  1. As the sun set behind the peaks of Targon Leona stepped out of the ruins that used to be the Order of the Solari. It had been a long time now, since it had been rend to the ground. Today was the day she came back, the same day every year. She never moved anything, not a speck of dust moved from it's resting place. There were bones and there was blood, and every wall had some damage on it. Leona only looked and moved along, like she always did. It was in the dusk that she felt her feelings well up from within her the strongest. She could only imagine what it had been like as the sun set that day, perhaps if she had been there it could have been prevented.
  2. Leona's head shot up as she spun on her heel, bracing as her shield made contact with a magical strike, the pale white of lunar magic shimmering in the air as Diana slowly stepped out of the darkness. "Did you think I wouldn't notice, Leona? You always take time off at this time, you always return home." the woman began slowly, spite dancing in her voice as she surveyed her target, the emissary of the sun. "Your people were fools, and they deserved their fate- as you deserve yours.." "and what fate would that be, Heretic?" Leona spat, anger burning in her glare as Diana smirked, lifting her blade in reverence to the moon "Well, why don't I show you?" she asked absently, staring at the moon for a moment before making a mad dash for the woman. Her crescent blade whipped out, catching Leona off-guard and disarming her left hand, her sword soaring away uselessly, before falling to the ground. As composed as ever Leona braced and caught Diana on the next attack, sliding her blade off her shield as it made contact, before ramming the woman. Winded and enraged Diana screamed as she ran forward again, her blade tight in both hands as she swung it around, the loud tang of it colliding with Leona's shield ringing in the dead and empty ruins before she brought it down again, and again. Diana's moves were savage and powerful, and even with all her fortitude, Leona had her hands full receiving every blow. She could feel it eating away at her strength slowly, every blow on her shield another step towards her defeat if she let it go on like this. Diana swung at her again, managing to shove Leona back with the blow, the emissary of the sun losing her footing and landing on her bottom, falling against an already heavily damaged wall. Before she could process the shock of being pushed back, she heard a loud crunch. Looking down she saw a heavily damaged skull, splinters of bone everywhere. Her eyes were wide with shock, and then they were pointed in fury. Closing the distance Diana raised her blade up again, to be surprised. Kicking off of the ground, Leona landed a decisive blow with her shield, tackling the woman with all the force she could muster and sending Diana across the floor, reeling.
  3. Before Diana could recover however, Leona was upon her again, howling with the fury of the sun as she lifted her shield up, before slamming it down on the avatar of the moon, who was barely able to block the blow with her blade. Shoving Leona away, Diana recovered quickly, her eyes glowing pale white as the moonlight shone down on her. "I RISE WITH THE MOON LEONA, YOU WILL NOT WIN." she screamed, her voice echoing with arcane might as she rushed at Leona, a blurred trail following behind her as she brandished the might of the moon at the woman. Then, she was blinded. The world was a painful mess of golds and yellows as Diana fell to the ground, screaming in pain. Leona stood, radiating with all the glory of the midday sun, her voice booming with the might of the sun "YOU ARE A PALE IMITATION DIANA, YOUR LIGHT IS A WEAK REFLECTION OF MY OWN." Tears in her eyes, Diana could only scream, cursing her fate. "Th-this isn't supposed to be this way! I should be on top, not you!" she cried out, looking around desperately as the light faded. Her vision was returning slowly, but could only clutch her sword while her eyes readjusted, her head snapping forward as she heard the familiar clink of Leona's armor, the radiant dawn slowly but surely walking away. "Come back here! I'm not finished with you, Leona!" she screamed, tears streaming down her cheeks as she struggled to her feet. "COME BACK HERE!" "You might be not be finished, but I am. No matter what you do, you cannot win. Accept defeat and move on, Diana. You won't survive if you chase after me again." As she turned away however, sight returned to Diana, and as she dashed at Leona, she thought she could taste victory, and then she thought no more.
  4.
  5. Dislodging his spear from Diana's throat, Pantheon walked to the entrance "I wish it didn't have to be this way, Pantheon. She wasn't always like this." Leona remarked sadly as she followed, not sparing a single glance to the fallen warrior as they left the Solari Ruins.
  6. "I will not let her, or anyone else, take my sunshine away."
