with him and yet he eyed me rather suspiciously. I feel paranoid in all fairness; it's not every day you have an army and a couple of folk pointing their pitchforks and torches at you."
  348.
  349. To top everything off as well, the dancer sighed loudly, using the moment to rest her entire weight onto Noa. How lazy.
  350.
  351. "It's very tiresome, I feel so tired. You mighthave to drag me around, Noa.", she ebbs out, with a sly grin slowly but surely spreading onto her dusky visage.
  352. (Xitlalli)
  353. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  354.
  355. [05:27:53] "Oh, is that so? Haha~ I thought you definitely had a very solid idea about it, so intensively you looked and even peered!" he chuckled as she let him go, covering his mouth with the back of his hand and closing his eyes for the time being, but as he looked back at the nagual, there was a small smirk on his face. He definitely knew she was actually interested in that occult energy and feeling, even if very weak, coming from the mark. "But it was just dirty, so silly of me of think otherwise!~ Maybe not so silly of you, though."
  356.
  357. He pointed a finger towards Lot as he mentioned her, his face still curved into that small smug joy as he spoke. He didn't seemed to be all too clueless and innocent as he might have looked like to begin with, instead, he the green haired lad was actually taking some amusement into being like that. Or rather, acting like that. Not that Lot would be able to know any of it considering how little amount of time they spent together so far.
  358.
  359. "Not so silly, I'll tell you, because I've spent the last week travelling from the Gao Deryu and beyond, to Gehenna. The Dreadwoods is definitely a place for someone to get their forehead dirtied, isn't it?" he shrugged, an exaggerated motion as his shoulders went up and down, and he motioned both of his palms upwards, besides his body. "For how long I'm staying, however, is as much of a mystery as how many jewels you're wearing or why I have this on my forehead, hmhm~" a smug smirk came once again, and he finally rested his hands on his waist.
  360.
  361. "Truth be told however, it will be for some time. Eight and Kath have decided to...What was the term she used...Take residency under a roof near the woods, I'm certain." he nodded, simply smiling at the Nagual again. "Who knows for how long a residence can last these days, yes?"
  362. (Alberich)
  363. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  364.
  365. [05:28:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (ah just a second sorry)
  366. [05:28:44] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (my sickly husband requires sustainance)
  367. [05:30:27] LOOC - Alberich: [ Gosh yes please take care of the priorities here Lot! ]
  368. [05:30:27] LOOC - Alberich: [ Take your time ]
  369. [05:33:52] He -- He seemed more like he was processing every new piece of information as it struck him.
  370.
  371. Idly his fingers tapped against the waist of this woman as his mind was lost only in thought as he listened to it all. The simple fact of the matter remained the same that those very same demons being allowed to act as they pleased could not be something allowed to remain. Allowed to act as they pleased in the territory of Gehenna while all the same growing angry at the thought of even a single Gehennan standing in their own streets.
  372.
  373. "... None of them hold that right. You have every right in those moment as far as I've heard to be agitated and even stressed by this, I'm certain The Sun would not fault you for such." Noa spoke in what seemed an almost comforting coo as she pushed herself against him further. Not even so much as wobbling for a moment as he stood more like a wall keeping her closely beneath his cloak all as he searched for the correct words in his mind.
  374.
  375. "What occurred happened in our territory. I can't even truly fault whoever acted against that Ookami, they are still seen as Valmasians and all the same our enemies. As for... Dragging you around."
  376.
  377. His words quickly trailed off as a sharp pull of gravity rushed through the air. Plucking this woman up and instantly dropping her right into his arms in an almost bridal carry sort of fashion, grin remaining as smug as ever.
  378. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  379. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  380.
  381. [05:44:57] Indeed, Gehennans had quite the issue with Valmasians, especially with the likes of Xomac pushing that anti-Valmasian agenda quite harshly, something which Xitlalli was about to bring up as she felt herself plucked off the ground and into her man's arms.
  382.
  383. "Well.", she says, forced to look up to Noa, "You know how Xomac pushed for harsher treatment of Valmasians? It's highly likely, given they were an Ookami, most likely appearing Valmasian as ever. Then of course our people would react defensively against one running through the streets.", only to give a brief explanation as to what might have happened.
  384.
  385. "As I was told by both the accusers and from rumours alone, the Ookami that was supposedly hurt had been wearing a Valmasian styled cloak, whilst sprinting at inhuman speeds through Ezmara... I was in Cruxati at the time, I didn't encounter them."
  386.
  387. A small lie if anything but the woman was of course selfishly covering her own back, for not only her own sake but to keep what was hers, that being Noa... In her own grasp, socially.
  388.
  389. "But I did see them entering Cruxati for a moment, only to be chased out by the guards; which means they were up to something they shouldn't have. I mean we have thieves running in and out of the settlements constantly, bandits... But this one, this one is something special, no? A bit too convenient for the Demons, to then pressure politically our leaders to do something about nothing in my opinion."
  390.
  391. The Spirit Dancer sought nothing other than to nuzzle her face into Noa's own wall-like body, curling up slightly whilst remaining in that bridal carry sort of fashion.
  392.
  393. "If anything, I think it's a framing job; I don't think any Gehennan actually held them up, it just seems a bit too odd. Like, surely if they were hurt, they were injured, they wouldn't have gotten away? It makes no sense, I'm thinking they weren't caught. I think this Ookami that belonged to Somnus was trying to spy on us and got spotted and is simply trying to cause some sort of..."
  394.
  395. What would be the right word?
  396.
  397. "Scandal?"
  398. (Xitlalli)
  399. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  400.
  401. [05:49:13] Lotlhuitl scowled at the youth, ears pinning back ever so slightly. She was viewing him from beneath dark eyelashes, her scorn and distain building within her as the child mocked her.
  402.
  403. So this is how it was. Even children laughed at her now.
  404.
  405. Another outsider, treating her home as entertainment. Her as entertainment. That was the assessment Lotlhuitl found herself coming to, an assessment certainly not helped by Xitlalli talking about outsiders coming in as if they owned the place. Threatening her.
  406.
  407. Lotlhuitl's tail twitched and she struck a hip out, left hand going to rest against it.. jewellery jingling subtly with the motion.
  408.
  409. "I.. I might know." By the spirits. She felt defensive, and that had even reached her voice. A damn kid was running rings around her. Annoying. More tail twitching, a rather unamused look directed his way. Along with a sigh. One long lengthy sigh.
  410.
  411. "Fine. You got me. I am interested in your horrific facial scarring." Deadpan. "Who are these Eight and Kath?" She squinted. "Are their visages marred with attractive marks like yours, or are they blemish free?"
  412. (Lotlhuitl)
  413. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  414.
  415. [05:50:04] Lotlhuitl arms folded, looking decidedly grumpy, Lotlhuitl bristled as she watched Noa and Xitlalli act all.. lovey-dovey. Did she hate personal displays of affection? Was she jealous? Was something else on her mind? Who knew!
  416. (Lotlhuitl)
  417. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  418.
  419. [05:56:54] While Alberich wasn't actually mocking Lotlhuitl, he definitely had a very unique and peculiar behavior all around. Everything seemed to be amusing to him in a certain way, and though he was polite, it would be a lie to say he didn't have his own games of words from time to time.
  420.
  421. But Lot's reaction to it, grumpy and disgusted, annoyed even, actually caught him by surprise. It wasn't his intention to actually drive the nagual in that direction and mood, and even if it didn't look like it, he was paying more attention to Lothuitl and her own demeanor and thoughts than one could guess.
  422.
  423. Blinking twice at her sudden change of voice tone and expression, he sighed for one moment, shaking his head and simply assuming a small corner smile on his face. He, too, changed the behavior he was putting at display now. Maybe toning down his strange mannerisms into what could be more socially acceptable.
  424.
  425. "No, no. Eight and Kath; Katherine, are those who came to Gehenna with me, last week. We've presented ourselves to The Great Spirit Dmex, and asked for shelter." he said, moving his hair to behind his ear once again with a single hand, and simply answering Lothuitl in a more direct way. No more games of words and gestures, for he took a hint about Lot taking that lighthearted conversation on a personal level. Why, though, he didn't know. "Kath is more than likely sleeping under the tallest tree she could find, and Eight...Is probably doing something a little too strange for me to mention now. You'll understand when you meet them."
  426.
  427. That small smile remained for a couple more seconds, until his expression turned into a small surprise, as if he just realized something.
  428.
  429. "A-And of course, me. My name is Alberich, I'm afraid we've talked so much about you, I forgot to give you something to call me."
  430. (Alberich)
  431. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  432.
  433. [05:59:28] No.
  434.
  435. Calling it something as simple as a scandal would mean there was no vile intent behind that curtain. Relaying her own recollection of what had happened his grip found itself idly growing tense as he held this woman in his arms. Every false accusation that would be flung in her direction could be easily pushed to the side through her words alone, someone who had stood so proudly alongside Gehenna since the beginning of it all didn't need to be treated like dirt.
  436.
  437. "I'll protect you. That much I can promise, as best I can I'll protect you. I feel I have been fed lies by those Demons in their attempts to further create divides between Gehenna. Selfish creatures, those who would only see their faction stand alone once this all came to its end." His words practically booming with a sense of power through them as shocks of lightning visibly rolled off his tongue now. Perhaps out of sheer agitation, who really knew.
  438.
  439. "You have logic and reason backing you up anyways. I'm sure everything will be fine, really she shouldn't of been roaming through our territory without someone guiding her. Besides... I know for a fact if you had caught her, you would of truly shown her what power us Gehennans have."
  440.
  441. His words seemed a gentle purr now as he glanced back down in the direction of Xitlalli.
  442. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  443. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  444.
  445. [06:10:33] At Alberich calling Dmex 'Great Spirit', Lotlhuitl seemed mollified somewhat. Those fluffy ears slowly shifted forward, her tail ceased flicking back and forth like some sort of serpent, and her expression shifted back into the more gloomy expression which was more the norm for her. Much more neutral, if you would believe!
  446.
  447. She unfolded her arms, looking down at her fingers. Alberich would've noticed that while her hands were not feline or catlike as such, the Nagual wore jewellery that was not unlike claws. Golden claws. Rings, too. And bangles. The woman truly was adorned in all sorts of metal.
  448.
  449. "Ah," Lotlhuitl breathed. An arched eyebrow was all that remained of her scorn, but then soon enough even that was gone. She swallowed it. "I see."
  450.
  451. He'd come to Gehenna seeking shelter. The protection of Dmex. Lotlhuitl could understand these things.
  452.
  453. "I am pleased to meet you, young Alberich." Which was either just the Nagual being pleasant once more, or she truly hid her pleasure. She didn't sound particularly pleased.
  454.
  455. "May I touch your forehead again, Alberich..?"
  456.
  457. She'd already reached a hand out, but.. she hesitated this time. She wanted to trace her fingers across the rune. To sink her magical senses into it. To feel it. But to do such a thing uninvited, after the last comment (which had been true enough!) seemed unspeakably rude.
  458.
  459. "... you recieved this mark in the Dreadwoods?"
  460.
  461. Her gaze returned to being thoughful, appraising. No pity in those eyes -- it was rude to show pity for others. Though, it was clear that she had come to the assumption that he and his party of friends had not made it through the woods unmolested.
  462. (Lotlhuitl)
  463. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  464.
  465. [06:12:16] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (er, claws on her index fingers.)
  466. [06:15:40] If Xitlalli had caught her, if she had even been there properly then... None of this would have happened and more to the point, like that of Ellenore then Kalisha; that Ookami would have ended up looking like a Gehennan rather than some weary appearing, dull and oppressed looking Valmasian! But, aspirations and desire for change aside.
  467.
  468. No, the story she was weaving suggested that she had nothing to do with it and if she had, not to the extent these Demons were meandering on about.
  469.
  470. "We already have... The Atl causing problems and they've recently allied with the Demons supposedly. I feel as if they're trying to cause a rift. After all if we fight amongst ourselves, we cannot defend ourselves when the time comes."
  471.
  472. Xitlalli was irate about it all but the woman was sure that whatever was to happen, wouldn't go down negatively in her favour, no infact she knew that this was most likely going to give Gehenna an opportunity within itself should it choose not to cower and back down.
  473.
  474. All they had to do was place faith in her and show a bit of zealous ignorance to such claims from Somnus and his 'merry' band.
  475.
  476. Least this is how Xitlalli viewed it; an ambush in the making if Gehenna so choosed.
  477.
  478. "Well, yes, I think it's just highly unfortunate, but if they choose violence, it won't be pretty for them."
  479. (Xitlalli)
  480. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  481.
  482. [06:16:32] Noa Huitzilopochtli says, "Mmm... Chaos... Demons... Really, Agartha would be better without them."
  483. [06:17:23] Xitlalli says, "Yes, quite."
  484. [06:17:23] Xitlalli says, "Quite so."
  485. [06:17:23] Noa falls asleep standing up! Zzz...
  486. (Noa Huitzilopochtli)
  487. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  488.
  489. [06:18:14] LOOC - Noa Huitzilopochtli: (okay goodnight friends
  490. [06:18:14] Xitlalli kisses goodnight. Woah.
  491. (Xitlalli)
  492. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  493.
  494. [06:19:05] Lotlhuitl was unimpressed by the kissing..
  495. (Lotlhuitl)
  496. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  497.
  498. [06:21:39] There was indeed much more in Alberich eyes than what the surface of it would allow it to see. He was listening. He was noticing and paying attention. To an extent, even reading Lotlhuitl while they talked. He noticed how well adorned in jewelry she was, how her tail and ears reacted to certain changes and shifts in her mood; as well as how, somewhat and to a lesser extent, she seemed to be a younger 'version' of the other gehennan further back, Xitlalli, except with her own characteristics; after all the woman with Noa seemed to be much more mature and adult looking than Lot. But there was a resemblance between both.
  499.
  500. But of course, all of that was being masked behind that small joyful charisma of Alberich's, who simply seemed to be carefree for most of the time.
  501.
  502. "Yes, go ahead." he said lowering his arms once again to simply rest his hands on his waist, lifting his own chin as if to offer his forehead to be touched. "At the Dreadwoods, yes, but I suppose I was much too young to remember how it came to be. I think it sparked my interest for it as well, you see? And the very nature of my studies."
  503.
  504. With a blind smile of his closed eyes, he continued. If Lot were to literally rub her finger on his forehead, over that strange mark; or even if she would go ahead and try to use her own mana to see some reaction from it, the response would be very expected: Being on his forehead, the mark was right on top of his main convergence point of his mana circuits. It was probably a work of a filter, or catalyzer of some kind, either placed there or simply natural, working in a way to mold, fuel or feed his mana whenever flowed towards that point for his casting.
  505.
  506. "Not many people from Jianghu would look at it so directly without frowning, I'd tell you. Seems to be scary to them, I'm wondering, haha~"
  507. (Alberich)
  508. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  509.
  510. [06:28:28] * You have been awarded 0.75 Roleplay Points! *
  511. [06:37:00] Lotlhuitl was silent, tracing her finger over the young teenager's skin with scholastic interest as Alberich spoke. Indeed, the woman did (gently!) let her mana trickle into the mark. She was a runescribe, but.. ah. Not an energy mage. Her understanding of her own art was by no means rudimentary, however.. hers was wrought in blood.
  512.
  513. Even though she was not an energy mage, she understood mana circuitry, through her studies. It helped, pouring her own energy into the rune. She could feel it then.
  514.
  515. Lotlhuitl's mana was strange. She pulled her power from within, from her will. From her soul. And her soul was currently afflicted, cursed. Rotting.
  516.
  517. "Hm," came from the Nagual. Her tail slowly swished from side to side. She'd closed her eyes, biting her bottom lip as she concentrated. Her gut feeling was that the mark wasn't harmful to the child. And so, she released him. A snort given at the mention of Jianghu. A brief glimmer of scorn returning.
  518.
  519. But it seemed that was all she had to add on the topic of Jianghu, unless the youth decided to press her. In truth she could've said MUCH about her feelings on Jianghuans, but whatever reason she held her tongue.
  520.
  521. "You're a scholar, young Alberich?" Lotlhuitl asked, some small degree of interest in her voice, even as she went back to examining her fingernails. Even so, she was watching him: from beneath dark eyelashes... out of the corner of her eye.
  522. (Lotlhuitl)
  523. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  524.
  525. [06:48:57] When the nagual poured some of her own mana to work on that circuit, Alberich briefly frowned, as he felt her mana gently and lightly, flowing through his own circuit, and even more so, at that very specific point. But more important than that, was the glyph. It reacted to the mana, just as it would if it was Alberich the one using it.
  526.
  527. A small glow of a reddish hue took place, faint, brief and just enough to make itself noticeable. If Lot's mana was one of affliction and anguish; cursed and rotting, the sensation and response from that glyph was almost in kind. But it didn't seem to rely on emotions or feelings, at least not entirely. It was simply dark, hot and incredibly enticing. Almost inviting the nagual to keep her finger there, to keep her mana in touch. Not that it was drawing from it, no, but it was deep kind of energy coming from it. More than definitely, it was occult.
  528.
  529. "A scholar? I've been called a bookworm, a dork, and many other things, but no one put it in such a good term." noticing how triggering that glyph could be, Alberich was the one to move his face away from her head, with that same smug smile on his face. He didn't want to creep the nagual out, for that seemed to have caused similar problems in the past. "But by many means, I would say so, yes. I'm a student of certain aspects of the mana, the ones you probably know by now, hm?" he quickly pointed at his own forehead, as that mark which once glowed, now simply faded into an almost colorless glyph instead. "One could say I'm as much of a practical caster as I am a theoretical one."
  530. (Alberich)
  531. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  532.
  533. [07:00:54] Even this weak-looking boy probably had more power than her.
  534.
  535. Lotlhuitl had looked away on purpose. Was playing aloof on purpose. Her emotions were surging within her. She was struggling with them. Slowly, suppressing and swallowing each one, one by one. Her anger and her pain and her Kraus-damned hunger for more than her life had given her. She'd frowned. Perspiration dotted her brow.
  536.
  537. "I can be rude if you prefer it." A twitch of her tail. Tone deadpan. It was hard to tell is this was an attempt at humour from the Nagual, or her being terse and impatient with him.
  538.
  539. She finally looked at him directly. Meeting his gaze. Hers for only a second seeming to hold some sort of strange quality. Longing, perhaps? Despair? Anger? The exact emotion would have been uncertain. But one thing she definitely did not appear to be was creeped out. But in any case, she blinked, and all trace of the intense emotion (whatever it was) was gone.
  540.
  541. "You'll find many friends in Cruxati and Ezmara, Alberich. It is a good thing, to be studious. Do not allow others to slight you for pursuing knowledge with passion. Crush them, if they try."
  542. (Lotlhuitl)
  543. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  544.
  545. [07:09:26] LOOC - Buhdah: (anyone knows where i can find string?)
  546. [07:10:17] "Rudeness is just another side of a paper where gentleness is." he said with his eyes closed, lifting a finger besides his own face as if he was reciting something. His tone however normal, was slightly going to the humoring side. "Both are convenient lies to display what one intends on the given moment."
  547.
  548. He smirked, but shook his head once again. Alberich was versed in some kind of philosophy as well? Or maybe he just made that up, who could tell. Beyond his carefree demeanor however, it was very obvious there was some spark of wisdom. Maybe more than a spark, or those were results of his own studies, after all, the purple dressed wizard was an active practitioner and student of the occult. Emotions should be something he knew about; or at least something he would be seeking to know.
  549.
  550. As he opened his eyes again, he noticed all too well the myriad and twirling shape of feelings and emotions that flashed it's signs through her own gaze. If Alberich had a strange dark fever about him, Lot was seeming to have a literal frozen explosion restrained behind her own face, or so he thought.
  551.
  552. "That's something I've been looking forward to hear, you see, someone who knows the value of knowledge! The curiosity to see and understand how certain things work. How some people work." he said with, for a brief second, a grin on his smug face. "It makes it so much easier to tame, control or use it when you know how it works, doesn't it?"
  553.
  554. With an intentional pause, he mused himself an even wider grin for yet another moment, just to properly smile back at Lotl.
  555.
  556. "The mana, I mean, of course~"
  557. (Alberich)
  558. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  559.
  560. [07:29:04] Lotlhuitl was probably a hard one to gague. She seemed to respect Alberich's studiousness, but otherwise seemed unimpressed by with the child waxing philosophical at her. It remained unseen, therefore, how much she may or may not have agreed with him.
  561.
  562. "You talk a lot." She finally said, tail twitching this whole time -- though, notably, not thrashing about as it had when she had been genuinely annoyed by the green-haired youth. A breakthrough, perhaps?
  563.
  564. A chill had come over her. Control people? The skin at the back of her neck prickled. And yet, she couldn't quite work out why that was. Oh, mana. Right. Right.. Still, there was something in that idea. Controlling people. She didn't particularly like the idea in regards to herself. It.. felt like she was forgetting something. But thinking about it, it was just because she considered herself a particularly wilful woman. As such, it would be wrong for her to be controlled. Lotlhuitl of the Cruxati was not so easily tamed!
  565.
  566. "Hm." Her tail swished from side to side, her gaze thoughtful. The woman shrugged, long hair tumbling over her shoulders in one looong dark cascade. Her ears were no longer pointed back. "I'm afraid if you are looking for a master in mana manipulation, or, ah, someone with social graces, you'd be best to speak to Xitlalli."
  567.
  568. Lotlhuitl looked over a shoulder at her friend. Her dear friend. "I pale in comparison to her." A soft laugh was given, accompanied by the first smile Alberich would have seen from her. And a genuine one, too! Happy, but for a moment.
  569.
  570. "If, someday, I was able to be judged in the same standard as her, I'd be able to meet my end feeling accomplished. Aha."
  571.
  572. Well, now. That was laying it on a bit thick. What the hell was wrong with her? The woman broke the longing stareshe had directed Xitlalli's way, instead focusing on how her hands felt.. slowly curling into fists. Serious once more, albeit somewhat uncomfortable with herself.
  573.
  574. "Mm."
  575. (Lotlhuitl)
  576. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  577.
  578. [07:42:43] "I do, don't I? It's just so boring and dull when people make little of their own words and simply talk directly to the point of what they mean." he said calmly, having his hands resting besides his body as he kept that smile on his face. "Sometimes that's necessary, yes, but...Well. Words are made to be used."
  579.
  580. He was indeed a wordy lad, and by the looks of it, he knew it.
  581.
  582. His eyes travelled however, from Lothuitl to Xitlalli by the temple entrance when she mentioned the woman. The one who seemed to be having a date with a significant other not long before he fell asleep. The one, who by some means resembled Lot in a strange way. Maybe the clothing, maybe her actual looks. He couldn't tell quite too much, after all, though he heard parts of what she was talking about with Noa, it was Lot who had his full attention.
  583.
  584. "I'll consider some talking to her at some point then, it's always good to put some names to some faces, and even more so, to meet some new faces in new places, hm?" he chuckled, genuinely finding it amusing how the once bothered and annoyed nagual simply smiled at him now. But he also noticed something about her. Something he wasn't just going to comment on right now, for the sake of not ruining her mood. "But thank you for the introduction, handmaiden Lothuitl. I suppose I should be checking on those so well deserved beds for some rest. I've been promised some inside the Ezmaran temple, and I can't just wait to lay down and put these boots to rest."
  585.
  586. He nodded at her with a toothy cheeky smile again, which eventually faded into a simple polite one.
  587.
  588. "I suppose I can find youeither here, or at the Ezmaran temple again, yes? I'd hate to never see you again in this oh so vast territory of the south~"
  589. (Alberich)
  590. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  591.
  592. [07:44:25] Lotlhuitl says, "... indeed. "
  593. [07:44:25] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (I'm phoenixdoll#1102 on discord)
  594. [07:44:25] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (if you wanna hit me up)
  595. [07:45:16] LOOC - Alberich: [ Yiss, I gotta sleep now! ]
  596. [07:45:16] LOOC - Alberich: [ Just added you ]
  597. [07:46:59] Lotlhuitl apparently didn't have anything else to add to the lengthy comments Alberich had made! Instead just nodding, confirming that yeah, she could be found around here..
  598. (Lotlhuitl)
  599. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  600.
  601. [07:53:48] {Item} You drop Mantle.
  602. [07:53:48] {Item} You picked up Mantle.Dropped by Lotlhuitl. .
  603. [08:15:08] A figure in the Ezmaran marketplace, by the cliff.
  604.
  605. Choi.
  606.
  607. Her visible pleasure in seeing him again was tempered by.. something. A mixture of emotions, all felt at once and so ending up threatening to be overwhelming. Unexpected, the Nagual's sashaying step had faltered.
  608.
  609. She halted, some distance before him. His name at her lips.
  610.
  611. Her gaze scanned him, thinking herself unnoticed. If she had been noticed, it would have been easy to see at a glance that somehow the Nagual was wearing even less clothing than the last time he had seen her. The shiny, new, mythril 'armour' she wore showed so much skin so as to make a mockery of the very concept of armour itself!
  612.
  613. "Curious Mr Choi," Lotlhuitl finally brought herself to say. "I have to say, I am glad to see you. I.. I intended on travelling, but it is most convienient you are here. I have something now which you might be able to assist me."
  614.
  615. A flutter of eyelashes, words tumbling from her lips in quick succession. But then, a pause. "Or.. is there something which I could assist you with? I did invite you here, after all. Is that why you came?"
  616. (Lotlhuitl)
  617. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  618.
  619. [08:20:16]
  620. The young Moon had found himself somewhere foreign. It was an unfriendly place, he felt; there was no comfort to be found in the humid air and unaccommodating tribals that hawked the area. One of the few solaces he'd found was a particularly nice view from the sheer cliff-face overlooking the plains.
  621.
  622. He sat there, legs left to dangle over the stone precipice. The click of his metal boots upon the rock was a comfortably rhythm of pops and scrapes, much preferred to the alternative silence. It was clear that Choi waited for something; what was not clear is what he had been waiting for.
  623.
  624. An arrival drew olive eyes up from the jungle canopy. That was not a face he expected or particularly desired to be seeing so soon after a particularly off-putting experience. Momentary distaste was masked by a thin, cordial smile directed at their person.
  625.
  626. He remained silent, opting to listen to what they had to say.
  627.
  628. Work never ended, did it?
  629.
  630. "Many things that could be done, but none of which I'd ask. Go ahead; tell me what you need, and I'll see what I can do. Do know, however, that everything comes at a price when labour comes into the picture."
  631.
  632. Quietly, his eyes trimmed over her. They caught on that new armor and the lack thereof for a few moments longer than was seemly; he didn't make any effort to disguise it, either. Choi's shoulders casually rose as if to offer her a response.
  633.
  634. "Came here for something else. Someone else, particularly. It doesn't appear that such will be working out, however..."
  635.
  636.
  637. (Choi Tae-Moon)
  638. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  639.
  640. [08:38:11] Lotlhuitl's expression turned gloomy -- no. Serious. Gone was the trace of the smile -- and indeed, there had been a genuine one there! A slight nod of her head, and a twitch of her tail. She might have been annoyed, but.. really. She was more surprised. "Do many expect you to work for free?" She asked wrly, feeling that the answer was, yes, of course they did. People were stupid and greedy, and rarely value the efforts of others.
  641.
  642. She made no comment, gave no reaction as his gaze once again traced over her willowy form. That is, unless her tail flicking back and forth slowly, steadily, counted as a reaction. She definitely noticed it: the Nagual could see what he was doing. Whatever reason she had for failing to react would be entirely unclear (though in truth, she once more truly did miss any sexual undertone or innuendo in Choi's words).
  643.
  644. In any case, her gaze did not falter, nor did she seem to be put off. She was bold, fearless, and at home. The oppressive humidity, the vague occultic corruption in the air, they didn't appear to affect the Nagual. She stood tall and proud and seemed comfortable.
  645.
  646. "Hm," Lotlhuitl mused. She briefly considered telling him that she was sorry his plans had gone awry. But, really. She wasn't sure if she was.
  647.
  648. "My friend, Xitlalli, stands accused of something. Attacking some Ookami."
  649.
  650. A pause. A frown.
  651.
  652. She looked down at Choi, hands folding in front of her chest.
  653.
  654. "I wouldn't go so far as to accuse anyone of lying, but this surely is all some mistake. Some misunderstanding. There has to be some way this can all be dealt with, without.."
  655.
  656. Lotlhuitl let the sentence hang there.
  657. (Lotlhuitl)
  658. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  659.
  660. [08:42:27] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (er, arms folding**)
  661. [08:42:27] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (w/e)
  662. [08:47:34] "Fate really does have a strange taste for cosmic irony, doesn't it? How entertaining. Is your friend the Sin everyone has been talking about? I'd heard that Xo-something boy and Uro discuss the topic."
  663.
  664. A lethargic smile lingered on his face. Perhaps it was clear at this point that there was no empathy or joy beneath it; it was simply apparel, much the way his well-polished mythril and fine cloak were. After his eye'd turned back to the jungle, no remark followed for a time.
  665.
  666. Perhaps he was thinking on the topic, or he was simply avoiding the topic. Armored phalanges drum and trace across the metallic lip of his poleyn, producing an unsteady and barely rhythmic beat. It was a good minute before the boyish fiddling had stopped and his attention returned to the waking world.
  667.
  668. "That Ookami is the mate of a good friend of mine. Personally, I don't care if she did it, or if she didn't -- nor, really, do I care about the whole moral aspect of letting Sins loose in the streets."
  669.
  670. "What I do, however, care about -- is image. One can't let such a transgression slip, or any random brigand might think they have the opportunity to assail one of my companions' servants at leisure. You see the issue, yes? You're a bright girl."
  671.
  672. Olive eyes returned to her after the latest remark. There wasn't any deviant sexual undertone to the earlier comments implied -- not intentionally, at least -- but his gaze was certainly an unpleasant leer. Closer to a butcher eyeing a prized hogs' carcass than any variety of carnal predator.
  673.
  674. And his smile widened, ever so softly.
  675.
  676. "So tell me. What do you have that would make it worth it for me to call back the hounds on your friend? I'm curious."
  677. (Choi Tae-Moon)
  678. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  679.
  680. [09:08:03] "Sin?" Lotlhuitl had repeated, almost dully. The back of her neck prickled at the word, but for the life of her she couldn't work out why it had her feeling so uncomfortable. "Xitlalli is no Sin," she said, as much to herself as in response to the accusation.
  681.
  682. She let the comment about Xo-boy slide. After all, surely he hadn't meant Xoconan. It was difficult to imagine anyone calling her beloved 'boy', but here they were. Oh the times they lived in..
  683.
  684. Lotlhuitl remained standing, arms still crossed in front of her chest as she watched Choi fidget. As she listened. And the more she heard, the less she had to like. Gone was the impression in her mind that Choi was some sort of amicable drinking buddy.
  685.
  686. No, all that was between the two of them now was merely business. And, as much as some internal, tormented voice laughed and screamed that of course he talks down to you!, she really didn't appreciate the way this businessman spoke.
  687.
  688. What did she have to offer?
  689.
  690. Her emerald gaze turned to steel: effort taken to hide her desperation. Her.. intense dislike that Choi was wielding power over her. The longing, he envy she felt for that power, dangled over her! Ah, the potential there to be both carrot and rod!
  691.
  692. "I have two things. I can get you a perpetrator, and I can sweeten the deal to boot. I know where I can g--"
  693.
  694. Her ears twitched and she turned. Xoconan. Her love.
  695.
  696. The cat had her tongue. Or at least, it was stilled, in his presence. A wave of emotion rolled through her. Overwhelming. Painful. A spike of mana, corrupted and rotten, accompanied with the odd spark of electricity and a shaken exhale! Those keen eyes of hers threatened to glaze over, her thoughts torn away from her for a moment.
  697. (Lotlhuitl)
  698. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  699.
  700. [09:13:10] Click clack click clack. He walked, eyes locked on the scene before him. His cloak swayed in the breeze behind him, billowing and whipping about, while his arms swung at his sides.
  701.
  702. Now... What was Choi doing here? More importantly...
  703.
  704. What was Choi doing talking to his love? "I do hope I'm not interrupting something." His voice left absolutely zero question about the false sincerity in that comment. "What are you trying to extort out of my love without me here, I wonder?" He'd only overheard what Lotlhuitl could offer...
  705.
  706. A deep breath pursed his lips, a familiar static sensation filling the air. He didn't trust Choi, and to have him speaking alone to Lotlhuitl...
  707. (Xoconan)
  708. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  709.
  710. [09:19:08]
  711. Yawn.
  712.
  713. His lips'd parted and a low, rumbling exhalation left the man as a response to her commentary. The difference in her expression and thoughts meant almost nothing to him, and no sympathy'd shone on his expression as a response. Perhaps today was one of the more vicious days; the quiet murmurings of the Occult and waylaid curses were strong, augmented further by frustration.
  714.
  715. It definitely didn't make for a generous man. The only change to his expression thus far'd came at Xoconan's remark, at which a true-to-life scowl'd crossed his lips. It was tempered, but that must've gotten under his skin to cause such a break of placidity. His next words were accompanied by a slow, drawn out exhalation.
  716.
  717. It was like he was talking to children.
  718.
  719. "You see, good Xo, much like yourself... I am an entrepreneurial man, focused primarily upon business. When someone comes to me with a request and a suitable offer of payment, I can do things for them. Things like asking my dear friend Somnus to forger about this... Xitlali girl. Things like calling off Atl's contract on her."
  720.
  721. There wasn't animosity, so to speak. Somewhere beneath the irritation, he'd actually liked Xomac; it was a warped variety of affection, from one amoral businessman to a perceived man of similar convictions, or more aptly the lack thereof -- certainly not one that he'd let get in the way of his goals, or disenfranchise himself for -- but there were people on Agartha who he held in much lower regard.
  722.
  723. "And I'm offering those services to miss.. what was it? I forget. Regardless -- I'm insulted you'd consider it extortion. Perhaps you'd prefer I didn't intervene on behalf of her friend?"
  724.
  725. A threat? It wasn't phrase like one, but rarely did word come at face value.
  726.
  727. "Oh, I've a wonderful idea. You know, Xo -- that job I have for you? If you want to help the girl out, take it for free. In turn, I'll take this -- for free."
  728. (Choi Tae-Moon)

  742.
  743. Patronizing, still. His eyes drift back to Lotl after departing Xoconan, and his back arches and straightens a bit as he shifts in his seat.
  744.
  745. "And -- suddenly, this all makes so much sense. I wondered why your name was included in the briefing -- because -- you know, it's rather funny... I didn't make the connection the night prior."
  746.
  747. A light laugh followed.
  748.
  749. "Boy am I stupid for missing the glaringly obvious. A duo of dashing desperados; a romantic tale, I'm sure. You two are adorable."
  750. (Choi Tae-Moon)

  753. [09:44:44] LOOC - Choi Tae-Moon: (( also phrased* smh
  754. [09:48:09] "What deal does he speak of, Xoconan?" She was stiff. Pained. Visibly not all there.
  755.
  756. In truth, she was having to hold herself back from throwing herself at Xoconan. Into his arms. She felt unwell: her head hurt. Her mouth dry, suddenly feeling like cotton wool, the more she resisted. What the fuck was wrong with her. The nape of her neck prickled. Itched. Hurt.
  757.
  758. She'd reached with a hand for Xoconan's shoulder. Perhaps it looked like she was reaching out to hold him back, but, really. Needed to feel his skin beneath her fingertips. Needed to feel present. Otherwise, she'd lose herself in those waking nightmares (daymares?) again. Her thoughts were erratic. She could hear distant laughter, except, she knew that no such sound existed.
  759.
  760. The woman shivered, casting her beloved a sideways glance -- and a frown! She did not appreciate the idea that Choi could extorther. But she said nothing. No, one might get the feeling that she would save her annoyance (and she was annoyed, judging by the way her tail had thrashed about!) for later. When they were alone.
  761.
  762. "Lie." She repeated after Choi, dully. Once more she felt and spoke like her wits had left her. That was concerning. "I am no liar." Her voice strengthened. She was certain she was right. Certain. "Only cowards are liars, and I am no coward."
  763.
  764. Righteous anger brought a flush of colour to her rich brown skin.
  765.
  766. "Do not make this about us, Choi. Do not belittle or deride. You are not at home, as much as you and those you represent may like to think you can act however you please."
  767.
  768. Her anger was flaring within her. She felt it. Embraced it. Standing tall once more. Fingers, tipped with golden claw-lke pieces of jewellery dug into Xoconan's shoulder as she felt her strength returning.
  769.
  770. "I cometo you, prepared to play your game." She snarled at Choi. "Prepared to just dismiss this all as some big misunderstanding, and, for your trouble, to sweeten the deal. So do not.. do not seek to humiliate me, Choi. Do not seek to humiliate Xitlalli."
  771.
  772. The willowy Nagual attempted to press herself into Xoconan's arms. She, leaning up to whisper -- likely still audible -- "The current thought is that traitor Cherub did it all. Confused the Ookami, framed Xitlalli. Why, I cannot say. But who can say why a Sin does anything."
  773. (Lotlhuitl)
  774. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  775.
  776. [09:53:16] Ah... Xitlalli then, that's what it was about. He huffed softly, reaching out to embrace Lotlhuitl with an arm, gaze still focused on Choi. A glance to the Nagual gave him reason to frown. What was wrong with her, he had to wonder.
  777.
  778. "Somnus is a dear friend of mine as well, and you'd be wise to remember that." He spoke sharply, even as a hand came to stroke at his loves hair. "And I already worked out a solution to the particular problem. One that should satisfy all present." His arm tightened.
  779.
  780. "See, I don't work for free, and I don't care enough about Xitlalli to try and get her freed from a crime she might have committed. She'll be detained, subjected to a Truth potion, and we'll go from there. If she's as innocent as my love claims, then she'll have nothing to fear."
  781.
  782. Eyes closed. "As for Atl's contract... I couldn't care less. I'm definitely not intervening in that."
  783. (Xoconan)
  784. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  785.
  786. [10:00:57] "This is why you don't involve women is business. Here I am, trying to peacefully make an offer -- and they snap at me. Hell, here I was complimenting how good you two were for one another."
  787.
  788. Everything about this was pure hilarity to him. Though his expression retained the light smile that'd remained almost everpresent, the look in his eyes implied a deep mirth. Though irate - and perhaps condescending, if solicited by the tone earlier used - he considered his offers more than fair.
  789.
  790. Being so openly disparaged changed that. He rose from his perch upon the Cliffside and pulled the buckle-strap of his cloak, clasping it tighter around his shoulders. A light, friendly smile remained upon his face, even if his thoughts were far less than pleasant.
  791.
  792. "And I have not implied a word to the otherwise. Consider that the end of this conversation. If you want work, there's an opportunity to make twelve thousand on the table. You know how and where to get it."
  793.
  794. Armored fingers drifted through his mess of off-white hair.
  795.
  796. "Talk to Somnus, help the girl if you will. If or if not Uro and Atl see to subjugating the girl is another matter. Should the situation come to pass and your woman still wants a deal, they can come to me and talk."
  797.
  798. The smile directed towards Lotl, briefly.
  799.
  800. "Since when would I do such a thing? Clearly, you're not in any current capacity to discuss business; you're seeing specters where there's nothing but good intentions, and I won't be insulted as to imply that I've mistreated a client who came to me in good faith."
  801.
  802. "You were offered the opportunity to name a price, and you instead opt to attack my character. It's very upsetting; I thought we were friends prior to this."

  808. [10:17:10] Lotlhuitl went completely stiff in Xoconan's grasp, her hair still soft and silken and long. Nice to touch. Either the furious Nagual lacked the capacity to pull away, or she had the good sense not to. Her anger deepened, visibly.
  809.
  810. "You don't care about Xitlalli?" She repeated, voice low. Dangerous. Plainly, this was not what the Nagual wanted to hear. "I care about Xitlalli." She hissed, words intended only for Xoconan's ears. She was seething. "I care."
  811.
  812. And.. then back to Choi. Words about not involving women in business seeing her VISIBLY twitch in Xoconan's grasp. My, it seemed Choi was getting her all worked up. Hot and bothered, but perhaps not in the fun way. By the way she was looking at the fellow, it was clear that she had different Sins than lust on her mind.
  813.
  814. Her staff was slung over her shoulder, and she could feel the metal with the elaborate runework at her back. A hand reached behind her back. Brushed against it. She could feel the staff calling to her. Begging to be used. Heck, she wouldn't even have to channel magic. Choi looked weak. She could just jam it up under his throat and--
  815.
  816. Lotlhuitl shuddered. Gritted her teeth. Anyone could see that she would have loved to string together a long set of curse words. But heck, maybe Choi was right. That concern was enough to provide a chink in her mental armour. Enough for Choi's last words to hit her.
  817.
  818. Friends? She'd plainly thought so too.
  819.
  820. The woman subtly shifted closer to Xoconan, discomforted. She couldn't tell if Choi was mocking her, or serious. In an instant, her expression had shifted fro being contorted with rage to, well, obvious gloom, anxiety. She felt overwhelmed.
  821.
  822. "I.. I misspoke. Forgive me."

  830. [10:36:48] He continued to hold Lotlhuitl against himself, grasp appearing protective. A frown crossed the young mans lips at his declaration about women. His hand came to cup his loves cheek. "Do not speak of her in such a way again." His words lacked and particular fire, reserved for a dangerous glint in his eyes as he held his lover.
  831.
  832. "Noa's already agreed to the Truth potion. So, it's going to be dealt with, dear." He glanced back to Choi. "We'll get back to you." He rolled his shoulders.
  833.
  834. He sighed, glancing around. "If that's all, then..." He gently tugged on Lotlhuitl. "Something's on your mind..." He whispered to her. "You're tense."
  835. (Xoconan)
  836. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  837.
  838. [10:41:04]
  839. That was not the anticipated reaction, but not wholly undesired. What an interesting turn of events that pushed one from the brink of rage to self-imposed subjugation. Choi's face remained as impartially jovial as it ever was. One could only imagine if his thoughts were so even-levelled; there was obviously the capacity for malice hidden somewhere behind those olive eyes.
  840.
  841. "I'm pleased you understand my perspective, miss Lotl. It'd be unfortunate to sour ties with a worthwhile liaison for so fruitless a conflict as... ah, this."
  842.
  843. That earlier issue of failing to grasp the underlying edge to his words might be more and more prominent. It was rare a sentence passed that there was not a double-meaning, often the inverse of the original interpretation. Little had been conveyed physically beyond exasperation, and even a friendly man could become exasperated.
  844.
  845. The fear for Xitlali's well-being that was pervasive in Lotl's determination seemed mostly disregarded, but not callously. Aid was readily offered, but it had a price; a price the two had been discussing before Xoconan had thrown a proverbial wrench into the works of trade.
  846.
  847. At least that was settled now.
  848.
  849. He really needed to get better about conducting these things privately. Untimely interruptions throwing what should be a brief foray and a discussion into a much longer, animosity-fueled fest of bickering were far, far too common. Be it with Lin Ru, with Lithia, or with a girl he barely knew.
  850.
  851. "One way or another, everybody needs something. I'll see you whenever your friends decide they want an evening of earthly delights and excess coin."
  852.
  853. He bit back bile rising in his throat. Displays of affection and mens' willing subjugation was a particularly virulent sticking point that certainly didn't leave him on a good note when he left to depart; though -- it seemed like it could've just as easily been his damaged respiratory system acting up.
  854.
  855. "To the night and the moon thereafter. Perhaps it's light will guide you to fortune."
  856.
  857. And that was that.
  858.
  859. (Choi Tae-Moon)
  860. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  861.
  862. [11:00:41] Lotlhuitl let Xoconan hold her. Still tense. One may have got the idea that the Nagual wasn't ordinarily the touchy-feely type of person. {Only strong people get to stand on their own two feet.}
  863.
  864. "Truth potion?" Lotlhuitl repeated, turning her face to her beloved. Astonished. No. Dumbstruck. Her voice was still low as she spoke to him, tone indicating that she found this solution a little.. dubious. "Very well. She is innocent. But that's.. that seems wasteful. How.. how many truth potions do you have, Xoconan?" She squinted. "Does Maiya make them?"
  865.
  866. She turned back to face Choi. Her delicate face betraying a certain degree of vulnerability before she composed herself. Steel once more.
  867.
  868. "Time's Grace, Choi."
  869. (Lotlhuitl)

  875. [11:02:24] Xoconan whispers: "If she's truly innocent, then what fear does she have in drinking one?"
  876. [11:03:15] Xoconan whispers: "Anyway, come on, let's go. Something's eating at you."
  877. [11:04:06] Lotlhuitl whispers: None, but.. how.. I didn't realise Maiya could..
  878. [11:04:06] Lotlhuitl whispers: Can she really?
  879. [11:04:06] Lotlhuitl whispers: Have you asked her?
  880. [11:04:06] Lotlhuitl whispers: Aren't they.. rare and difficult to find?
  881. [11:04:06] Lotlhuitl whispers: I've heard of them, but I've never seen one used..
  882. [11:04:57] Lotlhuitl would follow Xoconan, since she.. was still pretty much leaning on him. Shaken.
  883. (Lotlhuitl)
  884. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  885.
  886. [11:06:40] Xoconan whispers: "I've seen them used before."
  887. [11:06:40] Xoconan whispers: "And she owes me."
  888. [11:07:31] Xoconan asks, "Prefer a chair or a bed?"
  889. [11:07:31] Lotlhuitl was visibly exhausted, and sunk into the chair.
  890. (Lotlhuitl)
  891. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  892.
  893. [11:07:31] Lotlhuitl says, "Chair is closer.."
  894. [11:08:22] Lotlhuitl says, "Xoconan, I.. I'm sorry."
  895. [11:08:22] Lotlhuitl says, "I'm trying, really."
  896. [11:10:04] Xoconan gently helps Lotl into a chair.
  897. (Xoconan)
  898. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  899.
  900. [11:10:56] Xoconan asks, "So what's up?"
  901. [11:21:10] Lotlhuitl looked at Xoconan. Her eyes large and green and oh-so-sad. She reached out with a hand, reaching for his. Intending on holding it.. before seeming to think better of it, and giving up midway. Her hand, unless Xoconan intervened, would fall to her lap. She would have instantly regretted it, if it happened. Fingers twitching.
  902.
  903. "I--" Her voice trailed off. There was something obviously really important weighing on her mind. She leant in to him at that, wanting to feel him next to her. Desperately needing to feel his arms wrapped around her. She.. she wanted him. You're sad and lonely and you want Xoconan to ravage you. Her ear flicked as she attempted to snuggle in closer to him, possibly against his jaw if he let her get that close. If he let her (with an exhale) pull herself into his lap.
  904.
  905. "I love you, Xoconan. I love you so much."
  906.
  907. Deep breath.
  908.
  909. "I'm pregnant."
  910.
  911. It was happy news. Happy news! But why did Lotlhuitl look so sad? So vulnerable? Like she was threatening to burst into tears? Probably just a pregnancy thing.
  912. (Lotlhuitl)
  913. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  914.
  915. [11:30:33] * You have been awarded 0.75 Roleplay Points! *
  916. [11:34:49] He didn't let her hand fall away, reaching out to grasp it, face serious. He reached out, letting her climb into his lap, pulling her against him. He was expecting something horrifying, and didn't speak, waiting for her to drop whatever news this would be.
  917.
  918. His eyes closed, arms closing around her protectively. Tightly, one wrapped around her belly, the other her shoulders. "I love you too... You can tell me anything..." He whispered reassuringly to her.
  919.
  920. And then... He frowned. "What's..." She was pregnant? "What's wrong?" He asked, taking in her expression. "Isn't that... Good? I'm not sure I understand." Confusion was clear, but he didn't stop holding her tightly by any means.
  921.
  922. "Why do you look so sad?"
  923. (Xoconan)
  924. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  925.
  926. [11:37:23] Lotlhuitl used a finisher.
  927. [11:47:37] Lotlhuitl leaned against her beloved, plainly comforted by his touch. She wanted to soak up all of his affection. Her ear twitched against his jaw, she tilting her head slightly to rest her head against him. Both of her hands rested against the one of Xoconan's at her belly.
  928.
  929. She was warm, and soft. Her hair long and silken and running down over her body.
  930.
  931. She trusted Xoconan completely. She knew that, really. And yet why was this voice in her head screaming at her that she couldn't? There was only one discernible thing that she could pinpoint. Xitlalli. It was because he didn't want to help Xitlalli.
  932.
  933. "I.. I don't think Xitlalli did it, but even so. I can't believe you wouldn't help her."
  934.
  935. She was being childish. Even she knew it. She was plainly still very upset about Xoconan's refusal to help her best friend. But.. that wasn't what was eating her up.
  936.
  937. "I think it must be the pregnancy. I've never felt like this before, Xoconan. I'm so lonely all the time. And.. and.. I have impulses. Like.. I.. want to be-" She stopped herself there, blushing. "I can't stop thinking about you. I love you. I need you." A shudder. "I'm just.. I'm not used to feeling like this. Like I need someone."
  938.
  939. She was still holding something back. Something had spooked her. "It's.. I know I'm being dramatic. I just can't help it. I'm sorry. I'm trying to change."
  940. (Lotlhuitl)
  941. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  942.
  943. [11:58:43] He clutched her tightly, refusing to let her go. "Lotl... If she's guilty, then she's attacked the wife of my best friend. I'm pushing for the most fair judgement. If she's innocent, then her name is cleared and nothing will happen to her. If she's guilty..." He trailed off. "I'm not going to stop my friend from seeking justice."
  944.
  945. His head pressed against hers lightly, holding her so closely. "Lotl, you know I love you, more than anything else, right? I wouldn't know what to do without you at this point." His hand rubbed at her bared midriff, softly, soothingly.
  946.
  947. "I don't want to see you like this... If you're lonely, if you need me, then just tell me. I'll help you any way I can, alright?" His hand around her shoulders came up, rubbing at her neck gently.
  948. (Xoconan)
  949. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  950.
  951. [12:03:50] "How can he be your best friend if I've never heard of him or met him?" Lotlhuitl asked, her voice a little incredulous. "Honestly, Xoconan. Are you sure this isn't a little because you don't like Xitlalli?" Her tail twitched, wriggling between them both -- against his bare chest, likely.
  952.
  953. She sighed, leaning into him as he pressed his head against hers. She really was comforted by his presence. His touch. Did she know that he loved her? "I know you love me.. now. I.. I worry you're going to stop. That I'll drive you away. That.. that you might realise that I'm really not good enough for you."
  954.
  955.
  956. (Lotlhuitl)
  957. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  958.
  959. [12:07:15] "He's one of my best friends. Noa's the other one. We were all together in Avalon, before I came here. He stayed behind, was basically forced to... I'll introduce you to him when we go to Gaiar, but he means a lot to me." He frowned at her words, clutching her tighter.
  960.
  961. "Should I be insulted...?" He spoke lightly, deciding a new plan of attack. "What did I promise you? I don't remember putting some kind of expiration on my love for you, on declaring to be yours forever..."
  962.
  963. If she tried to pull away, she'd find herself weighed down heavily by gravity, unable to escape without a fight. "You're mine, and I'm yours, forever. Nothing is going to change that."
  964. (Xoconan)
  965. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  966.
  967. [12:18:20] LOOC - Xoconan: (I gotta afk)
  968. [12:18:20] Lotlhuitl hadn't tried to escape. She was so tired. Weighed down by the weight of her thoughts. The sudden pressure of Xoconan's magic was a different sort of weight. A.. comforting presence.
  969.
  970. "Mn..." She murmured, wriggling in his lap. Against him. Pressed up tightly. Snuggled. She'd closed her eyes, hands clenching his. At some point she'd burst into tears. She wasn't sure when. Wet and hot, her agony was evident when she started sobbing silently.
  971.
  972. "Oh, Xoco." She squeezed his hand, before going limp against him. "I.. I know it's going to be okay. Xitlalli is innocent, really. I know it. But.. still, I'm so worried. She's my best friend. I don't know what I'd do if something actually did happen to her. Or to Noa. Or.. Or to you, but that goes without saying."
  973.
  974. The Nagual sniffled, feeling the tears drip off her chin. "I just.. I feel so lost. I'm sick of people talking down to me. I.. I don't know what happened out there. He was so different. I.. I went to Gaiar. Met Choi. I don't know what I was thinking. I went there by accident, actually. Of course, by accident. Only I could do something so stupid.. Ahaha."
  975.
  976. Lotlhuitl laughed. Her voice strained, high pitched. The Nagual was threatening to enter hysterics.
  977. (Lotlhuitl)

  979.
  980. [12:18:20] LOOC - Xoconan: (DM me your post pls)
  981. [12:32:51] He listened as her condition degraded, silently, holding her as she spoke. He had no clue what to say, how to help her. "Sshh, you're alright. Choi is just... Manipulative. He's got his own agendas. He wanted to use your friend as leverage. People like him are hard to figure out."
  982.
  983. But as she kept going on, Xoconan was lost on how to help. He had the distinct impression his words were falling on a brick wall. And so...
  984.
  985. He'd use more than words. His hand cupping her cheek moved down to her chin, tilting it up. His face moved down, and she'd find herself suddenly entwined in a kiss. His other hand went to her bare thigh, something Xoconan had noticed, how strangely bare she'd been, gripping lightly.
  986. (Xoconan)
  987. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  988.
  989. [12:46:30] Lotlhuitl stopped laughing, stopped talking, feeling his hand at her cheek. Her skin was wet, he had to notice. He had to notice she'd been crying. Crying like some little bitch. Her self loathing threatened to peak, but then he was tilting her face towards him. Her gaze met his. Her breath catching just before they kissed.
  990.
  991. "Oh," she murmured against his lips, relaxing as she felt his hand grip her thigh. "Oh.." And so it was that she pushed her thoughts to one side. Thoughts of inadequacy. You're not good enough. Too thin, too weak. Thoughts of loneliness and sadness and pain and grief. War is coming and Zahhual died for nothing.
  992.
  993. She relaxed against him. Relaxed this time, not limp. She couldn't move away. Couldn't do anything other than just sit in his lap and kiss her beloved Xoconan. Something which the Nagual, face still streaked with tears, seemed very keen on doing.
  994. (Lotlhuitl)

1000. [12:56:44] He kissed her with a passion, feeling like it was necessary to break her free of these thoughts that seemed to consume her. Hungrily. His hand squeezed, moving down, to her inner thigh. He'd distract her some other way, remembering her rambling, her blush.
  1001.
1002. His lips pulled back, eyes predatory. "You're mine, remember? Why would I want you to be mine if you were anything less than everything I want?" He didn't give her a chance to respond before kissing her again, not giving her a chance to do anything except react.
  1003.
1004. If she couldn't think, she wouldn't have time to let her thoughts overwhelm her.
  1005. (Xoconan)
  1006. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1007.
1008. [13:12:06] "Mmn," Lotlhuitl had breathed, body responding to Xoconan's kissing, his touch, even if she was still a snivelling wreck. She couldn't move from him. Couldn't run. Even if she'd wanted to. She didn't. But there was just something about knowing that he had her that was simultaneously comforting and, well.
  1009.
1010. The Nagual's breathing had deepened, her lips parted, pointed teeth visible as she panted and listened to Xoconan remind her that she was his. A whimper rolled from those trembling, full lips of hers. Her eyes wide. Longing. She admired everything about him. She wanted him. Needed him. He was so strong, and she was so weak.
  1011.
1012. Some part of her genuinely wished she could be everything Xoconan was. Strong. Respected. Powerful. In control - of himself, and those around him. She told herself she wanted to be those things for Xoconan, but it was more complicated than that. She didn't want to lose him. And if she truly was as strong as him, there would be no reason to fear that at all. She would be able to protect him. She would be able to stop him from leaving her.
  1013.
1014. He hadn't given her a chance to do anything except react, and react Lotlhuitl did. She groaned into his kiss, giving in. Please, she tried to say. Said it with her kiss, instead. All wrapped up in Xoconan's loving embrace. His hands felt good against her willowy form.
  1015.
1016. Something told her just to give in.
  1017.
  1018. And so she did.
  1019. (Lotlhuitl)
  1020. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1021.
1022. [13:27:28] Controlling, dominating, words that could absolutely be applied to Xoconan in most situations he was in. His hands began to roam, the one on her chin moving down, the one on her thighs sliding upwards. His intentions made themselves obvious, as he kissed her hungry.
  1023.
1024. And suddenly, she'd find herself lifted, alongside him, out of the chair they shared, floating upstairs. He broke the kiss for a moment. "I think we might need a bed for this..." And again, he pressed the kiss as he guided her. Upstairs into the bed.
  1025.
1026. To what she wanted, to her distraction.
  1027. (Xoconan)
  1028. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1029.
  1030. [13:27:28] LOOC - Xoconan: (was fun!)
1031. [13:27:28] LOOC - Xoconan: (I must go to Atl)
  1032. [13:28:19] LOOC - Lotlhuitl: (otay)
